That was an interesting tune. Great guitar work as expected, I like how they kind of did something creative, unexpected. I will check out more of this band.
Kanade Sato was rated as one of the top 10 rated drummers, in the world, when she was 14. I saw her play live in London in 2019, at a Japanese metal music festival, in a band now called Muses. She has her own YT channel www.youtube.com/@KanadeSato/videos in which she mainly does jazz covers, as jazz is very popular in Japan, and good to play in competitions. The singer, Kotono, started off as a dancer. She was a back up dancer for Babymetal in 2018, she then joined Iron-Bunny, as a singer dancer.
The drummer here Kanade Sato also plays with The Jazz/fusion band Muses. you will learn that in Japan alot of the female musicians are more like session players, they can play any genre. It can get confusing at times but Japan really is the land of the side projects.
@@grandad.reacts Fun fact: Both girls are endorsed by Ibanez. Hazuki uses a Ibanez Rg8527z J.Custom 7-String. And Li-Sa uses a RG series...With Seymour Duncan pickups.
Thanks for this! Glad you liked it 👀 I just watched the full Blu-ray, which includes this track and it is an eclectic mix of songs to say the least! I am hoping that this song is a pointer for where they as a band might be heading - yes, the track is short and the ending is "interesting"... I wish it was about twice as long, but it's so good. Currently Koiai don't have a permanent bassist and this track definitely doesn't have a demanding bass line, but Wakazeomon is incredible! She's also a workaholic, but I sure wish she was a permanent member of Koiai. Right now, all I listen to is female Japanese metal - it's so good! 🤘🎸🐺
The more I hear this incredible song, the more I am blown away. Yep Li-Sa-X is the best “Eastern explosion” Guitarist imho (Coached by Paul Gilbert a few years ago) so there is a big Ibanez connection there. I noticed that neo-classical solo towards the end of the song is referenced by the very first time the piano is herd at the start. Kanade Sato is brilliant too as is Hazuki.
Most Japanese bands use backing tracks for keyboards and other instrumentation beyond drums, guitars, and bass (although GACHARIC SPIN have a full time keyboardist and up until recently so did FATE GEAR)... Since almost every girl in Japan learns piano at a young age, it is likely someone in the band; Kanami and Saki of BAND-MAID are often credited for playing the piano parts on some of their songs and MINA of FATE GEAR composes all the music and plays almost every instrument on the albums these days (all other members at this point are support players, except for drummer Haruka Mori; before Haruka joined Mina would also program the drum tracks, and I believe that was only on the first album when it was just Mina and vocalist Nico)
The bass player can play blinding stuff, but in this case , chooses wisely , NOT to. Yes about band. Please see Come See Me, Grammy standard work. But gatekeepers will probably not let them thru as they will make most other, so called talented acts, look like crap.

Li-sa-X's guitar work gives you goosebumps!

Wow.Talent 100%.
I have quite an Ibanez collection myself. My first thought after hearing this song: "I need to go practice".
Yes, Im the same.

Yep. It’s either “I need to go practice” or “I give up!” 😂😂
Waka-san needs to be a permanent fixture, even though EOE is on their 1st tour. Kanade doing "no look" solid, hard drumming, very impressive.

Who's playing piano/keyboards? It's not shown in this video . . . .
No idea, all new to me.
@@grandad.reacts It' a backing track .
