    Very nice! I did Black Bear Pass on my old 990R with ex on the back, we got caught up there after dark in the mist/fog. Was sketchy, but we made it through. Black Bear was a one-time deal for me. Great video

    Wow. I was clenching watching you on that last part. Good stuff.

    That was intense just watching it, and at your speeds it seemed like that was your daily commute... with one exception (at a fork) you looked like you knew every turn.
    The uphill looked sketchy, but the downhill on the other side was nutz!
    I know the action cams don't accurately represent the actual steepness and grade of the slopes, but even flattened out I could tell this was serious climbing and descending.
    I watched some real riding skills there - thanks for sharing!

    Nice ride. Hope those SxS got the ticket they deserved. Its a licensed vehicle road from the top down. (the one way part). And, since they can't go back up, I'm sure they got pulled for street riding in Telluride.

      That's great! Make sure to record it for us! I would say just watch your temperature guage. I had overheating issues, and I would lose my rear breaks any time I was pushing the bike over 9,000 feet in elevation. I was up there for 3 days riding and it was consistent. Once I got back to a lower elevation my temperature was fine and I would get my breaks back. If the rear break pedal drops, just keep pumping them and you'll get what you need to stop. Good luck brother!!

      @@adventure0ffroad858 thank you friend… my SAR is a 23 and I think they’ve figured out the cooling issues… I rode Imogene last year , which is 13,000 feet and didn’t have any issues anyways … thanks for the advice! Your video has inspired me!

    • @adventure0ffroad858
      @adventure0ffroad858  Рік тому +3

      Honestly I was having issues with overheating anytime I went over 9,000 feet in elevation.

      No, I always ran that bike on the sport mode, traction control off, and ABS off. Had lots of issues with the bike and traded it in as soon as I got back to Texas, but had a blast in the mountains. I will be going back next summer!

      What issues have you experienced? What was the replacement bike?

    • @adventure0ffroad858
      @adventure0ffroad858  Рік тому

      Anytime I went over 9k feet in elevation it would overheat. I spent lots of time waiting for it to cool down. I would also lose my rear break above 9k feet. At the switchbacks I had to pump the breaks to keep pressure o. The calipers. Ended up with a BMW GS 1250 Adventure. Way happier with it!

    • @stugoon
      @stugoon Рік тому

      I had the rear brake problem on the twisties in the Pyrenees Spain. My brother was on the S version and his rear brake cooked as well. Had to pump them to get pressure.
