As I listen to you more and more, I understand our common ground. When I find a food I love, I "eat it all the time." I have watched hundreds of vegan weight loss videos (actually closer to a thousand) that show diversity, but in reality, we eat a handful of choice foods. I love your channel. Thank you for your inspiration and for helping me stay focused.
Finally got an instant pot! Ordered some Rancho Gordo beans - the Vegan box- to treat myself!! Coming soon! Have made several of your bean shakes with canned beans ❤️. Gotta try the bean toast.
Ouu I have never heard of the Rancho Gordo beans - what is that? And oh everything is about to change with that instapot lol. I was late to getting one too and I would own it just for the beans alone! Cooking it that way causes ZERO gas for me...like actually no gas at all. It's wild compared to the canned beans!! Hope u love it!
Don't most breads contain oil? What brand of bread is the bean bread in the video. How do you prepare your zoodles? Were they steamed before you drizzled the chez sauce on them? One more question, I've read so many articles about people losing weight by following the WFPB diet, a lot of them say they get more energy. I never felt like I had more energy. Did you feel like you had more energy? I wonder if the oils and fats are what make people feel sluggish. Thanks for sharing the video! I've been following you for several years and just like you I struggled (still do) to lose any weight. Too many temptations when I go grocery shopping. I need to place my orders online and pick them up at the door. LOL
Thanks for sharing. I use cashews in my cheese sauch and ranch dressing. I try not to make it every week but fat is so flavorful..lol...I lost the first 20 pounds...I am struggling to get more weight off and I think this week I will eat more potatoes like I did in the beginning and up my beans to 1 cup on the smoothies since I am getting hungry between lunch and breakfast. Also I LOVE that date caramel you created. Please let me know if you have a good fat free dressing recipe for my vegan dense bean salad. :)
Congrats on your 20lb weight loss!! And yes, those dressings are a tricky one lol. You can always take your favorite dressings and do 1 of 2 things. You can sub the nuts with beans but add all the regular other ingredients and it usually works out okay this way. The other thing you can do is use aquafaba in place of oil in dressings - this also works out pretty good as well. It will never be EXACTLY like our high fat dressings lol (darh eh?? lol) but they come pretty close :))
Oh gosh! Fantastic!!! Absolutely no issues whatsoever. My digestion is perfect and I have no more pain. There are alot of scary stories out there and unfortunately alot of ppl do suffer after gallbladder surgery, but so far, I am perfectly fine 💓🙌
@@gettinghealthywithstasia I had my gall bladder removed 30 years ago. I did have issues for many years afterwards. But I have learned more about it through Dr. John McDougall and now understand how to keep it under control. With the gall bladder removed we are at a greater risk of colon cancer in the upper colon, but as long as we consume a low fat diet, the risk diminishes. Plus eating WFPB reduces the risk greatly too. ;-)
@melissameyer6726 wonderful advice. I have also enjoyed learning from Dr. Mcdougall about his stance on gallbaldder (or lack thereof lol) health. It works out perfect for me that by following this lifestyle, it's perfect for gallbladder health too! Win Win!
Wow!! 20th anniversary! That's incredible!! I'll tell you what, if you lose ANY amount of weight that you are happy with, please come back and comment on one of my videos and I would love to give you a personal shout out to you and your partner. 20 years is a long time and definitely worth celebrating!! Wishing u all the best 💗
Your eyes!!!!❤❤❤ omg your gorgeous!!😊 Also, did you feel more hair loss with an oil free diet? Was your skin less oily/healthier without the oil? Thank you so much!!❤❤
Love your advice. It always helps me! 😊. Love all of your books ❤. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate that you have gone through this weight loss journey yourself and it’s still fresh enough for you that you have the compassion that shows through.
Thank u so much! And yes! That is also my favorite part about my entire channel. I KNOW what it's like to struggle. I also know that it's not just about "knowing" what to eat or not eat. There are so many reasons why we struggle and I love being able to help others figure some of these things out that block us from losing weight. It's definitely still fresh and something I have to be intentional about every single day. Thank u so much for watching and supporting my channel 💗
I’d love to see video on tools you use in the kitchen (I’m curious what zoodler you use. I hate mine and it keeps me from zoodling). Love your videos, Stasia!
Hello Stasia, this video came up when I clicked on YT, thanks for sharing, I would like to know, do your books come in Hard Copy that I can order and receive? Im not good with Ebooks since I am a hands on gurl ☺ I would love to have them .. Thank you, I really want all 3 if they are hard copies... Thnak you. Great Job on your Weightloss
Hi Sharon! Unfortunately I do not have any hard copies as of now, but I'm thinking that this is something I will be looking in to in the near future. I am also a hands on girly (I looooove books!!) so I totally get it lol. Stay tuned and cross your fingers with me haha, that this might happen for me sometime in the near future!!
Hi Are all you books available in E-books as I live in Australia & I am looking seriously of changing my food intake &would like to achieve weight loss without being hungry. Great videos
Thank u! And the most I eat at one time is 1 cup, but that's only if I'm really hungry OR I need to stay full for a while (like if I'm leaving the house or something)...but sometimes I have had 2 shakes in one day...so the most would be up two cups a day, but on average I would say around 1/2 cup- 1 cup a day :)
No no not only paypal. Hmm, that's strange. Please try this link and if u could let me know if it works or not, that would be great 😀 payhip.com/GettingHealthyWithStasia
They're all good choices. I have a couple of issues. I find when I eat beans they upset my stomach and make it gassy. Is there any way to avoid that? With chickpeas I'm fine. I'm also concerned about buy frozen fruit as a lot of these packages have a lot of sugar added so I'm hoping there's a way to get them sugar free. I also live in Canada, in Montreal.
Great questions! So if chickpeas work for u, then you can always just stick with those :) when it comes to other beans, I found that canned beans always made me super super gassy. Once I started soaking them and then high pressure cooking them in my instapot, I can not stress it enough...I have ZERO gas. I'm not saying that in an exaggerated way either, i literally mean absolutely no gas when they are prepared this way. And when it comes to frozen fruit, I almost always buy my fruit from costco and it's organic, but even when I don't get it from there, I always check the ingredients and make sure it's just the ONE ingredient. Are u suggesting that they add sugar to these bags without us knowing? That would be super disappointing if they do 😞
@@gettinghealthywithstasia Thanks for the tips. I don't have a pressure cooker but perhaps I could buy the beans raw and cook them and see what happens. For frozen fruit I don't shop at Costco as you need a car to do so but I can always check the ingredients and see the sugar counts. It's possible that sugar could be added by these companies.
Oh definitely! There is protein in almost everything and I eat a ton of plant based protein in my diet. I also think there is alot of unnecessary hype over "protein amounts". I try to eat a balanced diet and not stress about the rest. I have never known anyone in my life to be diagnosed with a protein deficiency, so I'm not too worried about protein. I give more importance to vit b12 and vit d.
Actually surprisingly, I get absolutely NO gas at all from the beans. Now, that wasn't always the case. There was a time I couldn't tolerate a single bite of beans. I have come along way. And yes, Suzy is correct. If they cause you distress, then go slowly. Like reeeeeealllly slowly, a tbsp for around 2 weeks or so until your stomach adjusts and then increase to 2 tbsp and so on. Also, I find that cooking them from scratch reduces gas SIGNIFICANTLY. I always soak first and then cook in the instapot and I literally have no gas eating them this way! :)
Beans
No nuts, seeds, avocado
Boil or steam potatoes
Zoodles
Fruit
I think I got them all.
I have all your cookbooks. Great stuff.
Yes…keeping it simple!!
You missed the fibre protein shakes 😊😊😊
