I used to sell a lot of clothing on eBay but I had a very clever couple who told eBay that they hadn't received the item ONE month after it had been posted,by then I had cleared all my old receipts out and had no proof of posting,it cost me £30. as eBay believed everything the lying B told them. After that I kept all receipts for at least two months and wrote on the receipt what the item was, I also got the more expensive items signed for . Thank you ☺
So how can I track the receipts like you said do I take screenshots of when I sell it? Do I take pictures when I send it to the delivery person or whatever
I'm not following this. eBay keeps the listings under your seller profile so I'm unsure why you wouldn't have proof of posting. Also, there had to be some kind of record of the posting as the couple had to make the claim in the first place. As far as them not receiving the item, what about tracking? Every single item I ship on eBay, I buy the shipping directly on eBay which automatically uploads the tracking number to the order. Also, I would assume it's possible the couple didn't receive the item and the shipping service lost the pkg. Some items do take a while. For example, I ordered something on eBay in the states 2 weeks ago and I still have not received the item. And it keeps showing it's stuck in the town over for some odd reason. I've also had pkgs, get lost by UPS. It was a large pkg too. I don't even know how you lose a recumbent bike but UPS did. Oh, and it didn't happen once but twice! Not joking. So anyways, I'm not quite following the details in this comment.
You said something on one of your videos that really impacted me. It was “eBay is a marathon not a sprint”. I’m only into reselling for about a month and I was expecting fast sales. Some things thrifters recommend sell and some aren’t selling but I’m trying to take note of what is recommended. Thanks

Hey, thanks for the video. I am a full time reseller of used clothing and have been for 4 years now. I love it and grown my business more than I thought was possible. I would like to add a couple of things, I hope you don’t mind. - it’s best to include 12 photos (all different if you can). Ebay have openly said they boost listings that have all 12 photos used. - it is good practice to wrap/ bag clothing and not just put it straight into the poly mailer. It doesn’t matter if you wrap it in plastic , paper, bubble wrap or use clean recycled packaging, but you really should do it. If the poly bag get wet, torn or damaged, there is a much higher chance the clothing inside will stay safe if double bagged/ wrapped. - adding FREE returns boosts your listing. If you had free returns instead of at cost to buyer, I bet you would sell more. - you said background should always be white. I agree it should almost always be white , but I like to use a grey background when taking photos of white and really light pieces. They get lost on a white background . - you said that you put in your terms that you want people to pay within three days of buying your items, this seems odd as ebay gives customers four days to pay. I get a bit annoyed when I read people’s terms and they go against what eBay say. Just to ideas. Thanks again got the video.

I want to sell some of my overalls on eBay. I know brands like OshKosh and Washington DeeCee can go for a fair amount of money or, at least, some are sold for high amounts of money on the listing page. My question is how do I figure out how much the overalls weigh? Can I have the buyer pay for the weight when I take the overalls to the post office when it is delivered there? It's very frustrating to me. I've sold one OshKosh railroad jacket off of eBay where the buyer also bought a few DVDs from me as well in the same order. All the other stuff I've sold so far on eBay has been blu rays and DVDs, and, usually, eBay usually knows how much a movie weighs when I fill out the description without me having to figure out myself.
Very helpful video, im happy to see that I do a lot of things the same way as yourself, do you spend much time washing/ironing your clothes? I've been putting in my description that " due to COVID 19 Australia post have been delayed in some places in Australia" as one person was not happy with how long a order was taking, as I was the one mailing it to his house. 😅
Good to hear mate, I only wash clothing that is stained or has a strong odor - most clothing items I don't wash. I only iron valuable dress shirts. I have had some buyers annoyed by Covid delays, I just calmly restate the reason for delays and that the item will arrive soon.
Great video--thanks, a lot of tips! I have another clothes question for you, please. I have a few clothes items that have been custom made for me by a seamstress. They made with very good quality fabric, still in a good shape and somewhat trendy. Is it possible to sell clothes without a brand? And if it is, what would be your recommendation for the process? Thanks in advance!
Thanks! Glad you found the video helpful. Custom clothing items are still definitely worth selling. The key for getting a good price will be in the title, make sure to emphasize the quality material, specific style and features and you should be able to make a sale. Hope this helps!
Thanks for all the tips man 💪, but like what do you do once you get to the postage office, like how’s the interaction with the people at the postage office work?
