I can definitely tell you that I've eaten a lot of patties in the city and the frozen Golden Crust brand I get at the supermarket when the mood strikes me are probably what's usually sitting in the little rotating heater at a bodega. They are very good. The seasoning is the same and I'd guess 90% of corner stores are selling reheated Golden Crust if they don't have a retired Jamaican grandma on tap to make her own. 75% of the time I still think Golden Crust is better. That beef seasoning is type dope.

i live in nyc the best patty i have had is in brooklyn and buff patty myrtle ave order the curry chicken patty.

He needs to go to Kingston tropical bakery on 226th street and Whitplains road in the Bronx. It's a mom and pop Jamaican bakery and they make the patties fresh every day WITH THE COCOBREAD!!!!

I've been on a tear with those Golden Krust patties over the past couple weeks. The chicken one is better than the beef in my opinion. It has an amazing curry flavor. The veggie variety is also very good. They're frozen and probably not very authentic, but I like chinese take out, as well. It just tastes good.

Jamaican Patties are one of my favorite things to eat. We've got this place called Lloyd's run by husband and wife here and they make some delicious food on top of being super friendly and obviously giving a big shit about what they do. Just remember to get that Coco bread. Mmm!
