- Опубліковано 1 чер 2024
- Peter converts the Goose house to make it chicken friendly and safe for Annie and Sally - our last two remaining Hens. Peter moves the 'auto opening' chicken door from their old coup and builds a new door for the back of the old Goose house to help Anna with servicing their new home.

Sally and Annie have wonderful parents.
You’ll have to install motion detection night vision cameras up next to protect the chicks, so Annie can relax.
👍🤗❤🌹💐🌹
Love Sue❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Beautiful home for the chickens ✅✅✅✅✅✅
Peter, as always brilliant work. I really hope the chickens stay safe now.❤
I think these small video's are great at showing what you both are up to! and are tasters for your longer projects that I hope will come soon, as we love what you both do living in France.
Chicken PTSD must be terrible. Poor Sally & Annie, they’re smart to stay away from the coop for a while. Poor babies🥹
Well, that was very satisfying. The chickens will be safe and happy. More to the point, it will give Anna peace of mind knowing all is secure. Best wishes to you both. 😊💃🕺🐔🐔
Anna will be in my Thoughts and Prayers. Good idea to protect the chicken as much as possible. Another job well done. Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings to you all.

Nice job as usual Peter , glad you are protecting the chickens and geese fro predators 🥰
What about some roosts, where can they lay eggs, brood boxes, on the inside?
Wonderful carpentry skills Peter as usual ! Such attention to detail . Love the way you sharpened the pencil ,my Dad always did it like that , he never used a sharpener !!
Your understanding for and love of animals is just wonderful. I agree with Anna's idea. Better safe than sorry. ❤
So let it be written 🐓this is our house 🏠 now!
Peter you make it look so easy! That would have taken me 3 mos to finish. Not only are you quick but done with quality. This hopefully will give Anna peace of mind,
N oubliez pas le grillage en dessous beau boulot😊
What a craftsman you are brilliant.
Peter you are so caring and resourceful. Hi Anna hope you are feeling a little better. The chickens may have had a short life but a great life thanks to the loving care and beautiful home you created for them at your farm, Bless!
I think we all need a Peter you are so talented Peter regards from down under
Yes so talented, Deb also from down under, Love It!
So the Chickens have gone 'From Farmhouse to (Chicken) Chateau' 😂🤣🤣💞
PS. Yes, I thought exactly the same re strong/close knit chicken wire. Good idea methinks. Xxx
Great minds eh Moira!!
Great job, but there’s every chance the pole cat or whatever the animal was that killed the poor chickens will do the same again, please check the hen house and don’t trust the automatic door ❤🇬🇧
❤❤❤
Poor chickens. I hope their new little home helps them to feel more secure.
Thank you :-)
Hi both, resourceful as ever, good job Peter, they’ll be right at home. 🏡 hope things are getting better for you. ❤
Clever chickens, silly geese😊. At least the palatial goose house hasn’t gone to waste.
Wonderful to watch you work you are so talented, pleased Sally and Anna will be safe now in their chicken palace perhaps we can have a glimpse of them in a future video😊
Your animals are so lucky to have found you 💖
Yes they both really know how to treat animals so well, great people, Love It!
Great job. The goose house looks fabulous. I am so sorry about the chickens and what they went through.
Love it when you say "Offer it Up"....hahaha .... just a true carpenter expression.
Great job - as always - Peter 😊
beautiful chicken hotel .
Thanks for taking such good care of your remaining chickens❤. Your loss was so sad. Stephanie at LaLande lost all but one of their chickens to a fox a few weeks ago 😢
Excellent idea of Anna's to cover with chicken wire for extra protection! 👍👍Watching Peter work, I was concerned about the narrow spacing in between the woven wood wall panels. There's truth in the old saying that if an animal with a flexible skeleton can get it's head through, the body will follow.
You can also buy tiny cameras and they could be link to an app on your phone.
The chickens will feel safe now. 💕💫💕
I am hoping that you are both feeling better after the polecat attack. It is understandable that the chickens do not, at the moment, want to return to where it happened. I understand that chickens have a sense of smell and they will have the scent of the creature in their house. A good scrub down with a vinegar solution may help there.
Always resourceful Peter!😊
So creative mostly with materials that are at hand, clever.
Thanks for taking such care of your remaining chickens ❤. Your loss was so sad. Stephanie at LaLande lost all but one of their chickens to a fox a few weeks ago. 😢
Foxes and stoat like mammals are the only things apart from man that kill for the sheer pleasure of it.
My friend’s children had a couple of hatches and some rabbits and baby rabbits a fox one night came along ripped the wire netting of the hutches and the wooden door and killed everyone of those bunnies.
Good afternoon both
Hello! so the geese have squatters hey? hahaha, had to say it.. maybe their instincts are guiding them..
Another great video, you are both so caring of your animals it’s so nice to see x
Great idea Peter, and a Good Morning to both of you
Thanks, you too!
Perfectly understandable they have trauma from what happened maybe you can build another in another part of the outbuilding and repurpose the old chicken housing. You can always clad over the lower half for the gaps in the outer fencing I guess. Great tool for sawing :)
Best wishes to you from N.J. USA
You are not alone losing your chickens. Just heard Stephanie at Lalande had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and only two survived. Sad. 🍷🍷🇬🇧🇬🇧
thanks
You're welcome!
I still think Anna can get in the same door as the chickens.
Bon travail. Où iront les oies cet hiver?
Great job Peter..lets hope it does the trick and Sally & Annie will be safe.. where are the geese now? Do pine martins leave the geese and ducks alone? 🤔❤❤ xx
Where did you get those skills!
Very nice!
Another good job!
👋👍❤️
So pretty! Nice!
Hoping this conversion makes all feel more secure…..brilliant solution…..& Peter you so cleverly designed it with ease & safety in mind for the chickens (& Anna). Homeopathic Ignatia is a wonderful remedy for the grief and shock that you and Anna must still have from the trauma and you creating workable solution to decrease the frozen fears is such a fine way to deal with it all and move on with full enjoyment of keeping the chickens🌸
Hi Guys I thought thing was on your work bench ready to give you a hand 😂
❤❤❤❤
How long will it take the Geese to get used to the fact that they’ve been re-housed !! ?
Do they need some sort of higher raised perch in there?
Yes, Anna has started and installed a high perch up in the eaves of the roof - hopefully this will be good for them two!
What about the poor geese you only have two chickens you have quite a few geese it’s a game of favourites can’t they share?
Good title for clickbait. Have you thought about a movement detector?
❤
