I am going to add cocking something up to my slang.
literally my wife every time. I normally wash the dishes but on the rare occasion she does it she always puts the food processor back with handle at 5 oclock even though I've told her three hundred times it needs to be at 7oclock because it only snaps in with a counterclockwise twist from 7 to 6.
Nothing serious, he just wazzed it up ;p
Ha ha, my father used to clean peppers like that, I learned it from him. That pepper salad looks fabulous. I am going to try it if not the whole dish.

Jamie, I am so happy I found this recipe. My then boyfriend, now husband and I had visited the Jamie Italian on the London Bridge in 2018. I have been since trying to see the components of this delicious dish. The only difference was that since it was getting cooler, the lamb was served I think on a celeriac purée. I have never had such good lamb. Thank you Jamie. I’m going to try enclosing a photo of the dish as well.

Great looking recipe, but I still have no clue how they braised/slow-roasted the lamb? Isn't that supposed to be the point of the dish?

I don't know why but all his recipes on youtube are always bomb! I have tried over half of them, and most of them are a hit with my family. BUT every single time that i've visited Jamie's, I've always regretted it.. I repeat, never, i mean never should you walk into a Jamie's Kitchen just because its near you. You will always regret it.. Pastas, pizzas, desserts, EVEN the drinks were a shame... Tasted like cheap cordial. I don't have a single good memory in that restaurant.

There's nothing quite like the home cook trying to replicate a dish, that a celebrity cooks on a 15Kw stove, while trying to do so on a 2-3Kw stove. It just isn't going to work and it will end in tears.

Holy crap, how much labor and time goes into this dish. I imagine you'd have to make some pretty big batches, especially for the peperonata. That's cool, but wonder how easy it is to reproduce in the restaurant

I never said that was more important than his cooking. Actually I think he's one of the few, if not the only, non-italian cook who can cook italian. I pointed it out just because I thought that maybe he learnt a wrong word and it wouldn't be unreasonable for him to want to correct himself. That's all...
He's just your average british who can't pronounce anything foreign.
