A masterpiece of English humour, with a good deal of wit and effort mixed in to ensure a quality end product (even if that ironically happens to be a mass of angry peasants). This is nothing short of art.
Was waiting for a good while for this video, and it exceeded all expectations I could have had about it. Totally worth the wait. I love especially the twists within it (to challenge yourself with using only villagers, show the difficulties you had to make this video and integrating it within the narrative of the video, the flashback into "Barrivendos'" memories, etc). Great stuff! Gonna love rewatching this
I play the game on windows 10 and I never crash on vanilla, just with mods occasionally. For better performance you can get the DX7 DLL and replace the dll in the directory, run Rome as administrator, disable AA in the preferences file, and run in windows 7 or xp compatibility mode. I’ve been playing Rome since I was in 2nd grade, I’ve had to do everything to get it to run correctly. Europa Barbarorum 1.3 on Alex is the best though!

Saw this video in my suggestions, and I'm very glad I watched it! I played the hell out of RTW and although I never assembled the peasant army, I often thought of what could be if I had. Now I know, and that part of my mind can finally be at peace. Loved the story, loved the jokes, loved the personal touches. You just got a sub mister!
Playing on Windows 8, crashes very rarely for no reason. Bad fps constantly and game freezing when alt-tabbing now and then. Only known major problems I've had with the game
I had problem with crashes. I cant remember the exact fix, but i know i had to run in compatibility mode. I didnt move to any extra folders, but i did find the fix on steam. Sorry unhelpful ass comment.
And so was medieval to shogun. Point is that Medieval II was huge improvement. Really all this game is lacking is proper AI in fights. Maybe it's just me but I go back to Medieval II with joy. Earlier games on the other hand... not really. They're really old and you can see that :/

this game somehow still out does every single total war installment that came after, it truly gave the feeling of freedom, you could make army's of anything and play as anyone and still win. not to mention siege battles in the later game just became disappointing.
Flanking is so insanely effective in this game because of how the individuals can get attacked from the side while attacking. In later games it's all 1v1 stuff
