@D_cooper86 Absolute perfect title Drew. Been following you for quite some time. Your ability is remarkable and certainly one to emulate. I only need another 10 inches of height and I'm right there!
First time I've seen Quad, Swing Catalyst Dual Force,Hack motion and DeWizz all used together. Brilliant technical explanations too, especially of the above and below the x axis traces for force direction. We've missed you Matty boy. More please.
I could have watched Matt and Drew talk shop for hours. Two smart tacticians that drop gems on the golf swing. All we needed was Larry C to join the discussion to make it the perfect trio. Desperately need more of this type of content where viewers can actually knowledge build. Thank you Matt and Drew. 🙏
Effortless speed is so true! I've been working on making my swing effortless and just messing around on the range trying to swing as slow as possible while hitting the ball as far as possible I've really noticed that hand speed and breaking is key. I've gone from carrying my 32° 7i 160 swinging hard to carrying it 180 swinging effortlessly. Too bad that feel is still fleating on course, but that's what more practice is for.
@@TPM188 for me, it's a combination of straightening my lead leg, while letting the club start releasing at the same time. Imagine that you were trying to crack a whip at the ball using only your lead arm.
Great informational video Matt! Love it. I don’t care what my body is doing, as long as I am hitting pure and straight. I am good (example Scottie and wolfe)
Love seeing the hackmotion and which of scott’s patterns it fits to. ever since watching that video with him on their channel its something ive wanted to see discussed more
Would love to see a video of you two showing how to work for speed. There is alot of emphasize on ground work and its easy to find but you talk about peak hand speed to impact hand speed and its really interesting how to improve. Thanks.
Prob one of your best videos! I love this forceplate stuff. Been following crossfield and Dr scott lynn talking about this for quite a long time now. Would love to see you do a video with those guys going into it more. I find it fascinating. So much we can learn from this compared to all the old true-isms that perhaps werent always that true.
What's amazing is that when Cam Champ won the 3M a while back, he was getting in the upper 140s (even 149) BS with an 8-iron and hitting lasers at pins. You can find iit on youtube by searching his name and 3M 8-iron. That guy's a freak and he's much smaller than Drew. Very nice job on the analysis. Cheers.
Very interesting discussion, and impressive performance. Coaches talk a lot about slowing down the hands to get the club head acceleration; but never illustrate how this is done. Could you add a video that shows us lesser mortals how to achieve this? More please.
Matty, I told Ian late fall 2022 that TXG should be installed in Montréal ( with an accent ! ) not knowing he was on the verge of selling the business to 🤫. There’s a definite need to have such competence and credentials as yours in this City. Yes you have to joint in a French speaking or bilingual person but that’s good business. WE CANNOT TRUST PARTISAN FITTERS having an association with Callaway or else. Keep the good chronicles and stuff on your channel. Good job 🎉
Before everybody goes crazy and cant figure out why he is so long . here are a couple things to note. Drew looks about 6'2" Pause at 1:27 -- You can see he's well built and fit He has good swing mechanics. A person like Nelly Korda has great swing mechanics but because she is much weaker and shorter her driver swing speed is around 95mph
Fantastic video. I think the comment that you made in the end was profound when you said that the hips are reacting to the ground forces that are being applied to them coming up from the feet and that manually trying to do it pointless. Trying to control things during the swing motion will be inefficient in all cases whereas helping the body understand what is coming is paramount. Could you do a video that goes deeper into braking forces in the swing? I think this is very misunderstood, if understood at all, how important braking force is in the creation of force not just from the lead leg, but also how all the other body segments must accelerate, decelerate, brace, to create stability which is exactly why Drew's swing motion "looks effortless."
Could watch an hour of this. Hope there's a driver conversation coming. Drews speed compared to what it looks like is wild. Bryson, kyle, and martin look like the swing hard and drew just doesnt.
Would love to be able to send in a video and get my swing broken down like this. Insane amount of knowledge here. Wish I had access to this type of conversation with someone near me.
This is awesome. Love these types of videos. Curious: you mentioned seeing some folks have their pressure/weight extremely forward and they’re just chopping down hitting fades. I really think this may be me. I’ve always thought more weight forward = more inside out path. You’re saying more weight back should produce more in to out path though?
@@GolfLiberty interesting. Now I got something to play with at the range. I’ve always felt the more weight back the more you’d have to swing out to in. If you translate your weight laterally away from the target and keep it there it seems virtually impossible to swing inside out but that’s all static movements and positions and perhaps not reality when we’re taking about dynamics of a swing in motion.
@@GolfLiberty thanks. It’s impressive how much light shows on your video given the other lights you have to have on. Much appreciated! Keep up the enjoyable and informative content!
Mr B, if possible please can make a video explaining forces and pressures required to improve hand deceleration on the downswing with driver to maximise energy transfer to the clubhead (hope that makes sense!) Thank you :)
Tall guy will increase speed, slightly shorter club (although Avoda is 37" 7-iron) makes it easier to deloft, should also note than an Avoda one-length 7-iron is 30*, the loft of a modern 6-iron (hence the low launch and longer distance). Guy has good swing and mechanics, but don't underestimate how much the club is doing for distance.
14:00 I find this part hard to understand...do you mean that amateurs SS at P5 shows (+) numbers?? and you guys talk about faking a draw could you elaborate more on that subject because it seems fascinating!!
How do you hit down 6 degrees with a 7 iron and spin it 5400? I need to know. I have similar 7 iron speed (96-98 mph) and i spin it 8000+ rpm with a draw. Cant figure out any way to lower the spin. Lowest i can get is 7500 with a pro-v1
Know idea myself, but I think being 6’2 and over helps. It seems a lot of long hitters are tall. When it comes to the pros there are other factors, but the average guy doing those kind of numbers typically seem to be on the taller/bigger side. Not excluding shorter people, but the majority are big dudes. Helps increase centrifugal forces when your arc is bigger.
Thanks for letting me come in and film/talk shop Matt. Absolutely great time
You're the man Drew!
108.8 7i !!!, you beat my best driver speed ever of 107.

Depends on the player but I often see people not transfer any pressure to the trail side almost at all and get very steep
