Yup. Most underrated player of his generation. Steve Larmer should also be in. Those are my picks as the two guys most deserving to be in the HOF who aren't there. Maybe some day.
I am a lifer Devils fan since day one in September 82 in the heart of Philadelphia. I have seen my Devils go from the laughing stock to a franchise much more successful than the flyers and with true hockey legends....there are not any flyers in the same universe as Martin Brodeur, Scott Stevens, Scott Niedermeyer, Patrick Elias and now Jack HUGHES....same can be said with the Rangers history. I have declared in my heart and very educated hockey mind Aside from the Devils, I grew up in love with the game because of the two teams I fell in love with first and still support them and the two younger developmental for the CSKA RED ARMY MOSCOW and the Russian National team (formerly CCCP). Now there are at least 8 Russian players that should already be in the HOF, but are not. Patty Elias was a 3 zone player He was not just all about points....he was a great defensive forward as well. If he was not scoring he was then contributing in different areas of the game He won two Stanley Cups. I have to double check he may have a gold medal from the 98 Olympic Czech team He overcame a very serious disease that could have taken his life. Great hockey I Q, unselfish, a champion in every sense of the word. Because injury he did not finish how he wanted. Honestly a few more goals in the 2012 playoffs and the Devil's could have added another cup. Elias should beca HHOF member. However with fellow Devil Alexander Mogilny NOT in the HOF then how can Patty? Boris Mikhailov, Vladimir Krutov, Alexei KASTONOV, the 3 most underrated Russian forwards of all time: Slava Bykov, Valery KAMENSKY, Alexander Maltsev...Before 1970 Firsov, Mayorov, Bobrov as a player. Think about it .. ALEXANDER MOGILNY ...took his life in his hands defecting......and the game of Hockey should be forever grateful. It was a dream of mine any Russian becoming a Devi. Many trough stereotypes wondered aloud....how could he fit in the Devils system? Alex showed what already many knew..HE BACKCHECKED...he was a great defensive forward when called to be and he matured as a player. Yet he is not in the HHOF. DEVILS LEGEND CLAUDE LEMIEUX NOT IN THE HHOF. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? John Vanbiesbrouck is not in the HHOF. The 96 Panthers had no business being in the Finals. Devils who should be in THE HHOF: ELIAS, MOGILNY, CLAUDE LEMIEUX AND JOHN VANBIESBROUCK
@1:09 his greatest goal, with 1:40 something left in 3rd GM7 2000 ECF..THE GWG 2-1 and completing the greatest series comeback in Devil's history beating Boucher. Next series his AMAZING assist GM6 @Dallas feeding Jason Arnott Cup GWG.

Larmer is a good pick. I’d still have Mogilny before him though.
@@18laxXdamn I forgot Mogilny isn't in. Yeah I'd say Elias, Mogilny and Larmer are great picks for HoF
Of course he is. One of the most underrated of all time
He should get in, he hit the 1,000 points scoring benchmark while playing some time in the dead puck era.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
and in a defensive team
@@Oxmosh 2 lockouts and getting sick didn't help either.

Anyone who says no is a casual

All you have to do is compare his numbers with the Sedin’s. That’s overall and per game.
Absolutely. Can’t believe he’s not in already.
Big YES for me
Of course he should. If players like Mats Sundin and Dino Ciccarelli are in, then he should be in too, and I’m not even a Devils fan
I love when he hugs NJ our mascot
damn right he should!
Same year Elias and MOGILNY and if Rogie Vachon is in there then so to should John Vanbiesbrouck be
Yes
Was shocked when Alfie got in over him
Put him in
No, not a hall of famer, Mogilny, Roenick, Theo Fluery, Keith Thachuk all have better stats but not in hall of fame.
Devils system limited his point potential.
Uhh yeah
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great argument emoji boy. Maybe when your nuts drop, little boy, you will learn how to write.
