Super cool. Awesome job! I used to silk screen as a child in my afterschool program. Loved it so much. So glad this became a trend and now so accessible. ❤
Before you actually apply the ink to your shirt, you need to lift the screen up an inch or two and pull the ink down the screen in one swoop. This ensures that all of the holes in the screen are wet and ready to go... It's called "flooding the screen". After you lift the screen off of the fabric, after you've done the actual screen print, you need to flip the screen one more time to make sure it stays good and wet until you're ready to clean it. Otherwise the ink dries and good luck getting it out of the screen! (Unless you are using plastisol ink of course. 😉)
It is a good video thank you.But my notice is about edgs I am afraid to be not perfect with vinyl ! is it perfect with putting solution, go to a box of lamps and image is printed directly on screen?
Yes, this is how I've been screenprinting for years! Just be really careful when you rinse out the ink...and don't use hot water as it will dissolve the adhesive and your vinyl will come loose and your stencil will be ruined. And be extra careful with the really small pieces. I love this method! Been good to me for some years now.
I'm a screen printer and this is blasphemy!!!! 😝 I was thinking of trying this method for 1 offs and really small runs. I've heard a debate...vinyl inside on top, or outside on bottom. Pros and cons to both. With water base inks you should get a few shirts. Once you use emulsion a few times, it gets easy and is way more stable then using vinyl...but just for something to do...give it a try :) Cute video!!!
@@jasonenz4238 -- I would imagine the vinyl on the bottom would working better as you're not dragging the ink/blade over it and having any issues with the vinyl peeling. I'm definitely trying this. Super easy.
Aircooled Tech that's where it's debatable. Your dragging ink over the adhesive and apparently the ink gets between the screen and the adhesive, and the vinyl starts lifting...especially the edges of the design. I'll stick with emulsion...I can wash the screen and not hurt the stencil and keep the screen for future prints. It's really not that hard. All the cutting and weeding is gonna take way longer (not counting drying times, which aren't that long) then just coating a screen...for me anyway lol. Small learning curve but if you try it, you'll get better prints :)
i would sometimes pass the transparent tape on my shirt so that it could pick up some of the lint and folicles so it would decrease the glue works so the mask doesnt stay stuck or hard to remove from the transparent mask
I just use silkscreen ordered fro amazon. Super cheap too. I then stretch it over wooden stretcher bars normally used for canvas paintings. These are super cheap as well. Just like stretching a canvas for painting, but using silk screen instead.
OMFG IM SO INSPIRED IT AINT EVEN FUNNY, another question lol. so did you cut out 2 different vinyl stencils one for the black and then the second for the colorful one?
OH MY WORD! I get the "teachers teaching kids the basics" thing. However, as a printer and admin of a Q&A group for beginners with 12,000 members but I sincerely hope that the class ends with "... this isn't really how it's done. This is just a craft method." This questions answered in our group are basically fixing the issues created here. I will admit, I do not know the true nature of this video. Could be a weekend crafter thing or it could be a crafter/art class,. I truly hope it isn't more than that as that would only be a diservice to the students. Also hope there was no charge for this. ;)
Isn't it better for the students to learn a simple technique than to not? Instead of blabbering about how they did it wrong, would you be willing to go to their classroom and teach them for free?

0:32 on the left is too gorgeous!
Great job! Shirt was crisp and clean! Nicely done.
Nice work! Love the jam too
Hey
At 0:25 what size would say that screen is ( the long one )

What type of colours are used
Sooo good!!!
Great idea for emulsion economy on Texts t-shirts with 70t silkscreens
Always good for a couple of shirts. The vinyl method.
Pretty cool!
She’s really cute 😍and the design looks great
good job
Did you use so much tape because you planned to use that stencil many times?
After that they should open a present wrapping service, with all of that practice using so so much tape lol
It is a good video thank you.But my notice is about edgs I am afraid to be not perfect with vinyl ! is it perfect with putting solution, go to a box of lamps and image is printed directly on screen?
Mm i dont know, what are the pros of this method? And what happend when you have to change the color?
How many shirts can u make with that one vinyl stencil
after printing how will we clean the frame
Surya Printers kadaura I just wash it in the sink like dishes. Sticker stays stuck
How many times can you use it wears out? Thanks! Nice video..
Sweet!
This is DOPE!!!!
Wooww..It's cooll man...Nice Job and I like it
so basically this is another alternative other than using emulsion or other screen printing processes?
Bonnie87 yes. Waaay faster too. Vinyl stays stuck to silkscreen even after washing.

What kind of transfer tape is that i tried the clear cricut transfer tape but it wont let the vynle stick to screen too strong
i would sometimes pass the transparent tape on my shirt so that it could pick up some of the lint and folicles so it would decrease the glue works so the mask doesnt stay stuck or hard to remove from the transparent mask
really awesome design
Awesome!!! How many impressions does vinyl support?
Good video, but no talking. How did you get the image???

What is a good brand for a vinyl cutter? One that will last without paying an arm and leg for it?
silhouette is the one I have and it is cheap and good.
Que buen video!
great job!
Gift wrap?? Much bobbles on
How do you set up sleeves ? just like the fronts?
How can you add glitter to the design, or what needs to be done so the glitter won’t fall off?
Thank have glitter inks. If I'm not mistaken
what kind of tape do you use to keep the position of vinyl scatters?
Very nice!
The shirts looked great! I've been wanting to do this for awhile now. What kind of ink did you use? And how did you cure the ink?
Boofy Stuff I use speedball non oil based ink. I use a heat gun to cure ink and dryer at home to set it.
Amazing
The design loooks so crisp and awesome!!!!! Did you guys have to use an special vinyl cutting machine or would it work with a Cricut or silhouette?
we used a silhouette. I wish I had learned this years ago. Holds up to multiple washings in sink too.
I use a sihlouette vinyl cutter.
🕓Thanx
What is the name of that font
im hella about to do this, but what if you have a more complex design? and more detail?
RoseGoldTV as detailed as the vinyl cutter can handle
should work as long as the vinyl cutter will cut it.
What type of screen do you use and where do you get it?

far too much tape !!
Just what i was thinking
Stephan TESSIER yeah that was a bit confusing
which ink do you use??? thanks for you help
I use speedball screen printing ink. NOT the kind that says "water soluble" on the side but it is water based printing ink.
is it sticker vinyl or vinyl used for tshirts?
Alan Anderson sticker vinyl.
thanks Ira
so like the psv? or just get the cheapest vinyl?
Good work
you did the hardway
nice
Hmmm interesting, something that we've never tried before...thanks!!
out standing wow
Why do we need transfer tape
Neelam Thapa to keep the inside pieces, or as we call them, the donut holes where they need to be.
OMFG IM SO INSPIRED IT AINT EVEN FUNNY, another question lol. so did you cut out 2 different vinyl stencils one for the black and then the second for the colorful one?
RoseGoldTV yes. 2 stencils.
