Ordering someone to turn over all their private information to the police to prove they aren't committing crimes when there is no evidence against them seems like a clear cut violation of the 4th amendment.
I’m not arguing the constitutionality of it. But I suppose by your definition, requiring people to file tax returns or apply for EIN numbers would be a problem too? We do this all the time and frankly, after having submitted several of these in the past few months, the information requested is far less than you put on a tax return or other government documents.
Hey Jim question for ya. If I am an author selling books off of amazon as a sole proprietor, and I am using a logo on the bottom cover of said books/ social media platforms. What kind of trademark do I qualify for? How would I file that in taxes when amazon has its on tax sheet for me to use?
@jimhart I believe he was referring to the fact that you said you would leave a link to where you needed to go to update the information about the corporate transparency act.. I did'nt see it listed either so I an Assuming that is the link in question.
Does this defeat the purpose of using a registered agent for privacy purposes? I understand the other benefits of having a registered agent, but solely looking at the privacy aspect of it all.
Hey Jim thanks for showing up to my school you were awesome!
Any time! It was a ton of fun.

No, the information you submit to FinCEN is not made public, but anything you include on your Articles of Organization is.
If Inc File was used are they the applicant?
Good question. I think that is probably correct.
