I this video I give an overview of the multi-FX module from Happy Nerding, FX Aid. - Навчання та стиль
Top review and demo, just ordered mine because of this. What I really appreciate is that you put things in a very musical context, so viewers can actually get a very clear picture of what the module is doing and how it does sound. No use for overcomplicated blippitybloopkrzchj noise loops where you don´t know whether it´s the dry or the wet signal you´re listening too :D So a big thumbs up and keep doing these things. Also loved the chainsaw demo you did, instant order.
Thank you! Yes exactly the reasons why I chose the material I did.
Sold. I didn’t know about this before, now I know I need it!
Fantastic demo, best yet of this module!
So good to hear these fx being tested with sounds that really show the detail of what they do, rather than just random bleeps and bloops! Thanks so much :)
Yes, that's exactly what I was going for.
Amazing demo, really well made! Thanks a lot for sharing!
This is really good demo!
This thing sounds incredible
Thanks for showing off this module! It’s grt,,
Amazing FX quality
You just sold some guys FX Aid. (I bought it). Thank you for the fantastic demo
This was super helpful for me, thank you!
I love your samples choice ! The demo is amazing, I just ordered one piece after seen this. Thank you!!
That sounds glorious.
Cool sounds!
Very nice, thank you!
Excellent demo! 🙂
Ambient machine numero uno! They should totally add sound previews for each effect in the web app
thanks for the info boss!!!
Thank you
It's also worth a mention that this thing is built like a mil spec tank. The pots look and feel REALLY expensive, and the construction is insane. The maker must be an anal retentive nut job. And I mean that as the best compliment possible ;-) I figure between this and my Magneto I can do without another $500 Make Noise module :-)
Sounds so good, and just 4 HP. this is amazing. the sounds you are playing from 10m and 15 sec. do you have a song version of it?. i could listen to that for hours.
Sorry, I don’t.
nice! there are some LUSH sounds in here!
6:03 nice detail!
😉
Love the demo. What artist are you playing at 6:00? P.S. I just ordered the module based on this video. Thanks for sharing.
Hey! It's a sample from Noiiz/Samplephonics, they have a few packs from Javier Barrios, I got these samples from one of them but I'm not sure which.
Great Demo. What Voltage do you have to feed in to reduce the Sample Rate? 0 to +5V or 0 to +10V?
I don't remember but I think 0 to 10
Hey great demo! A lot of the effects on the fxaid seems to be mono in/stereo out but in this video you seem to be running stereo in. Do you know how it behaves when receiving a stereo signal for the mono in effects?
That's a good question, and worth asking on the Modwiggler forum where the designer can chime in. I don't know if it's true stereo or not.
Who is that signing Wild Mountain Thyme at 0:00. Sounds unbelievable!
Iona Leigh Celtic Vocals. Absolutely beautiful. Got it from noiiz.com
What VCO/sequencer are you feeding it? Sounds great! 👍🏻
I'm sorry I just don't remember anymore. There's a good chance it's a VST
Anyone into the downsampling stuff should check out the tiptop zverb and echoz.. They have a dedicated knob and cv for the internal clockspeed. Also spin based, and sound a bit more organic to me (maybe because they are internally clocked with an analog vco). However this also sounds amazing and has cv over the mix which is really useful. Plus stereo in.. So now I'm torn.. Do you know if it's true stereo through or does it sum to mono like most?
Yeah that's a good question, I never tested it to see if it's mono sum. This is a really nice set and forget module for me, but the Tiptop stuff looks a bit more hands on with dedicated controls.
9:47 which fx algorythm is this? Blackhole or shimmer or something else?
@ 9:50 can you please explain how to downsample step by step?....from arturia mod out to cv on the fx or?....some setup for the fx or just as it is ?
I don't remember for certain now, but if you send an offset into one of the inputs it will downsample the effect. Very simple to set up.
Shpongle @ 5:54 :)
Nice demo! What can you say about the noise floor? is it quiet? I have an endorphins milky way which is an awesome effect module but it sadly adds a lot of noise...thinking about switching to this after watching your video.
same here. would also be interested about the noisefloor
nice demoo, bro how you connect tai-4 to your pc audio interface?
XLR to 1/4" jack cables
how many input sound sources can you use with FX Aid and how many FX at one time can you use? I am looking for an FX module that can let me run multiple FX in parallel against different input sources.
Hmm I'm not sure this will do that. It has multi effects but I don't think it has parallel processing like that.
What's your sound source? The pc? No oscillators?
Most from my pc
Where is the “blooming heather” acapella from?
I just added it to the description
can you use reverb and delay at the same time?
Yeah you can check the effects page, there's some combo modes!
@@AiynZahevSounds bought it already (y)
Can you use this as a standalone effects processor for a guitar?
It’s a euro rack module so as long as it’s plugged into a case and has power, and you have input/output yeah. But I’d check out something like an eventide H9 first.
@@AiynZahevSounds Thank you
This is Spin-based, right? The reverbs sound quite nice. Delays with no clock sync capability are kinda non-starters imo. But I love that this has a web app that lets you customize the type of fx it houses. That's pretty much perfect for picky scrooges like me. What's the digital bit resolution and sample rate? 16/48k?
Ryan Dean Spin based. It does have a clock sync delay. I can’t remember the resolution but I think it was 48k. I love the web app too, makes it infinitely more useful in the long run. I think it generally sounds great too and the sample rate adjustment broadens it’s reach into lofi and mangling.
I think you have sold an FX AID
Almost all the reverbs are mono in. Kinda ruins it for me.
