Thats evelution
2030= watching someone talk about watching someone watching someone play
Murlog “azmongold reacts to prod watching glitch filled speed Run!”
Reminds me of a hilarious sketch by another youtuber: kmac2021 "Reaction coach reacts to reaction". Give it a watch. You won't be disapointed.
2040's = The game plays you
The problem with being faster than light is that you can never escape the darkness
Dude i need that character slider
@@slatersann3440 yes
@@slatersann3440 we all need this character slider
“The problem with running fast than the speed of light is that you’re always trapped in a world of darkness”
*The problem of being faster than light is that you can only live in darkness
First time i showed a mate of mine the binoculars speed boost I had pretended to have never played ds2, reacted to everything as if first seeing it. When we were co oping and got to the area with like 10-15 hollows I activated them all, turned to him and was like "Well shit, See ya" Stripped and binoculared the fuck outa there. Never heard the man so confused in my life
This, is how dark souls was meant to be played
You should watch "No damage" run , from Otzdarva
That whole thing was a rollercoaster of emotions
He's already mentioned it in a different video so he already watched it
The giant Lord took 1500 damage because he lunged into the fireball that was falling from the sky. Idk if that can happen in the main game, but it was def calculated
The Giant Lord's hitbox only loads when you get close enough to him. I don't think it was ever intended for you to outrun the ball of death, and that oversight saves speedrunners a fair six seconds.
Everytime he gets the goggles glitch it just feels like he snorted a rail of coke and got mad energy
I love glitched Speedruns because...Knowing a game in and out and abusing the SHIT out of it is just so amazing to me. Just completely breaking it ya know.
Excited for more reaction videos!
I prefer glitchless runs cause it shows mastery of the game's actual mechanics. Some glitch runs are amusing though
@@Walamonga1313I prefer glitched because it shows more mastery of mechanics then standart glitchless mastery of mechanics shows. Because there is a limit what you can do so it gets insanely optimised in glitchless. In glitched there is a always way to improve and find new ways to finish game faster then in a glitchless run in the end.
Didn't Distortion2 have a record of like 16.20 for several years? The longest standing record in any Dark Souls game? This must be really old then if it's several minutes longer than his PB/WR.
You can see it's from 2014. Interesting choice, I guess Prod may have wanted a speedrun without commentary but still from Distortion2 as he's probably the best ds2 speedrunner.
Im pretty sure there was 14 minutes speedrun of DS2.
In his 16.20 (or whatever it was) Distortion also managed the frame-perfect feat of throwing an urn at Nashandra at precisely the moment she appears, so that her AI stops working and she just stands there.
The speedrun is so glitchy it skipped a little more than 10 seconds at 4:01
I enjoyed watching this with everyone. Felt like going to the movies with friends
@mindharvester
How is that sad?
Everyone got together to watch a speed run and talk in chat? When I hang with my circle every weekend and game sometimes we look for horror games to make one persona play and enjoy their reactions or make fun of or some random movie none of us has heard of to look at. Since going to the theater for movies are a big no in this whole quarantine this feels like that on a different scale.
So how is this sad?
I don't know what you expected by putting comments like that on UA-cam, 21st century trolls
Although to be fair it is pretty sad
Although to be fair it is pretty sad
@@jjgpvp1258you comment is to late keyboard warrior.
That Pitter Patter Of The Foot Steps When He's At Hyper Speed.
“Was Aldia a SotFS thing?”
Me: Was Aldia, _The Scholar of the First Sin_ a SotFS thing? No way, fake news.
He's in the vanilla game as well lmao
@@shrimpjak1873 Aldia was added during the SotFS update so yeah not entirely the original vanilla DS2
@@alephkasai9384 yeah, just the clip that he's referring to is prod asking if aldia is unique to sotfs
He may be quick but he’ll never be fast enough to escape the pain 😔
4:19 lol that was like the speed acumulation of mario 64
Aldia and the additional ending was actually added into base dark souls 2 when scholar came out but that was it.
Some people who speedrun a game practice doing it so much that they actually come to hate the game they are running it's a little sad
Huh, I never heard of that.
@@86Fallowcp I said some not all and what I meant by sad was ruining something you enjoy not them as people
@@sweetkilla22 Huh, I didn't say anything about the sad part.
@@86Fallowcp I know I was just thinking about what I said and wanted a correction that could be read is all
@@86Fallowcp and most of the ones I have heard say they hate the game they run is alot of old school stuff like goldeneye and mario 64 things like that old school games
The original did have the scholar too, you just had to get the dlc the only changes are enemy places
Prod, your voice is pretty nice. It makes your videos and streamings very entertaining (plus your jokes, obviously). So, that's it. Keep it up!
Have been subscribed for years now and I just have to tell you from time to time that I love you channel my dude. Always a fun ride with you. Keep up the great work. ♥️
I think since the boss loaded in before the big rolling head it did damage to him where in a normal playthrough you wouldn't be able to spawn him in before the head so it wouldn't traditionally happen 11:21
Everytime prod sees stairs he says ladder
Prod, that's nothing compared to your speedrun no damage all bosses, no death by *gravity* 😳
when he rolls over a parried enemy thats how he floats in the air
The reason he was rolling over the enemies is because in the original patch of DS2, you could cancel most animations' startups with rolls, so what he was doing was riposting the enemies and cancelling the animation, what that does is it locks your character's Y axis (?) so that they don't fall and always retain their height, which allows you to climb on a lot of stuff.
If you want runs with explanations you should check out GDQ, it's a marathon so the runners always explain what they are doing and why.
Prod is the Comedic part of SoulsBourn UA-camrs
Also the Binoculars were in the game for a reason THIS
Damn he beat the game faster than I got through character customization
Damn this is a blast from the past. I remember when he uploaded this on his Distortion2 channel, and was thoroughly confused the whole time. It was great.
I really wish the binocular glitch was still in the game. It was honestly not that bad, you could definitely abuse it, but it was still fun to have.
@Ping Bong Most versions of the game already come with the patch, and you can't use an unpatched version in pvp.
As much as I love watching speedruns - I could never do it. I enjoy reading lore and looking at enemies / environment way too much.
I got Vietnam flashbacks form DS2 pvp when people used the binoculars to speed up and just backstab u to dead
This was hilarious, thanks for uploading. Also SOTFS is probably my favorite DS game.
To do the Out Of Bounds (OOB) you need to:
1. Get binoculars
2. Parry someone
3. Roll over them while holding R1/RT
4. I don't know where to go, but you can now go OOB!
Oh god. That binocular glitch. That was amazing for pvp. I think it was Otzdarva or that pineapple guy that used it.
5:57 lol exactly, the faith he has in not dying to gravity right there lol. When other people jump of a bridge, it doesn't go that well usually 😅
This is most likely DS2 unpatched. NG+ is absolutely brutal unpatched, I play unpatched DS1 and DS2 on my old 360.
Same, buggy as fuck, but fun to see the original releases
Yeah...watching speed runs is always fun...trying to figure them out is weird :p Anyways keep up the amazing videos Prod
Hidetaka Miyazaki: Working as...HOLD THE FUCK UP
Distortion is great. For souls games, he's my go-to. Very quiet but wry humor when he gets going. Excellent pick.
Also! I'm sure you know by now but if you want to watch a fun glitch Doom speedrun, Distortion as a couple.
4:24 he just blj'd into a parallel universe
I can hear the Windmill Island music coming straight out of the thumbnail
"How do they figure this out" was me playing ds2 blind for the first time.
If you parry someone and roll over them, you become immune to gravity.
If you wanna see a crazy ass speedrun, I always recommend Legend of Zelda OOT 100% No Source Requirement by ZFG. It’s the truest look into exactly how broken some games really are
You should watch the glitched Sekiro run. Swimming is OP.
Wasted more time in character creation than dude wasted beating the game.
Dist is a gnarly runner. Love him
The parry thing is weird, rolling and riposting on the same frame tricks the game's physics into keeping you in a "riposting" state where it tries to hold your coordinates still, but doesn't expect you to be able to control the character. There's a few other odd things. Branch skip is pretty difficult to pull off, I remember trying it when this first came out on PS3 before the bug got patched, just enabling the bug in the first place is hard enough, let alone actually using it to fly half way across the map. Using it to fly around in PVP was fun tho
The good old days. This speedrun route was actually not that hard, so a ton of non-souls speedrunners were going for this back then as well. I think the strat right after the bino boost and parry glitch got patched was just to fight the rotten a bunch of times to get the souls needed for the shrine. Nowhere near as fun to watch. They patched most of the fun out of this game. DS2 reminded me of DeS in build bustedness before they nerfed everything to the ground. And yes, bino boosting during PvP was pretty fun.
Can I have the sauce of the priscilla picture at the bottom right corner?
Aldia was introduced with an update
The thing is aldia is actually in the first DS2 as well, it's a NG+ thing though (plus I don't think he's an enemy)
@Psilovecybin oh right
DLC content not NG+ content
This man got to where I stopped playing the game from it just not being fun in 7:32 seconds
Dragon's tooth makes for a real fun run.
Joseph would be proud of this dude.
Aldia does appear even in normal game.
Scholar was broken from the start with it's weird 8 directional walking paths.
He still holds the World Record for Schollar All Bosses glitchless run.
Prod has officially become a reaction channel
All I want is to watch a UA-cam video and then out of nowhere, "Let's play RAID SHADOW LEGENDS!!"
Mr. Moon “Let play Raid shadow legends”
Raid let’s play legends if ur wonder were I got that form a UA-cam name Nux
I'm working on a sick resistance build right now.
Wow this dude is amazing
try a fallout speedrun next! the glitches are unparalleled
That was nuts
8:59 you forgot about them changing Lava into Flowing Pizza
Not sure if you’ve seen it but a titan fall 2 any % run is so entertaining. I suggest bryanato
Dark Mode should be the standard now. Any white background is blinding on my 27" monitor, even on 0 brightness.
Nice video bro
I kinda wanna see Prod do a speed run attempt.
Have you tried Darksiders 3? It’s souls related too.
dang there was a flexile sentry in shaded woods in normal ds2?
Ds2 reverse all bosses is my favorite ds2 speedrun :)
everyone should give a watch sometime
Love you Prod
Who knew you could attain heaven in ds2
I just barely noticed Prod and Super sound the same.
Distortion2 also has Any% Runs of both BB and Doom
Um Prod? Minus times are a good thing... gotta watch more speedruns my dude!
I'm on the skeleton lords... I'm a confused boi
Dist has runs on doom eternal now btw if you have played it so you can watch that it's crazy
14:20 probably Dist himself. He has found ALOT of glitches and skips for all Soulsborne games. I dunno how he does it. He has a knack for it, I guess!
I really recommend catalystz's Dark Souls 1 run. Either GDQ or his UA-cam Channel (all bosses in 1:04:something)
Filip Lacuška catalyst is amazing. Great guy aswell
This was cool
Also bino boosting was so goddamn fun
If you like these types of souls runs. You’ll love the insanely glitched out DooM2016 speed runs. WR or not
Nice vid again
To be fair, I somehow manage to trigger a lot of these glitches unintentionally. This game is held together by bubble gum and staples.
This speedrun lasted longer than my relationship.
By extension you are a very good speed runner in relationships, only you chose the bad ending
@@Kat-j19347 the bad ending usually takes much longer than the good ending so this was clearly a tactical decision
Dark theme is superior
8:33 he is on the original dark souls 2
How does the running man fit into the lore?
Strategically build up speed for 12 hours.
Why is Prod watching the video in Incognito mode? Is it the force of habit of searching for "other things"?
Distortion is God!
Idk if any1 discovered this neat glitch for farther gascoigne (bloodborne) that makes him stay in 1st phase and it was my first run
This is the power of autism
Shame this isn't the patch with the Nash insta kill. I would have liked to see Prod's reaction to that.
I'm pretty sure there was a way to freeze nashandra before using Holy water
He did all of this with half an R1 press.
"Using Goblin Transportation and Parallel Universes we can travel to Shaded Woods"
I honestly wouldn't be against more of these videos
Link for speed run??
