    I totally agree with Dr. Fung about weight loss being mainly food not exercise. Exercise is great for heart health and toning. Great information! I'd like to try to eat Breakfast a bit later, but I don't feel good about skipping any of the 3 meals. But I could definitely use skipping my snacks.

    Crying at this video. Deafblind and was just diagnosed with Disbetes in Oct. Struggling with the lows. Such an emotional roller coaster. I needed to hear this today. So much of how i've been feeling is not being able to accept myself as this new person with the loss. I had an Aha that I need to give myself permission to accept myself as this new person. Just grieving the loss of the "old me." I want my old energy back! I just need to let it go...

      It's hard to accept. It took me finding a video with just the right message to turn it all around. I was literally on the edge, miserable and unable to function. Mo Gawdat saved me from myself. I was torturing myself with "would've, should've, could've, what if and why me". I wish you all the best and sending you lots of love.

    I can't fast. My surger goes up. Type 1 diabetic. Doctor up my night insulin.hope that helps. He happy im doing keto. But I've got to count total carbs. I will get the hang of this.love watch you. So much in common. I was 49 when I found out I have type 1 diabetes.

      I'm also a type 1. I do 24 hour fasts to know where my long acting insulin should be. During fasting if my sugars go up then I know I need to up my long acting. If my sugars go down then I know I need to lower my long acting. Fasting is an awesome tool.

    Thank you so very much for ALL of your content!!! I also had gastric bypass in 2010. Unlike your experience, mine came with zero complications and I lost over 200 pounds. HOWEVER, when people ask me about it I tell them that my experience is NOT the norm and to do there own research. I of course am dealing with some regain and find your information SO VERY HELPFUL and from a person who lives the information they are sharing everyday!!! I can't wait to deep dive into these videos you shared in today's video. I can't express enough to you how grateful I am for your channel and all of the information you share!     Kristi, this is by far your best video. I admittedly have not YET watched either video but I definitely am going to. I am familiar with Dr Jason but have never heard of the other channel. Thank you for sharing some very vulnerable details of your journey. I am proud of you. Just know you are helping others more than you could possibly know by being so open & honest with your journey.     Ironically, I stumbled on the Mo Gawdat video earlier this week. Excellent interview. Very similar theory to what Dr. Wayne Dyer taught in the 80's. I've followed that logic on happiness ever since. Don’t know what Dr Dyer is teaching these days, so don’t shoot the messenger.
    Haven’t watched Dr Fung's interview yet. Guess I better get to it. Have a blessed weekend!

      Dr Jason Fung reversed my hubs diabetes type 2. Diagnosis came in 2018. Went keto and fasted. Lost 60 pounds and has kept it off. He’s now not diabetic (the doc was amazed!) and dr removed the diagnosis from his chart. Never took insulin. Dr Fung is a rockstar. :)

    Intermittent fasting hard to strat but such a game changer. Also i get it. February 28 2020 i lost my mom in the morning and found my son dead in his apartment that evening. For the next few months God was against me and my suffering was intolerable. Until early one morning my son came to me in a waking dream. He was crying uncontrollably. He told me his pain was from watching me not live. From that day on i don't wallow. Not gonna lie i grieve as soon as my eyes open and i realize they aren't with me...then i get out of bed and live my day to the fullest. It's a choice everyday and i choose to be happy. For myself, for the loved ones who have passed, for my family and friends that are still with me and continue to pour their love on me. Sorry this is a bit long. Loving these videos

    I’ve been doing IF for months. But I don’t force it. I eat very low carb. Near carnivore (it’s just what works for me). If I am hungry in the morning and the hunger feeling isn’t fleeting, I eat. But usually with something to drink and about 5 min I’m not actually hungry.
    On a side note I got the cherry freeze prime hydration drink and it’s soooooooo good. Not zero carb so I won’t drink a whole bottle at once. But since it isn’t carbonated it won’t go to waste if I do half at a time. ❤

    I watched the video after you mentioned it recently. It was good and it all makes perfect sense. I dont count calories. I am a bypass person... I do make sure I meet a certain protein goal, healthy fats goal and keep my total carbs low and whatever the calories end up being, then that is what they are. But it is usually around 1500. I do think I developed reactive hypoglycemia... when I would eat too many carbs without protein, sugar went up then crashed down to 60... I have only had 2 of those episodes since cleaning up my diet and being low carb a month ago. But I am wondering if I would be able to fast I am worried my sugar will get low..but I guess the only way to find out is try it. Do you have a carb count you stay under daily and do you believe that if you go over that amount a day or two... it completely messes everything up and it is like starting all over when you go back down on the carbs? I can't imagine eating under 30g of carbs perfectly all the time. the old atkins way of low carb was that if you went over 25 g of carbs, you messed up the progress of fat burning and you were back to square one.

    I understand completely… my life was turned upside down in the same way when I was diagnosed with MS Life is hard and treats us hard, and I found myself wanting my old life back daily, but decided my life is what I make of it! Acceptance is the first step, and changing your life to adjust to the new normal is hard, but that’s what I HAD TO DO! Not only for myself, but for my family! I still have days 8 years in, but most days are better than it was in the beginning! I’m glad you’re being able to accept and adjust. ❤️

    Question: I was watching Dr. Westman talking about people with stomach surgery often need to return to their doctor for iron infusions because of the way their bodies now process iron (absorption). Do you have to do that? If not, does your low carb lifestyle help with that? (I have a cousin that had a stomach shrinking surgery years ago and had multiple health issues afterwards, and still suffers today. I’m thinking that the way her body no longer absorbs the nutrients she needs is behind some of her issues). Kudos! on your sobriety. Girlfriend, you inspire! ❤ I love Dr. Fung. He was the first doctor I watched on UA-cam. He has a great way of explaining things!

    Was looking through your videos and saw the peanuts and pepsi. I am way over 50 and we would ride the horses to the corner store when I was young to pick up coke and peanuts and mix them. I am a coastal southern gal.😂

    I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in November of 2015, I purchased the Obesity Code in December of 2017. I felt so bad from my type 2 diabetes and all the meds i was given for every health issue I had, it made me so I couldn’t concentrate and stay awake to read the book. If I would have, I may have gotten my life back under control a few years sooner. I started keto and intermittent fasting on May 10, 2019. I jumped straight into 20 net carbs or less and fasting 23 hours a day from the typical SAD diet. I did have a little keto flu symptoms, then started using electrolyte drops. I did very strict keto with no grains, bad oils wheat, even cut out caffeine for about a year and half. Then I reintroduced coffee into my diet. I lost about 60 lbs and got off all 22 pills a day.
