lmao, its true. I used to do stuff like this with call of duty. Played in a practice match against bots on easy mode for an hour - hour and a half and made it so the only way to kill them is via headshots, also turned off aim assist for training so i’d really train my aim. By the time I get back into multiplayer, the other players feel like easy bots and headshots are easier to land and my reaction time is better as well as my aim once I turn Aim Assist back on tldr - practice really does make perfect. Bet this game would be tougher if it was half speed though, lol.
The game is probably not really running exactly at 200% speed but a bit lower than that cuz the computer couldn’t handle that quickly, so when you play the video at 0.5x speed it feels a lot slower than a normal game.
today I learned a speedrunner that held world record for a while, and was the worlds fist sekiro speedrun holder didn't know you could reflect genichiro's lightning for massive damage
it's so difficult to get it through my head that the video footage isn't just sped up but that the game is actually double speed, it's so confusing to me for no reason
The "game journalist mode" joke at 2:55 is actually right. The infamous "you cheated not only the game but yourself" tweet spawned from an article where a game journalist beat Sword Saint Isshin at 50% speed after doing the rest of the game normally, and felt satisfied with his accomplishment (and wrote an article about it for some reason).
It’s cool how this seems to be half the length of a normal speed run video. Which makes sense. Kind of, I guess as long as he doesn’t mess up, then it makes sense.
I've seen sooooo many gameplays of the guardian ape fight and I'm surprised no one uses the phoenix lilac umbrella to cover themselves when it screams, very useful
Game Journos "I slowed the speed down to 75% and it's playable now!" Speed Runners "if we double the speed of enemies we can get through the game even faster"
Well, generally yes. I saw one guy run Sekiro for the minimum number of bosses (and mini bosses). At the time of the meeting with Isshin (young Issin), he defeated only a monkey, a fallen nun and a dragon. Therefore, for Isshin, he had to choose a similar strategy. 100 stabbing attacks with a sword right in Isshin's ass, give the old man back his hemorrhoids.
