Listen, I could never. The idea of decided what my March TBR is going to be in January? You are a queen. I would collapse and be the ruination of all society if I had to do this!
0:55 don't ask us that, English Canada has always had this existential dilemma of whether or not to be exactly like the UK or be exactly like the US
Instead we settled uniquely in the middle! Canadian spelling and naming conventions are unique to Canada, so not striving to be exactly like the US or the UK.
In Germany its actually called Cluedo as well. We just pronounce it differently.
True, it's CluEdo
Clu-eh-doe :D
Same in France ! We pronounce it "CluÉdo
we call it clue here in canada 🙈 sorry to disappoint
so sorry 🍁
Lol, I had no idea it was called Cluedo there until I came across your TBR game. “Ludo” is not well known here in the states. We have a game similar to Ludo called “Sorry”.
I laughed at your cheering crowd bit - because yes, I love the Veronica Speedwell series.
Yeah for A Curious Beginning, I just love the series! And it's funny, I'm watching this on March 12th, which is the release date of book 9, and I'm currently reading it. Hope you enjoy, and good luck with your TBR!
I'm a Canadian speaking both French and English and we say Clue in both ;)
One thing I love about you and your reading, Meg, is that you are open to classics and embrace them if you find yourself enjoying them. That kind of open-mindedness one doesn't find everyday. The mystery field has a good number of great classics.
Yes!!! I love the Veronica Speedwell series! Even if you don't give the first a high rating give the second a chance!
OMGGGGG finally Veronica speedwell!!! I hope you like it!!!
I recommend the audiobooks for the Veronica Speedwell series if you can get them! I feel like they really add to it, in the same way the Lady Hardcastle audios do (which I also love). Veronica Speedwell is one of my favorite series of all time so I am trepidatious in the extreme for you to give them a go, but crossing all my fingers and toes
It’s Cluedo in Australia 🎉
Natural beauty coincidentally is the book I chose for our book club at my work so i was thrilled when I saw it was chosen! So excited!!
Love, love, love this video!!! So many fun book selections! Also I love the look of your shelves, are you doing an updated bookshelf tour or reorganisation this year?
Ooh , good picks for March. Your avg. rating is bound to rise! I did read When the Stars Go Dark in 2023, & gave it 4.25 for gripping plot & strong character exploration. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on Veronica Speedwell-I’ve also been curious but reluctant to start the series
Have only seen it called Clue in Canada
I loved When The Stars Go Dark! It is a stand alone I recommend quite often.
screaming. So excited to hear your thoughts on A Curious Beginning
Another really fun video, thanks a lot Meg! The edits always crack me up, and I love your combination of positive energy and honesty. Really curious to see how many of these are hits for ya. Thanks!
When the stars goes Dark was a BOTM.
Yay!!! A curious beginning finally 😅
i’m so excited ur starting the veronica speedwell series! i was undecided about it after the first book, but really fell in love with each subsequent installment!!
I loved When the Stars Go Dark!
Yay yay yay! It's finally Veronica Speedwell time!! 🥳
I actually read when the Stars Go Dark back in 2022, I liked it well enough but the Authors note at the end MAKES the book, I swear it had me balling!!
So excited to read Natural Beauty for the book club! Such a good pick🎉
When the Stars go Dark was really good. Best thriller I'd read in ages.
OMG I finally read Pride & Prejudice this past month. I did a whole Jane Austen reading month. So excited to see the reading vlog! 11:50
Unrelated to the video sorry, but since you're on this side of the country now, you should totally come down to Devon and visit Greenway, Agatha Christie's holiday home 😊 maybe wait until the weather is a bit better though 😂
i read when the stars go dark last year and actually right after i booked a trip to the town it’s set in because i loved the vibes HAHAHA (i only live a few hours away so it wasn’t that crazy to do!)
In Canada it's called Clue!
I enjoyed when the stars go dark!!! I hope you like it!!!
It's Cluedo in Australia too
MEG!! I had the best of ideas!!!! For your recommended books video series, put your favourite books + what you want and ask CHAT GBT!!! I'm sure this would be mega fun and you can have a conversation with it
When the Stars go Dark was a Book of the Month pick a couple of years ago. I never read it.
It's Cluedo in Australia 🥰
When the Stars Go Dark was a BOTM pick a while ago, so that's probably why it has so many ratings!
is this my sign to finally read Veronica Speedwell as well?
Just joined your patreon :)
in Australia it's Cluedo :)
we call it cluedo in germany too so idk
olivia wilde nod to a curious beginning
The only one i've read is How to Kill Your Family but I hated it 🤣
Same, couldn’t dnf it fast enough 💀
I'm really curious about whether you'll like the Veronica Speedwell series. Against popular opinion, I don't think you'll love it lol I predict you giving the first one a 3 or 3.5 stars
I was the only person in the world (seemingly) who enjoyed How to kill your family so BE WARNED, literally everyone on gr hated it 😭😭
I am confused how does this game work where are the prompts
I really did not like How to Kill Your Family 😅
It’s Clue here in Canada. No offence but wtf is Cluedo why is it called that
how the stars go dark is in your tbr and magicly you unwrap de book in the other video? U fake it?
Nope! I film my unwrapping a book prior to then making that month’s TBR Cluedo, so if a prompt fits the Wrapped Up book I can include it in my TBR
summoning @KatieColson for your reading of veronica speedwell
