    I run 4 sprinklers off of mine. I run a 50 ft hose off of the pump first before reducing down to a garden hose for more volume. Works great on my food plots. I bought my pump at harbor freight in Moberly Mo. great video 👍

    So I thought of the same thing for this summer. Ur video was one of the first to pop up and by far the most simple. Luckily we already have all the materials to get started. Thank you for the help!

    Those trash pumps move a ton of water fast. You should consider a 2” T split at the output so you can run a pair of 3/4” garden hoses to a pair of sprinklers.

    I installed a rainwater harvesting setup but it hasn't rained. Yesterday I bought a Champion pump and enough two-inch hose to keep the rainwater tanks topped off until the rains come. As an added bonus, being many miles from the nearest fire station, I can use the Champion to fight fires if the need arises.

    it would have been smarter if using a garden hose to use the smaller clear water pump, thrash pumps use twice the fuel to do the job and have lower pressure about 40x psi. Thats what i learned. I can turn down an equivalent 2 inch pump and at little over idle it will put out the same pressure.

    I was wondering if you could tell me what exactly you purchased for the reducing from the pump to the garden hose.

    Thank you so much for the video. I wanna use water from my shallow well, but would need more sprinklers at a go. Is that possible?

      1" gas transfer pump can operate 2 to 3 sprinklers if you have big hoses, 2" transfer pump can operate 4 or 5 sprinklers if you make yourself a manifold. never choke the outflow much. take the 2" into a Y splitter 2" then have another Y so that way you have 4 outlets. run 3/4" hoses each line so you have even pressure.

    Gavin, I bought a Predator 212cc pump. In the owners Manuel it says not to use reducers. Have you had any problems doing this?

    Why in the world would you reduce the 2 inch pump down to 5/8 garden hose!! Why would you not just buy the 1 inch pump? I have owned the 1 inch pump for 4 years and pumps great with a garden hose!

      @@mainelyelectric but by the way what's the maximum amount of feet a one inch pump water on flat land

    • @mainelyelectric
      @mainelyelectric 2 роки тому +1

      @@kelvinwaldropt1841 Well on the Harbor freight website the 1 inch pump states that it has a head lift of 95 feet and a suction of 19 feet. The one I own I bought years ago and originally it stated 110 feet but I have not tested how high it will pump but theoretically on flat land you could pump as far as you really wanted too depending on pipe friction and fitting restrictions The further you push the water the less GPM you will get at the end of line. The 1 inch pump at full throttle pumps 35 GPM And about 10 GPM at idle depending on elevation head lift. I believe the maximum pressure of these pumps is somewhere around 50 psi but I have not tested mine in psi. Personally I have never had any issues with my pump and I also own the 2 inch one as well. But I had heard someone say that they had checked the oil one day and it was loaded with water and had said that the pump to engine seal most likely leaked by and failed but like I said personally I have not had any problems with my two pumps and probably most likely the person that had water in their oil put too much back pressure or restriction on the water out flow and caused pressure to build and since it had nowhere to put the extra pressure it blew out their seal. Let me know if you have anymore questions and I will try to answer them the best I can.

    I bought a champion pump off Amazon. Looks like the same pump. I have been told that if you reduce the discharge water from 2 inches you can damage the pump. I ended up getting a mini gun impact sprinkler for this pump. Just need one

    • @ttank1994
      @ttank1994 4 роки тому +4

      I recently read something similar, sounds like bunk to me. If you think about it, it's really no different than pumping water with 80 ft of head on the discharge side, still within the capabilities of the pump according to the manufacturer. The pump head shouldn't care whether the volume reduction and raise in pressure at the discharge is due to a the restriction of a reducer or gravity.
