I wouldn't say that... I thought I was fast in games until saw a speedrunner... then thinking to myself... but that's cheating -.-' RIP Life Goal, I guess... I don't like breaking games.
It's kinda true - we spent hours and hours and countless deaths - to see someone's just run through in 20mins 😅
But I don't see it like that.
I see it like: everyone makes his first runs and made the same experience, like we did.

It takes him hours and and hours and deaths till he's sooo good at every skip, cheese etc..
(Probably even more time than we need, to make - a naked,barehanded or whatever run 😉😅)
But after all:
That's why I prefer the;
Every boss - glitchless speedruns! Way cooler and they've mastered the game like WE play it.
BUT same problem;
They run through every normal enemy and skip almost all of the items - what I would NEVER do - it's kinda boring for me - to play by myself! But I like to watch speedruns sometimes..
Soo yeah:
I explore every single cm or inch (whatever) of the game and collect EVERYTHING!
Plus; Every, literally EVERY SINGLE ENEMY, has to DIE! 😈 - AT LEAST ONCE! 😉🙌✌

That jump to the roof during Gyoubu/Demon of Hatred fights is so frackin hard. It takes me at least an hour every time I try it, and he makes it first try not even looking at the screen.

A Very Dope Hat You have no clue what you're talking about, glitched runs require a lot of skill as well, these guys know the game inside and out and can beat it glitchless as well. The fun is in seeing how quickly you can get to the end of the game. And of course cheat engine isn't allowed, what the fuck?
@A Very Dope Hat EASY glitches?? You can't even imagine how hard it can be to pull some of the glitches in any% runs. It seems like you don't know what any% or speed run categories are in general.
This speedrunner beat the game with his feet, a dance pad, and also beat it blindfolded.
I like how I just went from one video which was uploaded 2 seconds ago to the next being 9 seconds ago uploads I feel like a notification squad

He's not a dark souls speedrunner, but SmallAnt1 does get quite hyped in his runs. He went from variety to speedrunning though, so I'm sure that's why.
