I like how he pulled away and said “it’s not for everyone”. It change the frame to qualifying the customer instead of the customer qualifying the seller
He's super solid. Good question based selling. Great at deflecting and handling objections. Turning no into yes. Great work. That's how you serve families.
I’ve been in solar in Oregon for 7 months now and this video has reaffirmed a lot of the techniques I use with home owners. Unfortunately going solar in Oregon right now is never less expensive in the first year but because of the way the one and only power company available in this area is increasing their rates, it still makes financial sense for most qualifying HOs. It just getting people to understand that the savings will be substantial if they can look past this year and into the next few.
just joined Lumio a few days ago, first d2d gig. Been eating shit left and right, these videos help me keep my morale up after a rough day. Keep em coming!
@@Zachx_618 Hey Zachary. I'm looking to start as a setter for solar as well. What's the company you Work for? Is virtual/ remotely/ by phone possible with them?
Never leaves an unnecessary silence. Gets him engaged at all times until it’s time to close this guy. Even if it’s not a one shot deal. That guy now has Solar for sure 😅 👌🏾
Awesome man! I’m looking to get into solar myself, no experience but I’ve been learning so much from these videos. What company do you work for? I’m in Phoenix AZ
What unfortunate is that you essentially have to sell the end product itself, not the appointment. Then the closer comes in, now has to build much less value (does less work), but still rakes in greater rewards. I know, only a problem if you’re JUST the knocker.
That's what im saying. Knockers dealing with 100 customers to get 5 appointments while the closer is closing 2/5 appointments. It seems obvious who is making the real money here
Great tonality my man! I’m one of GoodLeap’s top sales reps out here in the SoCal area. Everything was smooth and understandable. One thing all my new canvassers over complicate is keeping things simple and you executed that perfectly! I just have a question though? Do you normally like to show numbers at the door or was this just a hook? Personally, I feel like showing numbers can damage setting the appointment because the homeowner tends to compare their savings with the quote you’re showing. I personally thing that’s the meat on the bone that shouldn’t get bitten into until your in the home. Overall, 10/10 man! Much more success to you 🤝🏽
Definitely don’t talk about numbers unless you have already gone over benefits and how it would help them, but can also be seen as a trick to know who wants and who doesn’t.
Pretty good job! The guys with didn’t talk, but did so many things wrong even not talking. Unbelievable. He should have told them upfront not to make such a lousy impression.
Solar canvassing just isn’t as easy as it was a few years ago. There’s so many companies sending poorly trained reps to the doors ruining for everyone because of over saturation. Every house is getting at least 2 people a week on their door. It’s more like playing the lottery now then that of skill.
Another sales fraudster at work. The property owner should have sent him on his way and called around for estimates once he lied about his utility company partnership. We are working with your neighbors most likely he has only went to neighbors doors as well, We are with the power company's net metering program did you get the information sent out no because they did not send any out since they aren't partners with the Utility company. He starts talking as if he is connected to the power company and then turns it to talking bad about the power company how could you miss that. Are you in Solar? We are in net metering but then talks about his solar installation program always a no money down program. Here is an example No electric cost Bill due to Solar. Do they pay for the panels above their electric bill? No they don't once again he circles around to yes the payment on the panels is separate from the utility bill. Why not just tell them you trade the high and variable utility bill for a stable lower cost using solar and explain net metering is required of utilities by the government regulators they do not do it out of kindness because they would rather make more profit selling the electricity with a large markup. Utilities have to give credit to you for excess solar power you will use to cover when your use spikes or at night when the panels aren't producing. The overall cost per watt you produce will be way less then the utility would bill you and the price from the utility will only rise making it an even a better value over time. It almost sells itself no need to start every presentation with a Lie.
These guys at the door with short shorts on people won’t take you seriously. 5-7 presentations only needed for 3-4 appointments. I wouldn’t take you guys serious based on your outfit and pitch doesn’t sound like you going straight to the point not to waste time .
It’s terrible. He gives all the information at the door. These are the type of leads people call in saying “I did all the research after you left, and no thanks.” I feel so sorry for the gang of inexperienced fellas following him around.
Nobody is sending anything from the electric company. That’s a lie. You lie about rate hikes. You lock people in to your fees each month and raise those rates. You got the run out of my town.
If it's so great why is this such a hard sell? LOL...it's hilarious these door to door people all say the same, "your neighbors down the street" etc. Etc. Let me go talk to the neighbors first, those neighbors are actually the sales people, next time bring the neighbors! for real!!! I'm dropping ya'll some knowledge in sales. I actually teach sales people when they come to my door on how to sell.
Yea these fucks are relentless on me and use that "your neighbors are all getting our solar" that approach does not work on me, im not a confirmist normie or boomer who needs to emulate what my neighbors do. The other tactic is shaming me on voice mail when i dont answer the door for another one of our "scheduled appointments" where they cry about having to drive 70 miles to meet me, i just say yes now to everything because they dont take no for an answer, but i will not open my door again to them. The reason i did at first was my dog gone missing and hopeful soneone found it instead i get the annoyance of zoomers on my doorstep. If there product was so great they would not depend on archaic door to door sales, this is not the 1900s.
This door-to-door sales technique is weaponized, disingenuous and highly misleading. The sales people know they’re selling an inferior solution that benefits themselves at the expense of the homeowner. Constructing clever lines of questioning to brain hack, creating false selectivity parameters, omitting key facts and preying often on susceptible people is unethical and arguably despicable.
Dude would you rather pay a bill for the rest of your life that continues to go up or a bill that's stuck at a flat rate and will eventually go to zero. I would pick the energy bill that ends after 20 years. Instead of paying a electric bill monthly that will probably be $1000 in 20 years.
@@travismann4732I work with Sunrun and in most cases if the home qualifies they get it for free( 70% of homes qualify) And it gets them a flat rate and a cheaper bill. I’ve talked to our costumers and they say that being with us 3 yrs they are 10/19 satisfied and are glad they did it🤷♂️
This is brilliant. It's a subtle thing, but he didn't convince the homeowner of anything, he guided the homeowner to convince himself
I like how he pulled away and said “it’s not for everyone”. It change the frame to qualifying the customer instead of the customer qualifying the seller
Prize frame that Solar!
Yeah that was great. Perfect example of "everyone wants to buy, nobody wants to be sold to." At that moment the customer wanted to buy!
