I think KOIAI is the kind of band Kanade will thrive in. She has the solid background in drum fundamentals but also a crap-ton of virtuosity to draw from.
Reminds me to the dico-swing of earlier days. Like it very well. It needs courage to play a sound like this today. It's more jazz and swing than it's almost populare today. My opinion.
I wish Kanade from NEK! was a bit older.. I think she’d fit perfectly with this group.

While I appreciate your reactions, I actually disagree with your statement that Koiai should find a singular sound with which to identify. Their ability to play so many different styles so well is one of the absolute best traits of theirs.
Perhaps a not so great analogy would be a symphony orchestra that only plays Beethoven or Mozart. After a while it might sound a little too much the same.
Then there is The Beatles who had a huge variety of styles. The voices were the same but the music was not necessarily the same.
Variety is the spice of life and Koiai is tremendous at that.

I think Kazuma is Lisa X's younger brother.
Koiai has the most potential of all the bands in Japan if they drop the pop and get the right lady on bass. This song is like watching someone drive a Ferrari at 25 mph. A New Picture is where their future lies.
Nah, gotta change the wannabe K-pop singer if they want world wide recognition… The band is sensational, but covers get you nowhere 🤷🏽♂️

You obviously have no idea who Kanade Sato is. But you have quite a big mouth.
At around forty-six seconds into my video (below) I filmed a few seconds of Kanade doing some impressive drumming at a rehearsal in London, where she played there with Rie Tomimatsu (aka: Rie aka Suzuku), Marie Fukui and Juna Serita. Later in the video (at about seven minutes and forty-two minutes), we were all walking around the British Museum for awhile. At this point- 2019, this particular band (now known as 'Muses') were doing an instrumental sort of combination of heavy rock and fusion. But yes, KOIAI could be a little less 'pop'. I think that could be due to a management decision or something.

Drummer Kanade has shown his talent since he was young and has been recognized, but I don't think he has been able to do much work that allows him to demonstrate his ability and taste beyond his demo performances.
A few years ago, I formed a piano trio and I had the impression that we were able to play quite freely at that time, but the trio's activities did not last long.
Since she is past the age of being a ``genius drumming girl,'' I sincerely hope that she will find a place where she can show off her talent as a single drummer without being a catchphrase.
