Great video Daryl, thanks for posting this!
Awesome,glad you liked it!👍
Very informative and interesting Daryl! Thanks for sharing!! Bob/carveit
I like seeing "real" people using these products! thanks. I do have one question, you said no wood as a mixing tool, and then you used a paper cup as a mixing vessel. that's not a problem?
Thanks for the kind words. No ,it's no problem at all,it's a lined coffee cup ,so no moisture absorption. They're sturdy too ,tried like a red solo cup way to flimsy to mix in.I've seen on instagram ,the smoothon seminars for bigger volumes use a popcorn container like you get in a theatre. Similar to the cup I use. Thanks for watching.
Love your videos... would love to work in your shop!
Great video!
interesting material. no ammonia fumes ! probably better than latex when not using a mother mold in a sand box.
❤❤it🎉😊😊
but it says right on the yellow part a label by WEIGHT, not volume.. brushon 50 is 100:125 by weight..

Hey. Liked your video. I have a question. I bought these exact rubbers that you have in this video, about 6 months ago (thought I would get my mold done sooner). But now I finally have a good mold of a Michael Myers mask I've been sculpting for many months now, finally. I am excited to use it. However, I am worried if my rubber is too old. I have never opened the box. This stuff is expensive and I'm stuck on making a decision to just buy a new batch, or am I safe with using the one I currently have? Do you think it'll still come out the way it should?
If they were unopened They should be all right.
If they were unopened They should be all right.Give it a real good stir when you open them ,use a plastic piece of pipe ,not wood.
@@mrconcreteartisan I decided to go ahead and wing it for my project a few days ago. You were right! Common sense told me to do just that (stirring and seeing how it would react, using a plastic stirring tool) and it seemed fine. I then went ahead and bit the bullet and used it on my project and it came out better than I thought it might! I have a video of it on my channel. Appreciate the feedback!
ive used it a year after i opened it with no problems
how the latex is prepared to be applied with a brush
I want to make a silicone mold of a pillow... what do you suggest? A pour mold or a brush on mold?
Hi Shana, that's a tough one.I would personally call Smooth-on and get a rep to give you the best product for the job.
