    I’ve just fitted these on my chimney, you’re lucky I had 2 sockets to cut round 😂

    We bought our panels from our local area for £70 each and they are like 2.7m long.
    Will be installing it over the weekend.

    Do you have to nail it to the wall? Or glue is enough? Thanks!

    • @mrfxr1695
      @mrfxr1695  Рік тому

      Glue supplied had got a decent grip and it was enough in this case, I've cut panels tight between skirting and ceiling, so it was wedged. Also, the wall was perfectly flat.

      What if you want to remove them? Reposition or similar.. Better to screw the to wall@@mrfxr1695

      @clementrantlhwathlwa6229, what about when you come to remove or relocate. Won't that damage the wall underneath. Wouldn't screws be a better option so you can fill them in.

      I have screwed it because I know my wife will change her mind at some point then I will have to remove it and repair damage to the wall . A few screw holes is much easier to fill .

    Get the longer panels for high ceilings so you don't need to patch the tops , it never looks right , at the joins ( unless you have very low standards )

    Would these help for recording vocals at home. Fo they actually work to reduce sound

    • @mrfxr1695
      @mrfxr1695  Рік тому +1

      I'm not sure, I've never done research on that subject with these panels. They might help, since back board is felt fibre and slats have gaps between them, so plenty of surface to break sound waves and to absorb

    Did they panels stay installed well without using screws or nails? I would prefer to not have visible screw heads.

    • @mrfxr1695
      @mrfxr1695  Рік тому +4

      They did. Wall was perfectly flat and supplied glue is very grippy. Also I've cut the panels tight between skirting and ceiling, so they've been wedged. If wall is not very flat I would put one or two screws per panel up high in-between the slats and paint the heads black so there can't be seen
