- Anna has had Donkeys in the past, she loves their personality and affection. Over the last week or so, we have heard the constant calling of a donkey from somewhere around us; we set out to see if we can find and check in on him, a welfare check really, and as we do so, happen on a beautiful Chateau, which is now a renovation project!
We end our trip out with a strong café cream!

We have the loveliest supporters and followers of our UA-cam channel 'It's a Wonderful Life'. We remain committed to provide our content regularly, and of late, to increase the frequency of our vlogs. We have and continue to receive, many kind requests, to send gifts, or in some way help us financially with our channel. We have given this a great deal of thought.
Any contribution towards maintaining and hopefully enhancing our channel is very much appreciated, but never expected.
Please donkeys need a companion, horse, goat , donkey. Plus coats aren’t waterproof so need shelter
Anna, I understand your distress listening hearing an animal calling. Credit to you gor trying to find the donkey.
The chateau was a bonus. Always love to see beautiful houses needing renovation xx
Hope the donkey finds it's way home, the history of these places is very interesting and yes hope to see it finished some day lovely place. I like your place you and Anna have made it very beautiful and manageable. ❤️
Oh what a shame you did not find the donkey, but instead found a beautiful OLD building, it was magnificent in its day. Thankyou for sharing Peter and Anna😘
Great to see yourself and Lady Anna out and about, your banter has been missed
Drone might help’? Dangle a carrot from it to lure the Donkey! 🥕🐎
HHahaha that would make a great kids book! Love It!
Love It!
Peter s’exprime comme un présentateur de radio ou de télé.👍
Anna also has a lovely voice 💗
merci bien :-)
Such a sweet video searching for the donkey. I rescued a donkey many years ago by walking in the nearby woods shaking a bucket filled with some feed and carrots. He was called moonlight and his companion Agatha! We had them with us for many years. He had been left behind when a family had to move. Have a lovely weekend.
Thanks for the chateau history. Hope you find the donkey...maybe ask neighbours? They are lovely creatures!
Great to see you both out together, best wishes to Lady Anna great to see her
BEST
Hello, I hope you won't give up and will eventually find out if the donkey is ok🧡
I'm sorry you didn't find the donkey. Nice to see a chateau and learn of it's history.
Always great to see the 2 of you! Thanks for the research and sharing Chateau de Parnac with us. I have faith Miss Anna will find the donkey!
Lovely from Blackpool England 🏴 uk
Thankyou for another lovely vlog..I hope you find the donkey eventually .keep us all updated..!! ❤😊
It’s like stepping back in time on this country walk.
Please, please, please, two donkeys together. They get incredibly lonely and depressed if they are alone and need another donkey with them, they are herd animals. Their coats are not waterproof and they need easy access to shelter. We have had donkeys for years and know that they are the most intelligent and loving animals…but…never let them learn bad habits. Treats are only for when they achieve something willingly and receive lots of praise…like lifting their hooves for cleaning, or accepting a head collar for example. If treats are given without reason, they will become nappy and you don’t want that. There is a great donkey sanctuary in the Dordogne called Heehaws, they always have donkey pairs looking for a loving home.
There used to be a donkey where I live
I never found it 😢
❤❤ love your videos. 2:14
Fascinating story about the chateau y’all found! I agree about those towers, my son is a lineman and he climbs t(EMS to repair them all the time. He’s even worked in the mountains where he’s been flown in hanging from a rope to fix a tower line! Ugh,makes a momma old quick, but my youngest is a special ops marine! I guess I made them too tough as a single mom! Lol hugs and love y’all! From Texas!
Hello dear people, People of my own heart... Horses and equines can get caught in fences.
Obviously not warm weather as Anna has a scarf and you a polar-neck jumper !!!
Are you still hearing the Donkey ?
Loverly video 🤗👍🤗👍🍰☕🍰☕🌹💐🌹
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Well now that is the smallest and strangest donkey in the world you found which makes a funny noise. 😂😂
Bringing that chateau back to life would be wonderful! The cost would be overwhelming! Hope to see updates on their progress. Hope the donkey search ends well. We in the states have had been inundated with never ending rain as well. I feel a bit water logged. Enough already! Love your videos see you soon.
A donkey hunt - that's a first!
Would be fun if you could help out with another chateau renovation......
I'm sure they could use your immense skills!
Love the little videos of French life.x
Thoughts and Prayers.Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings.

You are so welcome
There’s a wonderful donkey sanctuary here in NSW Australia- donkeys can be so overlooked. Just shoved in a field on their own. Sad.
Sorry you didn't find the donkey. Hopefully, it found shelter or returned home.
Anna, I am sure, is an animal whisperer. Thanks for showing the chateau. Interesting history. I agree that it would be costly to keep heated and maintained.❤
❤❤❤
You are keeping me up again! LOL its late here in Southern Australia! I love these videos. Beautiful château how unusual. You both do what I do, sticky beak at renos of old buildings.. keep us updates please. Yes agree about the entrance and just have a beautiful garden out front ..
❤
No donkey found today but keep after it...he/she is out there somewhere! What a stunning chateau being renovated! That crane....a great way to proceed but the expense!!! One of the things I love about France is that you can literally drive around a bend in the road and a stunning chateau or ruin will just appear......almost like magic. I never tire of just finding these beautifies whispering to me to "come have a look and dream a little!" I SO enjoy these treasure hunts with you and Anna! I found an amazing chateau on a high hill on my way to lunch with you and Anna last fall. I think you should pack a picnic and make a day trip there soon as it is truly charming. Plus, I found in the same general area a local fois gras business.....only open one afternoon a week but proud of myself for hunting it down after just seeing a small sign on the highway. Sending along the exact locations for your future adventures! Cheers!
👋👍❤️
Hope you can locate the donkey soon ?!
Great to see you, Miss Anna! ❣I wonder if the donkey was sleeping when you two tried to find him during the day because he was obviously up at night concerning Anna. 🤍I always love it when you guys show and talk about architecture style and eras. Fascinating! 🤍Reading the comments, I'd love to know the tale of how Peter & Anna met! 🥰Was it on the dance floor or shopping for 1940's attire? 💃💞🕺You could make a silent film telling the story! 🎥
Strange to hear a braying donkey in the middle of the night (what's the chances of that hey).
We did meet at an 1940s event / dance, although Anna didn't want to dance with me at first !!
I’m still interested (or nosey really 🙂), to how in the end Anna met you. ………… just by thumbing through the items on UA-cam several months ago-I came across Anna’s story from a local news channel in Yorkshire. I must say that I was in awe and amazed of the way she had chosen to live her life in her house. I remember her saying it was difficult to find someone to share her life with the love of old 1930/40s items and ways.
So how did Anna find Peter 🙂
I also read that article. I think Anna has compromised a little with some modern comforts but still seems happiest in her vintage clothing.
@@Louisefenner ………. That’s a totally different thing……… I didn’t ask anything of that nature, all I asked was ‘How did they find each other’.
Yes my question is a nosey one and possibly they don’t want to answer and that’s fine, but it was only because I recognised Anna, on a local news programme in a town in Yorkshire.
At a dance.
@@Louisefenner True love will do that to you!
@@radiogramgramophonetoons5802 No harm in asking, curiosity is a great thing!
Hope you find your donkey soon ???
c'est juste la saison des amours chez les animaux
I wondered that too! 👍
Oui, les pigeons roucoulent beaucoup à 5 h du matin. Je cherche moi aussi d’où ça vient?
Bonjour both 🙂
Maybe you can interview them Peter and Anna once they are done renovation if they are willing would love to see the finish. Sorry you didn't find Eeyore :( maybe someone was playing that video on their phone ;) I am the same would rather have a cottage or a manor home much easier to keep and maintain. Glad to see you two out and about again. That cat didn't look well I hope it belongs to someone seems friendly. The cafe is nice did they have a full menu?
Great idea Love It1
We shall keep an eye on the renovations and see if we can get to meet them - would love a video inside!!

You really need 2 donkeys; they are not very happy alone.
Or a Goat or something as a companion!
Hope the donkey mystery gets solved.
Maybe it was giving birth.
Donkeys are desert animals dont let them overfeed and shut them up at night.
How odd, do donkeys call constantly? Wondering if someone, somewhere is winding you up. Given that the you tube video sound you played of the distressed donkey is super realistic, could it actually be a prankster instead?, someone very close to home perhaps.....
Great to see you both out together, best wishes to Lady Anna great to see her
