Glad you have been back more consistently.
Good to be back!

Wow, mine is on the way. This is awesome. I can't wait to try this. Thanks for laser videos.
Sure thing, Derek!
Cheers
From what i've read in the Norton Den of Lasers group, the settings you use for doing canvas, should be the same when you do it on tile. I know there are people who run it much faster, which would require higher power. That way it won't take as long to burn.
Yeah running canvas is similar to the NWTPB method
Cheers
I want a lazer! I have a Mazlow CNC I'm currently starting to build the sled. It can cut a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood... more Punishers? Good fun.
Trying this now. If you haven't yet thought about it I'd recommend a z adjuster. I have the same machine and hated those dual thumb screws.
Definitely on the list! LOL
Cheers
@@BuildDadBuild turned out pretty good but the paint peeled when I washed it gently
What did you do to seal them after the they were engraved?
Do you have any problems with paint wrinkling when you apply clear coat?
No
Thanks Nick i have an atomstack s20 but i dont know what parameters use to achieve this :/ greetings from México
Gotta run a speed and power grid to determine the best settings for your machine.
Hey Nick. Did you ever try engraving a photo on a slate coaster? I have an OLM3 and tried it but did not get the right setting after many attempt with different settings. I'd appreciate any advise. Thanks.
imag-r has an awesome UA-cam channel that details this!
I have. I can help!
LM 2 Pro SF -white tile - coat of red - dry - coat of black dry - burnt test file - no red all black - scrub scrub - still black - faint red 8 & 9 - what did I do wrong. Geez seemed like a no brainer - Im not having such great luck at all... any ideas? THX
Try playing with the amount of paint you're putting on. You just need a light coat.
Im considering buying a laser engraver to cut eva foam for cosplay stuff… do you prefer the Ortur or the xtool d1? Any help is appreciated. Of course now i wanna try all the other cool stuff you do.
Hey Mike!
Hands down the xTool is my favorite diode laser!
Cheers
Any idea for a good range of power for the D1 10 watt. When I do the test grid the color coat comes out gummy and tacky......
If it's gummy and tacky you either used way too much paint or didn't wait long enough for it to dry.
Cheers
love your videos
Thank you!

Hoah Whiskey!
they make transparent "candy" finish paint. Make a black and white and spray transparent red after.
Interesting. Who is "they" and where do they sell it?
@@BuildDadBuild home depot in the spray paint, krylon sea glass, stained glass, other brands too...
Can udo these on the xtool?
Yessir
What’s the best software for the ortur?
Lightburn👍
@@BuildDadBuild You’re the man nick
Why so slow if your just burning the paint off am I missing something just new to this
It’s a 5W laser
@@BuildDadBuild that makes air more sense then I have a 30w and mine would destroy that so slow
Nail polish is looking rough dude!
I know, right?!?!
Cheers
Way to go with the nails. Keep it up. However, your daughter needs to do them. She does them better
Yes I agree
Cheers
What did you do to seal them after the they were engraved?
I just use a spray clear coat.
