Ellen, I love all your videos, but I keep coming back to watch this one from time to time. I love the simple elegance of the white on white. And the details you provide (trace level, swirl, when to leave out oats, etc.) are so helpful to me as a fairly new soap maker. I really appreciate your gentle enthusiasm and obvious love of what you do. Thanks for sharing!
Just found your channel after 21 years of soap making -love your manner and your soaping style.❤️ (This soap is gorgeous, BTW) Thanks for giving this old Soap Gal some fresh inspiration!☺️ p.s. Thanks for explaining the difference between saponification and curing of CP soap. I’ve seen so many crazy disputes over this through the years!
I live in Washington state and follow Mrs soap and clay who lives south of me, she puts clay in every soap, used about what you did, I always put clay in my soap as it contributes to bubbles, some people do not agree with that but it does work, I love the soap it is very pretty!
Absolutely Devine soap! Wow it’s just gorgeous! I’m going to have to try for that look myself. You are awesome 🤩. I wanted to say about the clay, I’ve seen some other soap makers put 2 Tablespoons per lb of oils so I tried it and you do have to add more water to compensate but I’ve found it to really help with lather and more importantly it doesn’t sting my so so sensitive skin! Almost all soaps I’ve tried and bought have not been mild enough for my poor skin but the high amount of kaolin clay really takes care of that issue for me. Just wanted to share that in case you ever want to give it a try. Water is 2.4:1 water to lye. I love clay soaps!
Ellen I have to admit I was skeptical on how this soap was going look but IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm the type that loves colors so I didn't think I was going to like the look of this, that it was going to be bland but it's not!!! It's a beautiful soap. The white and off white really makes this soap so elegant and classy. And I love the pearls on top. It's just beautiful Ellen.
Absolutely love watching your videos and I do try many of your recipes. I have learned a lot from watching you and the inspiration from your products. THANK YOU!!!
Those are beautiful!!! Love how the swirls showed up. I learned a way when I get stumped. I put a word or maybe 2 on line under Thesaurus or compatible words. Usually, I get a great choice of names to pick from. I love clay heavy soaps. I do them every once in a while to go along with soap theme. Such an awesome soap! Cheers and Blessings 👍💕
How did I miss this video?! It turned out GORGEOUS!!! I’ve been a follower of yours for years and this is soap is the most beautiful one you’ve ever made. I’m in love, lol.
@@EllenRuthSoap thank YOU! Your videos are such an inspiration, make me want to try doing something creative myself. Sometimes I just watch them to relax or to make me company while I do other stuff.
Everything you do is beautiful. This soap reminds me of when i go for a walk after a big snow. The world is so quite and so beautiful, it's one of my favorite things. The sprinkles you used, will they discolor over time? I am not good at embeds and they are so pretty, I would love to be able to use them on my soaps.
Just beautiful ✨🌹✨You’ve inspired me to make a white soap myself using some different special ingredients. Thank you for this wonderful video. Happy Holidays ✨🧼✨
This soap is so beautiful Ellen..it looks and soundz Wedding to me ..LacenNet PearlsnSatin .but Ive never lived in Snow so ...what do I know..Your soaps are Extraordinary!
Binge watching your wonderful videos- I did not know you are down sizing- so I will rephrase the “make more” too…..you are incredibly talented and creative -love your ideas, good job!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a beautiful soap 😮! I love it 😊. I was wondering if you could tell me how to measure titanium dioxide? I have a 4 oz bottle and I want to make a 4.5 lb loaf of soap all white, do I use 2 teaspoons of dioxide per pound and how much water? Thanks 😊.
@@steelersgirl071961 it could be any measurement you like if you add 1 oz TD, then mix it with 2 oz water... Then you have a pre-mixed solution to use.
This would make an awesome wedding shower guest thank-you gift or a wedding guest favor. It is so pretty

Glad you shared that about thenames. I have to have my grown kids and grandkids smell everything and help me come up with names. I'm so bad at it!
Glad I'm not the only one🤣
I love it. I accidentally hit 'dislike' at first and changed it to 'like'; disregard that. This soap is GREAT!
Thank you so much❄️🤍
4:32 it will!!
Absolutely lovely. Simple and elegant! DO you mix your TD with Water or Oil?
Thanks💕 I use water soluble TD
Muy hermoso, mi pregunta es como tapas un jabón que tiene flores encima?
These flowers were still under the edge, so the lid fit on. You can also use a box for a taller cover option.
Hallo liebe Ellen! 🤗
I love love love this! Thank you! Was there lard in this batch? Sorry I don't see anywhere that you listed your oils
Thanks! No, this formula doesn't have lard in it.
Thanks! No, this formula doesn't have lard in it.
Beautiful! May I ask how you prepare your TD in the squeeze bottle?
1 part T.D. to 2 parts water👍
Es sieht aus wie Marmor sehr edel❤
Please make more- this has sold out 😍
Binge watching your wonderful videos- I did not know you are down sizing- so I will rephrase the “make more” too…..you are incredibly talented and creative -love your ideas, good job!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I mix 1 part TD with 2 parts water, and add about 1 tsp-tbls per lb of batter.
@@EllenRuthSoap
So, would the 2 parts be ounces or what?
@@steelersgirl071961 it could be any measurement you like if you add 1 oz TD, then mix it with 2 oz water... Then you have a pre-mixed solution to use.
Hey ellen! What do you mix the TD with before pouring it in ?
My TD is water soluble
Do you prefer to warm your oils on the stove or in the microwave? And if the latter, how do you not overheat it?
I do use a microwave to melt my hard oils, I do it in short bursts.
