I just played here and it was after a few days of heavy rain so it was cart path only and with the amount of hills and how soft the turf was, I got my ass kicked. I didn’t have a single lie that was flat. Almost every shot was with the ball above or below my feet by what felt like 6 or 7 inches. I was scoring in mid to high 80’s my previous 6 or 7 rounds and Deerfield humbled me with a 102. It was challenging for me but I’ve only played 40 some rounds in my life. Once I get more consistent ball striking I’m coming back for redemption. Greg video, it gives me inspiration brother
Well done, Nice front 9! Great up-and-down on 2 of those holes. Course management is key. On Hole #1 Par 5, I wish you would have pulled out your pitching wedge or 9 iron and just advanced the ball down the fairway for an easy short approach for your 3rd shot. I would also refrain from hitting Driver on short Par 4's 347 yds + 327 yds. I always feel there's more to lose than to gain there. Too much risk hitting the ball thru the Fairway and into trouble. I know you're striping the ball off the Tee right now but no sense getting overly aggressive and putting bogey or worse into play IMO. Solid ball striking in today's video. Kudos to you and your golf etiquette taking care of divots, ball marks, raking tracks properly... I feel there's too many golfers who lack the proper golf etiquette and respect for the course like they should. Keep grinding!
@@JupiterGolfClub With this heat you may want to consider carrying a 2nd Golf Cap in the Bag to switch when it get soaked and then let the other dry and switch back if you have to. May need a 2nd towel as well
I've been digging the videos lately. I swear ever since you joined that AGS golf league, your game has been tighter! I always wanted to play Deerfield and definitely need to get down to Delaware to play it. I love the old school country club courses and elevation changes. I agree with crabbygolfer, if you laid out on #1 from the tree line, you probably shoot even par on the front. Are you going to post the video for the back nine? Oh and was that one guy TheBumblingGolfer in your group? He looked familiar and I think he plays in that league as well. Keep up the great golf content, man!!

I definitely could’ve done better at being conservative on that first hole. lol AGS is cool and something to do at the moment but eventually I’ll break away from them and play in actual competition. I didn’t film the back nine since it was so hot. I have not played with Bumblinggolfer yet.
