I was looking for something like this for my own project, watched the whole video and realized that you are making them for the same reason I am! Have a big project in the works (FB related) and this will be a big help!
Hi Ben! I hope to. I’ve deciding mixing/sanding concrete in my small apartment kitchen may not be the best choice for my long-term health 😅 so I’m pausing for awhile. I hope to make more in the future. Follow me on IG to find out when I drop more objects.
How many times do you think you could use the mold before it starts to lose detail? I’m thinking of creating embossed, tessellated pavers for the yard, and I am looking for the best mold material that won’t break down quickly and will maintain the detail.
I would expect this material to work great for your project. If you are making lots of pavers, I would recommend making a large mold with maybe a few different shapes. Making a few pavers at a time would really speed-up your project. I have no doubts about the durability of this material, but if you intend to make many pavers, then having thicker walls on your mold will be a good idea.
Hi, I used two orders. One order is 2 pints (one pint part A and one pint part B). You should measure the volume of whatever mold you intend to fill, and determine if 2 pints is enough or if you will need more. Make sense?
Incredible video! Been looking for something like this for a while now. Can I ask where you were able to purchase the Vytaflex 40 from. Seems a bit hard to find🤔 I see 00-35 fast and there is a Vytaflex 20 as well on Amazon just curious if that would work?
Hello! The material is very strong in that it will not break or separate. Though if you are pressing it, it is flexible and may bend, changing the shape of the final casting. Do you know roughly how much pressure you will be exerting on the mold? The smooth-on website has technical specs for all of the materials that may be helpful.
Incredible craftsmanship. I was also entertained by your versatile use of that box cutter...
Thanks Matt, nearly shanked myself at one point😂

“How to make a concrete mould” of course would bring me right to another fingerboarder haha 😎
Glad to be of service!
that's clean work !
Thank you very much for saying so!
There we go man!!!
u the man
I did the exact same thing! I figured the aluminum is smooth enough and won’t adhere without a release agent. Lol
My exact thoughts!
Amazing content by the way. Keep posting!
@@JoleyTube thank you!!!
I need a great source of these rubber compounds in Southern California
will you be making any more of these obstacles?

I was looking up the video like this for so long. Very well made and good presentation.
Thank you! I hope you create something beautiful and functional!

hey how many orders of the vytaflex did you use? Is one package enough?

I’m glad you found the video to be helpful! I found Vita flex 40 online at Reynold Advanced Materials.
Thank you very much! You've got a new sub!@@bountyarchive
very cool, quick question, how many of these roughly have you managed to actually sell from your site?
Hi! Maybe about 15. Making them in my small apartment became complicated with all of the cement dust for sanding.
I want to make a casting for those Oldcastle garden wall blocks from Rona. How would I do this??
I think this video can be helpful, you will just need a lot more material!
how strong is this material? because I want to make a mold that can be pressed, please help me

This is the video I was looking for thank you. Did you spray the AMAZING MOLD RELEASE on the mold before you poured the cement in it?
I should have sprayed! I did not and it hard to get the mold off. Next time I will for sure.
You should also spray mold release in the mold before pouring your cement product
How did you make the original obstacle?
Hi! Check out my other video “How to Make Concrete Fingerboard Obstacles”
Can you use silicone to mold concrete objects though?
Yes!
What the heck is it??
This is a miniature skateboard obstacle, made to be used with a miniature skateboard or "fingerboard"
