I'm a stay at home mom with little background in appliances, whose husband has physical disabilities, so this helped so much in teaching me to fix my noisy dryer. It runs like a dream now. Thank you!
Same here with an electric version. I just went to my local parts shop and gave them the model number and received a repair kit. I too struggled a bit to get the triangle clips on but managed. Also installing the new belt was a little difficult as it tended to flip so a second pair of hands with that would of helped.
I was going to make this repair and showed my mom your video- she was hesitate because you ran out of breath:D Great video thanks for the education! thumbs up!!
Really good step by step and great explanations of what you are looking for as you go and even how to put it all back together!! (Many how to videos just tell you to "put it back together!") Appreciate the details that you present from start to finish! 😃 Giving it a shot!!
I found out what the tiny tabs are on all 3 sides of the triangular plastic clips. Once you get 2 sides on, using needle-nose pliers makes it easier, you grab the tiny plastic tab on the 3rd side and gently pull up, it then goes right on. I also thought about putting masking tape around the first groove in the pins. That way the clip should slip right over it with ease. Thanks for making the video !
Me an my father just replaced our support rollers an belt for Kenmore series 500 very similar very helpful !! Thank you for this suppeeerr helpful step by step video, much appreciated !
Thanks for this video, I found it really helpful. Step by step was on target. Good tip to use a magnetic drill to unscrew and screw in the screws. You don't want to lose those (especially when putting the dryer back together!!). The thing I (and most people from what I can tell) found to be the biggest struggle was putting the front panel back on. I recommend getting someone else to hold up the drum then attach one side then the other. Thanks again!
Be sure to use gloves or use caution when taking apart as edges of panels are super sharp. *Speaking from experience 😂 Great video though definitely helps a lot of people!
Very good video. Just a couple tips. WD 40 on a cloth does great job cleaning shafts .the shafts can accumulate a sheen of burnt rubber from wheels. Great point you made to vacuum out unit and while you’re at it clean or replace dryer vent. #1 cause house fire. Last is take the time to be sure belt not twisted and channel side it flat on from and drive pulley. A twist in belt doesn’t always self correct and belt can get stuck slipping on the drive wheel. Great video
Very helpful video, thanks man! Luckily ours just had something lodged in between the front panel and drum, but with your video I felt totally prepared (same model) lol. I would recommend beginners use gloves, those parts are sharp.
You don't always have to replace the rollers. I just vacuumed out the inside of the dryer, removed and cleaned the rollers, added some graphite powder, and reinstalled and dryer is very quiet again.
Thank you for at least showing us why and the noise it was making before doing the repairs. Most videos. Say hey, look at me replace this. And then we are left wondering what the noise was.

The belt is definitely the hardest part of this whole rebuild.

Oh yeah those punched metal panels are sharp. Thanks for watching!
I agree, I cut my thumb removing the front panel accidentally, so sharp that it bleed for awhile.

This helped a ton! Thank you!
Welcome!
Thank you
Welcome
Do you trun off the gas
You can but don’t have to unless you need to work in the valve in the dryer or pull it out further than the gas hose allows
What’s the end of cycle signal sound like this dryer
I don’t believe there is one now that you mention it. That might be worth me looking into. Normally the older dryers had a buzzer.
Chat gpt sent me here !
No way! That’s amazing
Anybody know where to get the shaft from? I can’t find this model number online
Check Amazon maybe. There are parts breakdowns if you google the dryer model number
Nice job !!
Thanks!
Excelente Job

Where I can buy the roller
You can get from sears parts direct or Amazon. Just need the model number of the dryer
Do these need any kind of lubricant?
Nope the bushing is oil impregnated bronze I believe
@@theguyofalltrades good ol ampco. Thank you sir for the quick response. Subscribed.
perfect vid, thanks
Thank for watching!
So I did all of this new rollers new everything and it still makes noise
Is everything lined up good? Sometimes the drum can be off a little bit of your felt gasket is worn
Thanks
Welcome! Hope it helped!

Welcome!
Thanks man

Thanks brohan good video
Welcome thanks for watching!
What’s your dryer model number?
Type: DWJR-NAT-1206006-FM22
Also has a mod number of 110.71402311
Surprised that you didn't lubricate the roller shaft before reassembling.
Don’t need to but if you’d like to definitely do not use oil. A dry graphite spray would be ideal

True. Did you see the rollers in the video though. Smoked
Nice thank you 😅

Awesome
Having a hard time reinstalling the front panel
It’s tricky you have to make sure the hooks are engaged. I definitely cussed it into place lol
Mine is good, just needs to replace the belt and done
Should be pretty straightforward then. Hope the video helps
why didnt you run it so we can here the problem maybe we can relate to it??
Sounds like a rock tumbler. Metallic noises. If yours is broken you’ll know
He did let us hear it at the beginning of the video. Would have been a good idea to listen at the beginning
@@byrdathletics8354thanks for the backup lol
those triangle washers are a pain to deal with
You know it lol
Thanks for the part number. Very helpful. This video helped me do the job.
