You really gotta hand it to Koji Kondo for writing music that is so good, you don't mind hearing it over and over again while looking for rupees and a sword hidden behind the tiniest hole in the wall and a deadly boulder. This music is always an absolute dream to arrange for guitar and to play so I hope it's just as fun listening! Thank you so much for watching! As always, tabs to the full arrangement are available to my Silver Level Supporters on Patreon! Thanks so much for your support!
*calls Saria using song of Saria* Link: “Saria? Are you there?” Saria: “Sorry Link! I can’t hear you over these sick beats! Mido and the boys got the guitars out again!”
I wonder how many people were taking a nice stroll through the woods when they stumbled accross this mad man rocking out on a guitar headbanging to nothing
The best Zelda metal cover that has ever existed, or will ever exist. I could listen to this 100 times a day and not get sick of it. Absolutely incredible work.
Right there with ya. Unfortunately video games lose their magic and wonder when you get older. I hope OoT gets a full remake so my kids can eventually enjoy the game too.
I've never heard a song rock out so much and make me want to headbang, while also sounding so happy and delightful, while also being certifiably packed with nostalgia.
Weirdly enough, I got a little emotional nostalgia listening to this cover. Grew up playing Ocarina of Time. And it's something me and my brother bonded with over the years. I just miss being a kid. You're awesome as always!
of all the videos i watch on youtube jules is the only person ive EVER subscribed to.my main man here has covered my favorite songs from megaman x to zelda.keep up the good work and know its appreciated by so many!
Gotta say FamilyJules your work never ceases to amaze me on how you just absolutely blast a theme out of the water with how great you make it sound! Keep up the good work, always enjoy listening to these covers.
I first played OoT when I was 6 and I had absolutely no interest in entering the Deku Tree until years later, I had plenty of fun running around Kokiri Forest and listening to this music on repeat.
All your content is top notch but the overlay between the rhythm and solo in this one just feels so perfect. Very complementary to each other without drowning either out. Epic work as always!
Every time I hear this it gives such a positive aura to it that one can not help but to just smile and think of the good times of playing the game, takes me back to 98, back in my teens again. Welldone on this one and from the video it looks like you had a blast with this one, I just loved how you went with the rhythm and beats, the way the sounds come out is so perfect, keep up.
Family Jules is on a pleasant stroll through the forest, with his trusty ocarina and guitar slung around his neck and back. He comes across Flute Kid from ALTTP and suggests a duet. The sound is so powerful that it ruptures the space-time continuum and out spills Sheik from OoT, who just happens to have her harp on hand. The *triad* of musicians join in a melody that rocks so hard that the Triforce itself manifests before them. They reach out simultaneously to touch it, and upon contact, all at once, a piece of the Triforce radiates like the sun from the backs of each of their hands. A shockwave blasts outward from the Triforce and all the land rumbles, the sky glows a brilliant bronze, and atop Death Mountain, in the distance, a massive ball of silver light starts spinning, refracting and reflecting the sun's light into specks of color that dance across Hyrule. The three new Heroes of Melody are granted the power to traverse time and space, to sow Harmony wherever they go, to *rock* those in need of a good rocking. Remember to toss a rupee to your local Rocker.
Absolutely amazing! The tappings were just flawless! At 0:53, in the rhythm guitar and bass, I got a vibe similar to CSguitar's cover of this song from like 9 years ago.
Me and my best friend have recently discovered your channel, and we were totally floored by your skill. I'd say it's only been maybe 2 weeks, and I've watched a good chunk of your vids lol. This, and everything else I've seen was fucking awesome man, keep it up ;)
Well done bro! It is good to come back to classics once in a while, because I am a veteran gamer and sometimes do not know some new arranges you made. Peace!
999th like. Hail, Hero of Time! Edit: Your ocarina skills are getting to the point where Family Jules and ocarinas go together like *Jethro Tull* and the *rock flute.*
If I recall correctly, you played either this, or something similar to this during the Colluseum last year during the zelda musical chairs segment? Cool to hear a rock arrangement of ocarina of time music.
Wonder what Jeff Beck would have thought of video game music if he could have had a glimpse into the future back in the 1960s? ;-) Yeah I think of weird stuff like that. ;-)
There needs to be a rerelease of OoT with all FamilyJules music. And yes, I’m aware of Cadence of Hyrule and I loved it to death! 95% due to the music alone.

@@darkcharizard52 outset island has little bits of kokiri forest in it if you listen carefully. So it does make sense.
Yes you do. There are lots of musical nods to Ocarina of Time throughout Wind Waker.
Imagine just seeing some guitar boy rocking out in the middle of a forest.
With at least 1 camera trained on him by some camera person in the forest
"Oh damn I must have stumbled into Norway again"
No
I wonder how Scandinavians feel about always being associated with *Metal?* I bet it feels pretty... metal.
Imagine seeing some flute/recorder/ocarina boy rocking out in the middle of a forest... Oh, wait. That happened. I guess it is fitting. 🤷🏻♂️

You can go see her I don’t think she ever left.

I love this song, I love this game, and I love this cover! The original track is actually my alarm. Makes for a more cheery (link's) awakening.
