I just found your channel and I find you so inspiring. I'm not a soap maker, more of just an artist I guess. I just love watching soap makers, because not only are you teaching us science, but you are showing us works of art. These were beautiful. I can't wait to watch your other videos. Keep 'em coming! Much love from the PNW!
It is always such a pleasure to watch you create; I love how you think on your feet and go with your inspiration. And the soap is beau as always. 🧼🍁🍂❤️
I love the fact that you used color in your brown soap. I've been looking through videos like a crazy person trying to find someone that uses colors in their brown soap. Everyone else just tried to use black, or brown, or just color the unfragranced portion. Great video!
Jut what I needed on this washed out cold day, a video from you! I love the soap, the textures are lovely. Best part was watching you stamp the soaps & they were all different colours, wonderful!
You did great! I love this creation. Amazed at your knowledge of colors and how smart you are! Thank you for always teaching us and sharing recipes, time, energy. :-)
Absolutely love this fall soap just love the colours in it,love how you did the layers and yes it looks like sweaters when the bars had been cut .Thank you for sharing 😊xx
Omg!! I love watching you! I have been dabbling in soap making for about a year now. I have found so many things from you that have inspired me to pick my Shea butter back up and put it to some good use ❤ thank you!
Few fragrances does not have vanillin. But after being curious, I did a lot of research in why a non vanillin soap would turn brown. I found that some fragrances are made with E-vanillin (Ethyl Vanillin), which turns soap from a tan to brown. Some suppliers are now showing e-vanillin percentages as well vanillin %s, for us. Always good to know for planning. These are beautiful Fall soap bars. Cheets 👍🤗💕
Wow!! Love your soaps .you have to have alot of patience to do what you do. Thank you so much for sharing your videos with us. I'm so scared to work with lye but you make it seem easy 😮😊beautiful fall colors
I'm new to my soap making journey, so I feel this is too advanced for me, BUT I am certain that I can keep this idea in my back pocket to try for next season!! 😂😊
Hello Ruth Ellen, I’m new at this and it’s becoming a passion. Your channel is at the top of my list ! My problem, for now , is lye! 😩 do you have a video that shows howto make it and all about it? Hi Ellen, can you tell me why me oat hand lotion is Separating, I make sure that I stir it very well, and it seems to be thick enough. I absolutely love it. Thank you so much maybe I’m doing some little thing wrong.
Hello beautiful. I'd love to know if you would be interested in making a video showing how to exactly calculate the layers, to show how much lye solution is needed for each layer? I so want to make a layered soap but struggle with figurong ut out.

I meant to say...... "A few fragrances turn brown despite not having vanillin.". Typing on this teeny pad is not easy. 😏
Good to know❣️

My Sencor blender is from amazon, but is currently unavailable...

My wires are set at 1.25” spaced.
I think those layers are so cool ! Im curious how much buttermilk you added and if it effects the lye amount
I added about 2 heaping Tbs of the milk powder. It does not effect the lye, just makes for a creamy lather.
@@EllenRuthSoap Thank you so much, your so great!
I roll like you. I separate into equal parts with lye solution separate as well and only mix one at a time. ❤
It's the "low stress" way to go😉💗
@EllenRuthSoap I agree. Now if I can just be patient enough in between the layer prep, I'll get better at it.
Beautiful +! Where can I get that mold? I now have 6 1 lb molds that I ordered as 2lbs, and would like a 3lb mold? Help?❤
My mold is from Workshop Heritage
Hi Ellen, can you tell me why me oat hand lotion is Separating, I make sure that I stir it very well, and it seems to be thick enough. I absolutely love it. Thank you so much maybe I’m doing some little thing wrong.
My first suspicion would be the emulsifying wax??

Yes, I have a video coming next month, where we’ll go step by step on the layers👍
