This song is.. interesting. For those of you not familiar, there is a Punjabi Bhangra/pop song that I actually saw long before the internet meme age called "Tunak Tunak Tun" in which the singer clones himself through early chroma keying and sings a catchy riff, sort of an onomatopoeia of how the tumbi instrument sounds. Eventually the track went viral, and its baseline rhythm unforgettable. While working on my all-Zelda tracklist for @vgmcon I actually wanted to pull at least one track from my Indian "fusion/prog" side project and I had nothing for Wind Waker.. Somehow I recognized the same form from Molgera and Tunak, and with the classic Link 4-Swords motif it was absolutely on!
I meant to make videos for this track and quite a number of songs you might have seen me play live/virtually, but I had to put a lot of time into refining the mix, getting those super low drop E guitars clean, and of course figure out how to recreate Daler Mehndi's green-screen setup! I opted to do an Unreal Engine 5 background, the Brass City you might know from another video, and just change my shirt/hat/guitar colors for each Link.. The problem is, Red is quite close to skin complexion, so I had to be very careful as I swapped the guitars and shirt colors so you might see some glitches there!
Nonetheless I am supremely proud of these crossover jokey song, I had so much fun throwing this up on the VGMCon stage and getting in my dance, and with much fewer videos coming out this Fall I hope this one makes you laugh and appreciate the metal all at once!

Said it in the description, I own a Red Abasi 8 string (and a 7 string with Charcoal finish!) so I had to Change Color FX my hat, shirt, and guitar! Trickier with red but you can't green over a green screen either 😊
