I would keep this one. It will always hold that special place in your heart. Especially since you have recovered from surgery this year so beautifully. ❤
Love Love Love it Barbie 🤗 your doing great with your leather sewing...looks store bought! Also thank you for letting me watch you use your scan n cut. I have one and love it but I need to use it more. Would like to watch you transfere svg files from a bought pdf file and transfere it to your scan n cut....and canvas workspace transfere. Hope I'm making sense Barbie. Thanks again💜
Thank you for this video! I am going to try this method, looks great! I have used orange cleaner for my mat. Let it set for a few minutes and use the rubber scrapper to help get all the stuff off the mat.
Hi! Thank you for this video!! On your next one, could you show how you saved the pattern in your scan n cut. On the bag buddie pattern, do you scan it and save it to canvas workspace them make a duplicate and weld them together to get one piece?

Newbie question. Why aren't the svg files provided in the correct size like pattern pieces are? And also how do you know what size to resize them to? Thank u.
that is a good question on the sizing... I'm not a creator so not sure I can answer it. Many brother scan and cut files have to be resized as the mats only allow a certain number of images I guess. It is very easy to do... Video coming!
I’ve used the zig glue pen to restick my mats (after cleaning!) with pretty good results. If you have any tips for making svg’s from my pdf patterns, I would love to see! I’ve had success with some but it’s a tedious process.
It's this one, the canvas workspace is for your computer, which you have to download... so worth it though. Brother ScanNCut SDX125E Electronic DIY Cutting Machine with Scanner
@@jeanniesdesigns5295 Thank you so much for the info. I really enjoyed and learned a lot with your video this morning. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge so freely.
This is what i've tried... but just ordered some other, so will let everyone know. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016O9L5TK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Sorry but you also use the transfer paper to put on top of any words you might cut so that the letters stay in line to form the words. Not really designed for what you are using it for but it’s a good idea
This is so helpful! Thanks!
Hi, great tip. If you keep the transfer tape on the back of your scraps you can reuse them on your scan n cut. Cheers
Great idea! :)
I would keep this one. It will always hold that special place in your heart. Especially since you have recovered from surgery this year so beautifully. ❤
You know what, you are right!
Beautiful!!!
So glad you like it!
Barbie I have wanted a good tutorial for the Scan N Cut. Because I love your style, I will make sure I don’t miss..
See just released video... hope it's helpful!
To make it easier to see the lines you can change your scan to black and white which should give you better contrast.
Oh my goodness... thank you
A canvas workspace video would be awesome too.
working on it, thanks Lanette!
this was so helpful to learn about the scan cut. it cuts better than my cricut. thank you!
You're welcome! So glad it was helpful.
You would be shocked on how well the Totally Awesome spray would clean your mat. And it's cheap. 😊
Thanks for the tip - will give it a go!
You spray it on full strength, stir around the debris with spatula scraping very gently, then wipe clean with baby wipes. Non alcohol. Voila!
I came here to say the same. It is amazing how well it cleans the mat and brings back the stickiness.

Thank you Judy!!! more to come!
Thank you Barbie for doing this. I am going to give it a try.
You can stick felt pads to the bottom of your scan n cut so it slide’s easier

That sounds like a great method!
Absolutely beautiful!!!!
Thank you!
Great tutorial! Mats are so expensive…
❤Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you!
Another tip is to only use the Fabric Mats.(biege) Much stickier. Lasts longer.
I didn't know that! interesting, will look!
If you run your mat under hot water you can scrap off the gunk and old adhesive. Then use Zig 2 way glue to restick your mat for longer ware and use
I will try it, thank you

What do you use if you don’t have the sticky like you? Great tutorial
I would just tape the piece down or I've used basting spray. however the purpose of the transfer tape is to save your mat from all the fuzzies.

Barbie, i am wondering if you think that thins could be made so that you sew up the sides and bottom so they are not raw edged?
Not sure... I haven't tried it,,, it's worth a go! Let us know!
What size needle do you use when sewing with leather? Do you cut your leather bag pieces on your brother or do you use a rotary cutter?
Hi I'm using an 18 needle... yes I cut some out on the brother, the bigger ones I cut with the rotary.
Jeanie is the transfer mat contact like you cove school books with?
