Did you know that a lake can be deepened using a motor pump?
You can assemble a mini dredger from two motor pumps. One motor pump for dirt and a third motor pump for hydraulic loosening. Bottom sediments are pumped out using a Bagermaster suction nozzle. You can pump up to 12 cubic meters of sand per hour. And up to 6 meters deep

Nice set up. I just got some pumps today. 5 of these exact ones and one of the 3” larger 301cc full trash pumps that puts out about 390gpm. Question for you. How much are you lifting total? Ans have you measured GPM or PSI on the other end? How hard was it to prime the first time? And any issues with PVC? Was PVC more cost effective over hose? Planning to use this to irrigate my land pulling from the river below grade about 50ft down.

The pressure is entirely dependent on the flow rate. If your flow is 390gpm, you're only going to have a couple psi. If your flow is 20gpm, you're going to have about 40psi. It's a continuous curve. Trash pumps are all about moving a large volume of water, they don't have a huge amount of pressure. Pressure is enough to run most sprinklers at 30psi as long as you're alright with less than 50gpm.

I have since replaced this pump with a similar 2" pump with 85 feet of lift. I used 2" PVC over the hose and put in a check valve so it stays primed. Using PVC you just have to remember to pull it when it gets below freezing and blow out all the lines!

Did you consider using ram pumps instead? Not sure how long you’ll be running that small engine every week or if gas expense is even a consideration. Using 2 or 3 ram pumps through some drip irrigation would give your new trees all the moisture they need 24/7 if necessary for free. No gas or solar or electric needed.

If an acre is roughly the size of a football field, that pond likes like it's 1/2-3/4 acre maybe? Or am I missing it with the camera angle? Just curious because I'm looking at te same kind of set up and am trying to judge volume.
