Last year, many people compared Ramon to Urs, claiming that Urs was better. It's a shame that on stage Urs was an absurd distance from Ramon 🤷🏻♂️😂 This year will be no different
He’s going to announce retirement. This is because, although announcing it on stage would be a riding off into the sunset moment, he doesn’t want to take the shine away from the winner (Wes) if he loses.
His retirement announcement before the Olympia would mean the whole show would be mostly about him. Not saying he’s a selfish person, but that would be a cool way to go out too.
I think it would drive more hype towards the Olympia. Nobody will rewatch the his last Olympia. They’ll look at photos and watch UA-cam videos on it. But people will watch it live if he announces it before

There is no better ambassador for Classic Physique and bodybuilding as a whole than Wesley Vissers. He is so articulate and very much approachable. Plus he has a very very much classic body with tremendous conditioning.

I think he's maybe more conservative with his stack than some other guys, hence why it's taken him until age 30 to get his due when CBum is retiring and getting worn down at age 30 with a few notable injuries along the way. Wes also eats super healthy year round. He was a pescatarian for a long time, added in chicken a couple years ago. Very micro nutrient conscious. Also he has a Master's degree in nutrition, I believe.
Wesley is posing in the same room, but at a 90 degree angle, so that the light comes from another direction. That makes him look much more different than he really is.
Would love to see Wesley massively upset everyone's expectations and take the crown from CBum. The industry has been sleeping on Wesley for years. Nonetheless, if CBum wins it would be no surprise to anyone. And, if he retires, Wesley will undoubtedly be the new king.

I think if Cbum retires Wesley is next up unless there’s a huge difference in their conditioning in competition compared to Ramon. Remember the Olympia is put on by a company that makes money on events and magazines, they are going to go for the person who’s going to be the better ambassador on tops of who looks best. Between Wesley and Ramon there’s no question who’d they’d want to be the guy you do a meet and greet or interview with considering the US is their major market, he already has a huge following, hes incredibly charismatic, and he’s fluent in English.

That was one show. The Arnold was one show. We can’t base anything off one show where Ramon was not at his best. We also can’t compare the photos of Ramon and Wesley when they aren’t at the same scale or same lightening.
Bumstead announcing his retirement ahead of time makes sense to me. Would probably be a big money draw for the organization as well since many would want to buy the stream to see him go out. The only other fringe option I could see is that he’s going to be promoting his own shows at some point which I also think would be a great idea.
Last year it was Urs. This year, it's Wesley. This guy always chooses a new mascot to be better than Ramon. And, curiously, this happens with Instagram updates. This guy doesn't watch the videos, where it's obvious that Ramon is better (than on Instagram). When the Olympia comes around, he changes his mind. He changes his mind out of frustration, because they only call Chris and Dino for the competition, and reality hits him in the face. Wesley won the Arnold, that's indisputable. But remember, it was by 1 point. 1 point. It was the best physique of Wesley's life; and a 6-week physique for Ramon. But it was ONLY by 1 point. We Brazilians give the impression of being in love with foreigners, but it's mutual. For some reason, they want a guy who has GROTESQUE flaws in his physique to be better placed than a guy who has a complete physique. To beat the only guy who won a champion's pose. But we are the irrational lovers.

Not taking anything away from Wes but, the update photos it’s different lighting. He has light washing him out in the front in the AC 24 photo and in the Mr O 24 he has sunlight coming in on his right making him look wayyy more cut up.
Wesley looks like Gary Strydom but with a really good back. Strydom's back always seemed to disappear every time he dieted down for a show. Wesley looks goddamn incredible.

I don't see Bumstead announcing on stage suddenly that he is retiring, or anything like that. If he does announce a retirement, it will be 1 year in advance. He will probably announce this within 3 days, or the move to open, which is what we want to see!!

I think it’s kinda a bad move if Chris publicly announces his retirement before the Olympia. They will never place him second then, because politics unfortunately have always played a big role in the Olympia. Would make the competition a little less fair.

That was one show. The Arnold was one show. We can’t base anything off one show where Ramon was not at his best. We also can’t compare the photos of Ramon and Wesley when they aren’t at the same scale or same lightening.

Bumstead announcing his retirement ahead of time makes sense to me. Would probably be a big money draw for the organization as well since many would want to buy the stream to see him go out.
The only other fringe option I could see is that he’s going to be promoting his own shows at some point which I also think would be a great idea.

Last year it was Urs. This year, it's Wesley. This guy always chooses a new mascot to be better than Ramon. And, curiously, this happens with Instagram updates. This guy doesn't watch the videos, where it's obvious that Ramon is better (than on Instagram). When the Olympia comes around, he changes his mind. He changes his mind out of frustration, because they only call Chris and Dino for the competition, and reality hits him in the face. Wesley won the Arnold, that's indisputable. But remember, it was by 1 point. 1 point. It was the best physique of Wesley's life; and a 6-week physique for Ramon. But it was ONLY by 1 point. We Brazilians give the impression of being in love with foreigners, but it's mutual. For some reason, they want a guy who has GROTESQUE flaws in his physique to be better placed than a guy who has a complete physique. To beat the only guy who won a champion's pose. But we are the irrational lovers.
What if this is his last classic competition, and he announces he's going to the open?!!😳

Chris countdown is probably more like something new. New productline, new company perhaps even.
Not taking anything away from Wes but, the update photos it’s different lighting. He has light washing him out in the front in the AC 24 photo and in the Mr O 24 he has sunlight coming in on his right making him look wayyy more cut up.
Wesley looks like Gary Strydom but with a really good back. Strydom's back always seemed to disappear every time he dieted down for a show. Wesley looks goddamn incredible.

could you maby look at mike Sommerfeld. He always placed top 10 at the classic Olympia, but was always a bit outmuscled. However he now put on like 15 Pounds of lean tissue and looks massive. I think he is a guy, that gets often overlooked but has tons of potential.
I don't see Bumstead announcing on stage suddenly that he is retiring, or anything like that. If he does announce a retirement, it will be 1 year in advance. He will probably announce this within 3 days, or the move to open, which is what we want to see!!
