Having driven a vintage car myself as a daily driver for a while, I really learned what kind of stuff "peeves" owners of unconventional vehicles.
Classic case of "if you want to hide it, paint it red". Sometimes, when something so odd is so out in the open, the mind says "that must belong there, just ignore it" and BOOM meter maids pass it again and again before stopping to check.

Wow, toxic. Public employees like this just follow procedures. They aren’t paid to think. Her procedure starts with “look for a VIN”. Anyone with a general adult level of knowledge and common sense should be able to discern this without much difficulty.

Simple trick to avoid ever having to pay parking tickets: Register your car out of state. They can't impound you until you have 6 delinquent tickets. Once you get 6 tickets just re-register your car in a differnt state and then all those tickets don't show up in their system because it's attached to that registration. Just switch your registration back and forth between Nevada and Arizona. Rise up and fight the corruption! .
Or just feed the meter and park where you're supposed to

Untill 3 or 4 years ago we had the same thing in the EU. Other than putting in an extradition request (which obviously no EU member state would oblige if it only concerned a minor violation) there was no way for EU member states to verify the personal details and address of the citizen of another EU country, and thus make sure the fine correctly makes it to that person's home address. If you were caught red handed by a police officer as a visiting foreigner then they would occasionally demand you pay up on the spot or else be placed in jail untill you paid up (they knew very well that if they didn't do that then the fine would never be paid), but not all countries had such policies, and in the case of traffic camera's that still wasn't an option. Unfortunately these days no matter which country you catch a fine in, if that country happens to be an EU member and you're an EU citizen as well then you're guaranteed to receive the ticket, and although they still can't force you to pay it once you're back home, they are now at least able to access your personal details and address, and if you don't pay the fine then you better not go back to that country or else face the consequences....

When people randomly touch cars and lean on them to take a picture i genuinely get pissed off. Don't go to someone else's car lean on it and touch it. Its one of those things that pisses me of for a unreasonable reason.
CRUCIAL Trust me, it pisses the owners off too. I drive a 1969 mustang fastback as a daily driver. Never too far away from the house though. When people lean on it or put their dirty hands on it, I’d like to kill them, especially when it’s just after I’ve washed and waxed it BY HAND. That’s the only way I clean my car, and it takes HOURS!

One time this woman leaned over the hood of the car to take a picture, and god damn did that man flip. You couldn't blame him. Grabbing someone's car is like holding an extremely old vase in the air. Something could happen to it anytime, it isn't yours, so why mess with it?
