Here before episode 6 is out, and I've got to say. This trailer does not show how simply amazing and well written the actual show is. The trailer isn't bad, but by god, the show is actually amazing.
Yep ...A show about an ordinary family that live in a million pound house, where every member of the family is part of a minority group... tick diversity boxes will you BBC so much so it detracts from the story, oh which of course is liberally anti trump / farage it's sickening..and that ending, so weak ...BUT ... the music was good...

Trailer is interesting and yet somehow does a huge disservice to the show. It's so much better than this trailer makes it look.
But trailer does his job. It convinces to watch the series, I just watched first episode and I'm shook!
I would watch it only for Emma Thompson because judging by the trailer, it looks like just another soap opera to me.

Couldn`t sleep last night, so I watched the entire thing. It`s brilliant. Beautiful and scary at the same time. Best show I`ve seen in a long time. It`s very moving.
This is soooo underated. Cant believe I missed this. Such an incredible, realistic mimic of us now and in the future.

@Scrotus Maximus Actually if you base it on the percentage of white citizens (UK about 87%) the main cast is actually over represented in terms of non white actors. So how about quitting the racist bullshit and saying something worth listening to! FYI I'm classing the main cast as the fifteen people who appear in more than one episode, in which case for it to statistically fit it should be one person not two principals, and two secondary characters. (One non white adult, two mixed race young adult children, and the mixed race little trans kid.)
This show is amazing. I don't understand why people compare it with Black Mirror. This show is taking us through changes while Black Mirror states that we're already there. Although I don't support fully the ideology behind this show, I think the whole plot is magnificent.

Years and years is one of the best shows, i cried for like an hour at the finale
This is one of the most important pieces of art in this decade.
The fact that this wasn't nominated for an Emmy is proof the Academy is rigged and trash.

@sparkyinbath the creator of the show actually made some good points about why they decided to off Danny instead of Viktor and it made a lot of sense. You should look it up.
@sparkyinbath yeah, that was strange. But I found it intriguing that this ordinary family from London saved the world. Also, the writers had been setting that up since the beginning so it kind of just fit into place.
I do think, had they been planning to make more season of the show, that things would have taken a different route. But because that was the finale, it had to be big.

The montages of the world spiralling out of control are the most terrifying thing for me the combination of the music and the sense of inevitability is bone chilling.

Anything Russell T Davis make's is brilliant and Thrill taking. I miss him with Doctor Who but i'm happy he is expanding his brilliancy onto other show's. As long as he stick's to what he is good at by making us jump out of our seat's Russell made Doctor Who 2005-2008 Era an amazing time i am so greatful i was born in 1999 to experience that.

A season 2 would be nice, but is hard to imagine how it could be done. Maybe, they do an alternate timeline, updated with real-world events from 2019-23 including COVID and Ukraine, or they go further into the future, beyond 2034?

This Is Us meets Black Mirror and gives birth to this little piece of TV perfection. HBO surely was ready to keep their subscribers after the ending of Game of Thrones. Chernobyl and Years & Years are definitely the best shows of 2019.

Loved this series. It was absolutely amazing, The last episode surpassed my expectations. It reminded me of the last episode of Six Feet Under. Very auspicious attempt to deal with death, consciousness, and the afterlife, I was sorry to see it. end as I had become attached to the characters.

Russell Tovey is back on my TV... that is the whole reason to see this series by BBC.
2 episodes in and this show is stressing me out and fearing what the future could actually hold for us. Brilliant storytelling! Everyone is gawking about Chernobyl (in my personal opinion....overrated) but I find this much more fascinating.
