- Martin (John Mahoney) accidentally Eats a POT BROWNIE Intended for Niles (David Hyde Pierce) with Hilarious Consequences! Very Funny Scene from FRASIER (1993-2004)

"That was a pot brownie, you're stoned off your ass!"
One of the funniest lines ever on this show. It always makes me bust a gut.
The worried look on Martin's face is also great.
I just wonder how potent the brownie was. I mean Martin is a drinker, so I imagine he'd have at least SOME constitution, not to mention his days as a cop, where I imagine he stopped some drug rings. That shit was so laced with green, it could qualify as a black market shoe company
@@game84cube This is exactly what happens to someone the first time they get high. If you're not someone who regularly imbibes marijuana, you have a natural buildup of certain hormones in your brain, which when the marijuana hits all release at once and cause you to get stoned to high heaven.
Hahahaha
@@robertgronewold3326 I think like a stoner without even using marijuana (I’m afraid it will give me mercury poisoning) I’ve even been told I talk like a stoner.
The way Kelsey Grammar says "You're stoned off your ass" gets me every time.
One of those lines that live in my brain forever just because of how well-delivered it is.
The son scolding the dad, it's hysterical.
😂😂😂😂😂
I love how Martin at the end just accepts that Eddie talks to him and he sounds like Fraiser!! ROFL
My favorite part! LOL
I know what you're doin'! You're sitting there thinking you're THE KING, well you're not! 😆
This is one of Martin Crane's finest moments. Rest in Peace.
Martin's laughing at the very beginning has already sold me.
I think "I've come dangerously close to overbraising my chard " might be my favourite line in any sitcom ever
That was the most rebellious thing I've ever seen or heard of a human being doing! 😱
That was some great acting from John. Martin seemed totally genuine with his highdeas, and his shock that Eddie could talk.
#DogArmy
@@SpeedyEric1 lol, dog army. About as rational as his idea of letting everyone be a giant for a day. 😆
@@SpeedyEric1 There's a movie called Dog Soldiers, it's about werewolves.
@@SpeedyEric1 Someone should draw Martin sending forth his army of Eddies, as in a manga.
@@blackcitroenlove get Jim’ll paint it on it!
Oh my god the look on his face when he thought Eddie was talking 😂
"Oh, suit yourself Eddie."
Man, these farces were always so exquisitely written. So many layers to it, all intertwining for payoffs that hit on multiple levels.
I just love Martin's expressions, so exaggerated. He was a wonderful actor.
I had a reason "fridge pants" best line ever
I prefer "dog army."
BBQ pudding chips.
@@joncarroll2040 Yum yum!
I was going to quote the exact line hahaha love it! "I had a good reason (pulls out piece of paper) fridge pants!" 😆 LOVE IT !!! And the way he stairs at the TV 👏👏👏
Ihave tried it its not bad and fries dipped in hot fudge LOL no I am not and never have been preggo I saw the fries thing on saved by the bell Beldings Wife was craving them when she was pregnant LOL I thought sounds interesting LOL@@joncarroll2040
“Why am I dumping these chips in this pudding? I should be dumping the pudding in with the chips!” Is a running joke between me and my mom to this day
My dad and I will randomly mention 'Dog Army' to each other. haha
My family and I still use "Oh what ever shall we serve the Dutchess" another Martin Crane-ism.
How John got through at least one take with a straight face while giving the giant speech, I'll never know.
There was once a retrospective special that aired after the 200th episode of the show, where the main cast of the show was interviewed on the set by Bob Costas. When asked who screws up the most, everyone turns towards John Mahoney, to which he says "What are you all looking at me for?" It then proceeded to show a few of his bloopers.😁
Always loved that apartment. Even years later, the design is so unique and timeless to me.
That's actually a condominium.
I'd LOVE to live in Frasier's place. Perfect balance of comfort and style.
Oh me too
Probably the best and nicest looking condo on a sitcom.
Yup.. Who cares what kind of apartment it is 🙄
The "go straight " question is deep on so many levels😂
Marty's laugh is infectious
Suit yourself Eddy 😂😂😂
They should let everybody be a giant for a day 🤣🤣🤣
Anytime Frasier raises his voice you know you're in for some quality comedy!
Martin's laugh in the beginning kills me everytime.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Let's not forget his roaring laughter in "The Matchmaker" 😂
@@dnasty312I gotta watch that one now! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Frasier is so comforting; this show is like a hug.
This is the scene that we all will remember John Mahoney for pure bliss R.I.P. Dad
I was an ASTRONAUT. WTF...
It was really sad because I read about how David Mahoney was really excited about the talk of a Frasier reboot. 😟
He was an unusual man. There were rumors that he was gay, and that's why he never married or had kids. I guess he was just born to a different generation and stayed in the closet. People closest to him would have known, but amazingly, to my knowledge, nobody has come forward who knew him or as being one of his gay or straight partners in his 77 years.

there WAS once a group called "Dog Police" ack in the 80s
@@SpeedyEric1 Yum yum! Not!!
I like fridge pants better! Nice idea for hot summer days!!!lol hahaha
It's so funny, u can see David Hyde pierce is trying to keep from losing it!
3:02, Martin is still staring at Eddie, thinking that he's still talking; even tho Frasier is standing right there! 😎
"I know what you're doing! You're sitting there thinking you're the KING, well you're NOT!"
The funniest thing about this episode was Niles acting like he's high when he was actually completely sober hahhaha
Yes.......................that's the joke...................
It was a placebo for him
"I'm particularly looking forward to a phase called The Munchies..."
@@skwisgarskwigelf7191 You’d think he would’ve noticed the moment he refused to eat the pudding chips.
Well to be fair to Niles he had been drinking Sherrie I think . So he's not really sober fully and he's skin and bones alcohol would make him sloshed
I always loved how Martin decorated the apartment at Christmas. I wish my dad did that when I was a kid.
I'm 35, and I'd do this every Christmas since I was a kid.
Me too. I try to do my house like that too. It’s so happy and cheerful. Some people think it’s tacky but I don’t care lol
@@emmsmom1848 My wife and I do this too.
After that scene, Niles is feeling unworthy of being a rebel. Then Frasier says 'Well, you did get our Father stoned " 😂.
I love the bit where he thinks Eddie is talking.
"Sweet mother!"
The lets go for a walk ad and Martins reaction to it kills me every time.
Lmao I lose it when the commercial comes on.
Sweet motherrr!
That bad CGI Eddie always gets me
@@cloudstrife1983 "Eddie?" 😧
You mean "the spot"
One of my all time favorite Frasiers. Fridge pants!
Dude Marty is a genius. It’s funny when you watch this, but when you’re high if you watch this, he is SPOT ON
*John
Martin is so darn adorable! I love his character so much!
Martin is always one of the highlights
I don't know what is funnier Martin Being high or Niles thinking he is high!
Both
Agreed!😂
I have been a fan of this show for 18 years and never has any scene made me laugh as hard as this one. Maybe in any show I've watched. Also I tried pudding bbq chips; seriously give it a shot.
John Mahoney will be sorely missed in the reboot 😢 RIP Mr. Mahoney
What reboot? Lol.
@@kendallrivers1119 It's coming out in October. No one else came back except Peri Gilpin.
@@xxwhispersxx2856I know I was being facetious because there's no way I'm watching without the whole cast and when John died I knew that it fell apart right there.
This has to be in my top 10 Fraiser moments for sure
He was a super!!!!! actor!!! Just great and funny!! Loved him!! 👍😆🐶
"You taste that and tell me that's not better than a woman" 😂 John Mahoney was brilliant, dearly missed.
Best sitcom ever.
One of the best episodes
Probably one of the most hilarious episode. I love stoned Marty!
Brilliant writers, brilliant actors, that’s what made this comedy series the best on television!❤
Definitely one of the most hilarious episodes ever!! 😂
When a 90s sitcom has better “talking dog” animation than the Lady and the Tramp remake.
2:18 such a brilliant and hilarious payoff to the setup of Frasier’s weird commercial earlier in the episode
This always kills me, especially because it reminds me of the first time I accidentally got high 😂 I was crying over how delicious my bag of onion rings was, and was terrified of the opening to The Cleveland Show.
Such a great episode, RIP John 💖
I have no idea what to comment on first because this scene is just pure genius 😂😂😂 every little bit is just perfect
The BEST 5 minutes of that series. Hysterical still !!!!
Idk what I laughed harder at: Niles taking the TINIEST piece off the brownie, and acting like he was high as a kite, and Martin ate the 'actual' brownie and saw Eddie talking with Frasiers voice!!! OMG,,,
I love how when asked where his pants are, Martin says “In the fridge,” as if it were so obvious. Where else would they be, right?
Keep em' nice and fresh!
Where else would fridge pants be? 🥴
Really wonderful show....I miss this family!!
Such a well written show! Haha
I love Frasier, its the funniest show ever!!
Two words: "Fridge pants".
Thanks for uploading this! RIP John Mahoney
"OMG....that was a pot brownie. Your stoned off your a##"😄
"Where are your pants, Dad?"
"In the fridge"
"I had a reason........'fridge pants!'"
🤣🤣🤣
Dad when you at the cafe today, you didn't eat a brownie that Roz brought for Niles did you?
John Mahoney really wasn't that old. He was 53 when Fraser started and sadly died 77 when he died.
Dad, where are your pants?
I had a reason... fridge pants
It's cracks me up when Martin turns on the add and thinks Eddie talks 😂
2:17
"Martin: Eddie?
Frasier: I know what you're doing! You're sitting there thinking you're the king! Well, you're not!"
(Martin turns and sees Eddie sitting on the floor, staring - and apparently speaking - at him.)"
lol
NILES!
I love the look on Niles face at 1:44 when Martin puts the pudding into the bag of chips.
'Have you ever thought about going straight?' Why do I get the feeling David Hyde Pierce was not expecting that?
0:00, Martin Crane’s Laughter Slays Me!
Remember his roaring laughter in *The Matchmaker?*
My all time favorite scene from Frasier
That was such a perfect line at the end lol. I love this show so much.
That credits scene where Frasier opens the door to a pizza delivery guy with a big stack of pizzas and Martin runs up, takes the pizzas, and without paying runs back to his room just as fast leaving Frasier to pay 🤣🤣
"Fridge pants 👖" 😂
Always loved this episode! All of the Christmas episodes where that posh apartment looks like Santa threw up all over it😂
Barbecue pudding chips 😂😂😂
tell me it's not better than a woman
It's not never
I wonder how many tried.
This is one of my all-time favorite Frasier episodes.
*where are your pants?
"In the fridge!' Like...where else?! 🤣
The best show ever.
Dog army. Fridge Pants. All brilliant ideas!
Martin and Roz were my favorite. This episode was hilarious 😆
“Ohh suit yourself Eddie!” 😂😂😂
I love how frasiers this great psychiatrist but can't see what's going on right in front of him!
I think it's his intense narcisism that prevents him from realizing intitially.
He didn't see anything till he came back from his date.
@@Eightsixseven23224
Frasier is not narcissistic!
I know what your doing, your sitting there thinking your the king, well your not!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Barbeque pudding chips...priceless.
The "suit yourself, Eddie" line kills me every time. Brilliant!
Im a huge Frasier fan!!! Love it
Haha basically Martin became Mitch Hedberg 😂👌
I've watched this show for years and I've never seen this episode. Hilarious 😀
Plus the trousers in the fridge : D
“You taste that! and tell me that’s not better than a woman.”
Martin Crane at his most amusing. 😄😄😄
Acurrate highness lol
They skip this episode in the UK and it's depressing
Why 😨 Good thing you can stream it, download it
That's weird. I'm guessing it's because of the watershed 🤔 not like people acting off their face is not seen on the tv.
Daphne wouldn’t be able to watch this in her home country
That's probably why I have never seen it.
It was definitely shown back in 1999/2000-ish, I had it on video
The first time i seen this i was high as hell myself and the first 16 second of Martin Laughing none stop had me dying in laughter 😂😂😂
Juliano Perez did you enjoy barbecue pudding chips too?
@@mr.l8723 who doesn't!
Poor dad you didn’t have time to tell them it only works with chocolate pudding ,his generation was so innocent. It was adorable 🥰😘❤️🇲🇨
Hilarious seeing his dog on the tv 🤣🤣
This dynamic is so brilliant!
"Dog Army?" - That plus the facial expression is some strong George Carlin energy.
Something I always love about Frasier, especially rewatching my favorite episodes like this one, is how there’s always that moment where the live audience completely loses it and you hear that one person who laughs louder than everyone else like at 3:51 to 3:58. Nowadays you’d just get an annoying as hell Dan Schneider laugh track. This show used the audience laughter right.
This exactly. The reboot has horrible canned laughter.
@@40kanonThey recorded the revival in front of real people, they've been to the tapings.
@@cornparade6874But dont you see how bad that is if "real people" sound like canned laughs? That just means that they have to use laugh tracks because the live audience isn't laughing much or not in the right places.
Why do I wanna try lucky charms with Ice cream?
For the same reason Doctor Who fans want to try fish fingers and custard because someone on TV did it
Funniest scene in the whole series!
So many scenes involving weed in TV and movies are so wide of the mark & written by a person who has not experienced being high once in their life but this was written, directed & acted 100% in the know - the only potential criticism is the "dull my motor skills" line as weed anhances them!
Hi Niles....funny you should say that!
And the stage is set! Genious.
One of my favorite episodes of the series.
