Zimbabwe didn't exist before 1980. That land was fought over since the middle ages. Rhodesia was formed in 1889 and turned into a wonderful country with a very bright future. More and more africans were being educated to move up in society, until the Communist rebels showed up and stole all the land and slaughtered 100's of thousands of people. Mugabe ran it into the ground and today it's one of the top 5 poorest in the world.
