    My son works for a builder as a warranty rep, he is dealing with a house where the drain line under the slab sunk in the middle causing a belly and flushing issues out the wazoo, it took a long time for them to figure it out with a camera scope. Plumber did a bad job somehow.

    I poured some water directly into the bowl & it didn't go down well, but when I took the toilet up & poured water directly down the floor drain then it went down no problem. I also snaked the toilet with an auger & checked the hole underneath the toilet for any obstruction and all was clear. But when I put the toilet back on & poured water directly into the bowl it didn't go down fast. I don't know what this could be. I have an old Kohler model?

    Great info ! For reason #4 if something is stuck, can this be solved by running snake through? Thanks

    • @pro-techairconditioningplu1051
      @pro-techairconditioningplu1051  2 роки тому +2

      It's possible. But a snake may not be able to push it through. It also may push it down and the item can get stuck further down the line. We've had times when a snake didn't work and we had to remove the toilet.

      I've snaked and augured multiple tomes, and I'm thinking it's a toothbrush or pumis stone. So I'm at home depot to get a wax ring...wish me luck, out of options....

    It can be a combination of these too. Maybe someone flushes something that's not supposed to be there and it gets stuck in the trap and maybe the toilet is old too.

      My two toilets are brand new and they clog a lot. I'm thinking there are better toilets on the market and thinking of replacing them again. I have a Toto and a Kohler. Some of my tenants use a lot of toilet paper though so maybe a better toilet would do a better job of flushing. I bought a battery powered blaster for $100 but I don't like that it splashes dirty water all over the place.

    I flushed disinfectant wipes last week after cleaning my bathroom floors and now I have clogs every other flush. I did the water method of flushing warm water and liquid dishwasher down to help. I raised water level which helped for a few flushes but it still clogs easily with just liquid nothing inside. I used plunger and nothing comes up anymore. What can I do?

  • @meganwilson2742
    @meganwilson2742 Рік тому

    So dumping the bucket of water with flushing the handle or without? And if this action makes the toilet flush properly. Then you are saying the toilet likely needs to be replaced? I have a 40-year-old toilet, yes I know it's old but I'm interested to know how the bucket flush indicates the toilet being at fault and not the plumbing being at fault. Maybe it means that gravity and all the plumbing is functional and the internal components of the porcelain tank are now just built up with too much sediment or something like that?

  • @TheAngryFapper

    One of our roommates clogged the toilet with tampons and turds only go down if you flush 5 times and it takes a few minutes for the water to go down each time. We kicked her out but the homeowner doesnt wanna fix it because "it flushes just fine just flush more" but also complains about the water bill. Thinking about fixing it myself but idk what to do, seems like the clog is in the toilet pipe going down itsself

  • @randomite
    @randomite 2 роки тому +1

    Will a new toilet fix the problem? Per your list and the bucket test, it’s more likely my kids put something in it, it clogs very frequently and many times for no obvious reason.

    • @pro-techairconditioningplu1051
      @pro-techairconditioningplu1051  2 роки тому

      It's not a guarantee that it will fix it. The only way to know for sure is to have an experienced plumber diagnose the issue. There might be something stuck in the trap and if that's the case, then yes, replacing the toilet should fix the problem. A plumber could camera the toilet and see if something is stuck in there or go further down the pipes and see if something else might be stuck further down the line.

    Question - Toilet in my apartment constantly clogs. It clogs immediately at the first bend; Ive borescoped it and thats where it jams at. Unfortunately my borescope only goes THAT far before I have to pull it out, I cant snake it past the first bend for some reason. Pulled the toilet, snaked the drain, snaked the toilet. Nobody observed anything on the other side of the toilet...that I am aware of. About 8 months ago when I first moved in, I cleaned the ever loving shit out of the tank. It had a wall of mildew just about a 1/4" thick, and a lot of sediment in the bottom of the tank. I cleaned most of it out, but Im adamant the toilet needs to be replaced. Landlord thinks the toilet is fine...yet it constantly clogs on me. What should I do to convince them to replace the toilet???

      The same thing keeps happening at my apartment in a "luxury" apartment complex. The maintenance man used a snake and all this hard, black sediment was almost sealing up the whole pipe. They had to break it up with the snake, but after a month, it was clogging once again. I've used Dawn dish soap & hot water, vinegar, expensive plungers, etc. It is the toilet, but the complex is too cheap to replace it. The first step is gathering documentation that maintenance has done everything to resolve it. After that, you need to write a formal letter and mail it certified to the landlord/management office. In this letter, you need to give them a week to remedy the problem, or however long it is depending on what state you're in. By law, they have to come up with a solution, or the landlord will be in violation of their own lease! Do the research and write that certified letter!

    Please help. Aren't toilet is somehow flooding underneath the floor and we've had a plumber come in who couldn't figure out the problem. We can't use the toilet out of fear of having to pay for damages again. Even with her insurance it cost us $8,000 to replace and clean up and it's still happening. My twins don't even have carpeting in there nursery because we're worried it'll happen again. It floods under the floor damaging the hallway, the bathroom floor, the basement and their nursery. The main reason we bought this house was because it had a 2nd bathroom but now we cant even use it and everyone (even guests) have to use the bathroom in our bedroom.

    My toilet clogs everytime my son craps in it 😖 he’s 18 and won’t learn! He refuses to flush half way through a poop and he’s in there forever. It’s an oval toilet and the plungers don’t fit in/over the hole. It’s a new toilet too and it clogs like crazy and isn’t supposed to. I need to call the company

    Eventually the water freaks will mandate 1/2 gallon or less consumption on toilets. Some people use more TP than others and all that TP gets stuck in the toilets self trap. That paper in the trap absorbs most the water in the bowl and the next person who uses the toilet if doesn’t notice is in for a clog soon as they flush.

    RON,
    My 3 year old mfg home has a bathroom at each end of the
    building. The discharge line to the septic tank is located in
    the middle of the building 1/2 way bewix the 2 bathrooms.
    The master is great. Never have had a problem. But that
    %$@#)%@(^!! 2nd bath the toilet is constantly clogging. We
    followed all your suggestions but what I think is the idiot
    who plumbed the 2nd bath used a 90 where he should not
    have OR used under sized piping/fittings.

    Just my dump clogs my toilet! Happens when im bulking. Ya know, the gym and eating alot. Even for a while after I slow down on food, just massive dumps. No toilet paper needed! Not sure how to resolve my problem exactly. They really do need bodybuilder toilets. I will also not use flushable wipes anymore. This is only a thing that happens when Im really healthy. Its a sign of good health for me when I can clog a normal toilet without toilet paper. Theres been other toilets its happened with so it most likely not my toilet having an issue. Usually a few flushes and itl flush all the way finally. K, time for the paper. ROund 4.. lol
