I actually laughed out loud! When they turn the lights down for that barrel gem then they used a super bright flashlight on it! Great video, thank you.
nobody ever talks about Antarcticite and if you guys have a sample I know myself and most of the lotl fandom would love to see it. nobody ever talks about it :/
These gemstones are so pretty and yet they're so fragile too.😯😀💎 Some I know but others I didn't know or seen are very unique looking like the one with very tiny "hairs"/spikes. My favorite is the fluorite gemstone.😍🌌💎 Good video and thanks for sharing.🙂👍
yeahhh finally bringing crocoite on the show! i keep my small specimen in a sealed box and seeing you handle that with your bare hands made my heart skip an unhealthy amount of beats. it's just so fragile... and to top it off it's also light-sensitive and becomes Cr2O3 over time if kept under sunlight, turning it brown to black. in fact the sunflower painting made by van gogh was made with lead chromate and the shades got considerably more brown over time
@@implausibleimpossiblehypot4006 i'm not saying they shouldn't have but i was just a little scared that *something* might happen and they'd be left with 2 specimens. i know it crumbles naturally, just breathing on it funny would probably turn it to dust lol
An additional refinement on the original color of the Maxixe beryl. It was a deep, vivid blue, closely resembling top gem blue tanzanite color or fine blue sapphire color.
I bought a pendant as an aquamarine, but in real life I thought it looks like tanzanite or sapphire. I asked an gemologist through UA-cam and mentioned Maxixe. How much would 2 carats faceted maxixe cost?
Okenite is like a, cute fluffy kitten, it lures you in with. Cuteness, then it turns nasty , and attacks, and the crystals can be hard to remove, from fingers
There's a quarry in Iowa with vugs containing hairs of Millerite. Many collectors, including me, have been disappointed to discover at home that their carefully packed specimens had all fallen off the matrix due to road vibration in travel. Also, iridescent blue-green-red calcite specimens should never be washed as the iron mineral film is poorly attached and comes off easily.
I would love a video on gem stones sensitive to light!! I have two pieces of hackmanite and one glows brilliantly under uv & the other looks really dull…I’m curious if light has effected it or just lower quality?!
I want to add some "puffball" mineral specimens to my collection so bad! (Okenite & Mesolite especially!) But I live in a super dry & dusty environment, and I don't have a display that would protect them yet. 💔
Could you do a dedicated video on Maxixe online sources don’t do a very good job explaining what it is and I’m very confused. Is it an aquamarine or Is it not? What is it rarity? How many places is it found?

Great video, thank you.
Sorry newbi gemstone collector could you please help educate me by telling me what about that made you laugh???
Loved this episode. If there are gonna be more episodes like this I would love to see phosphophyllite featured. Such a gorgeous gem.
Says photosensitive.. And proceeds to shine a flashlight on it 🤣
@@raayne92 pretty sure they said the color is stable and they're being careful just in case
I LOVE PHOSPHOPHYLLITE!!! ONE OF MY FAV GEMS OUT THERE!!
Contc pakistan
Okenite is like a deadly animal that will lure you in with its cuteness xD
Another cute spiky mineral I would love to see you unbox is Mesolite.
and then there's stuff like uranophane which is just as fragile while also being radioactive *and* poisonous
Don't forget Scolecite and Tuppersatssaite
That iridescent sphalerite with fluorite is to die for. I’ve only seen about 2-3 of those on the market, ever. Wish I could get one!
nobody ever talks about Antarcticite and if you guys have a sample I know myself and most of the lotl fandom would love to see it. nobody ever talks about it :/

LOTL FAN HEREE🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
That fluorite/sphalerite/quartz specimen is insanely gorgeous! 😍
Could we have an episode about white ball shaped zeolites? Okenite, Mesolite, Gyrolite and Scolecite and how to tell them apart.
Along with Churchite
That random moment when you find your old neighbor on a UA-cam video about gemstones. Hey Robert it's Colin 😂
I love selenite and desert rose selenite!

@@r3q92 why the shit just crumbles naturally how else were they supposed to show us it the way they did ?

😱 So awesome!
4:30 What's the point of dimming the lights if you're going to then shine a bright pocket light straight on it?
Minas Gerais Brazil is where I live here it is very rich in beryl I have several copies 😊💎
The stinger on nettles is made of silica..
Dang, I thought fluorite was soft. I love the way it looks but when I used it in jewelry it arrived in protective wrap but still very scratched.
Where can I get one of those hairy geode at? That one was a 1st and absolute beauty.
Hi, I love all. Thanks
Beautiful

Is it possible to wear maxixe as a pendant?
Can you feature chalcanthite? I have a small one at home, but I’d love to see a bigger one!
My crocoite still has the powdered laundry soap buried deep in it after all these years still. I’m way to afraid to even try

Very Nice video! Hematite is also fragile. Selenite too indeed. Just bought one myself and you can Scratch it and it will damage.
I have to admit I touched my okenite several times and it felt extremely soft and fluffy 🥺😬
Great video!! you guys should do chocolate diamonds
crocoite is now the twizzler gem in my brain xD
YES! youtube recommandations doing a solid!! :D
I.... want... ALL OF THESE!
Okenite is seriously, adorable, although, probably.... very painfull xD
Opal is my birthstone, they are fragile so I Resin them ,so far their not breaking like they did !!! Yeah ...
No dioptase???
LOL I should have watched the ENTIRE video before commenting.
Sorry, "absorving"? xD 8:10
Hmmmm, thought that Maxixe is a unique color for aquamarine, and it only locality is Brazil
All gems are fragile if you hit them hard enough
is the selenite specimen natural or is that glued to the base?
Natural, it's not uncommon for more than one gemstone to be part of a specimen
More looks like quartz Crystal in the first
Maxixe's color is so unstable, it should never see sunlight or bright light.
*proceeds to blast the maxixe's beryl with a flashlight while smiling into the camera*
Crazy.
ohhhh god this one is giving me anxiety lmaooo
Đà đẹp của 💯💯👍👍👍🗻
💎😎👍
the guy is super cute. -_-
❤👍👌

Okenite would be how I died. I'm like a toddler , but I can't be taught. 😫
Stop it ! Ow ! Stop it ... Ow ! Ad nauseam
Great now drop them
