Never too late to start saving money. I am having a great time reading my tbr. I found so many 5 stars reads. Also I'm on the last books of series I wanted to get to for so long. I still have a lot of books tho. I want to get it down to 80 this year (i include the ebooks I really want to read) and next year to 30-40 books
I started my zero TBR challenge two years ago and I am now at 57ish. I unhauled a lot, I read a lot and now I make smarter choices when it comes to buying new books. I basically buy a book when I NEED to read it RIGHT NOW. I buy it, I read it, I return to my TBR. I still have a long way ahead of me, but so far this works well for me 😊 Good luck with your journey! Just remember, owning a lot of books is a luxury and needs to be enjoyed to the fullest! So savor every book and every moment and you will have a lot of fun along the way 😊
Hearing your experience gives me hope that I will be able to complete this challenge as well. Your idea of buying books sounds good. I will need to implement something similar to my book buying. I definitely never forget that owning a lot of books is a luxury. I am forever grateful for the books I own. I will remember to savour every book and moment of this challenge.
As someone with a relatively small tbr I genuinely don't understand why so many people with big tbrs always talk about the options. Bookstores exist, if I really want to pick up a book I can get the eBook right now. Even if a physical version is not available I can order one and it'll be at my house in two days. I feel like I am actually more flexible in what I read because I don't have to always consider what is on my tbr at home and I also have more financial freedom because I just spend so much less money overall on reading. I've also tried reading to zero before but I've never even made it to the single digits, so I am excited tp watch you do it!
I really don't understand either why I had it in my head for the longest time that a bigger tbr means more options. Everything you said makes so much sense. It is a realisation I have slowly been coming to and is a major reason why I am doing this challenge.
I'd really like to do this too, I'm so overwhelmed by my TBR. I don't have 200, but I do have more than 100. What a great challenge. I think I'll join you!
Good on you. I am rooting for you! TBR Zero 2.0 here we come! You can accomplish it. I started with 100+ unread books (I think it was about 150) now I'm down to about 60-70 unread. You can do it.
I like how you split up your goals! I think I need to do the same so I can have smaller goals chunks, such as great idea, thank you!! And best of luck on your reading journey 😊
I’m really glad libraries exist. Then I can read a book or start a series without having to pay for the book. Good luck on your tbr, mine is quite long as well.
If you have kindle unlimited id suggest getting rid of it to save money and concentrate on the physical copies you have. I never got KU, as much as I love reading I'm not a fast reader and also I'm a mood reader so I do not read all the time, for that reason I typically buy the 99p kindle books. Or the odd book i really want to own on kindle. I would never in theory spend a year's worth of subscription on kindle books so I would still save money. With the benefit of owning the books. If its not much more money or sometime less money I will buy the physical copy.
Thanks for you advice about kindle unlimited and I totally get where you are coming from. I don't think I will be getting rid of it for the moment because I use it to be able to read books of my physical TBR when I am not at home. I don't like carrying around a physical copy of a book because I am worried that they will get damaged. Another thing I do is I frequently cancel kindle unlimited so I never pay for it for the whole year. So I only have it when I am actually using it.

Going from the 300s to 0. We’ve got this!!!
@@shelby5725 Yesss we do!!
I'm so glad you're doing this challenge again. I remember when you were doing before.
Thank you so much.
Looking forward to following your progress. I’m about to start the same project. I’m tired of being addicted to book buying 😩😩
Thanks. Lets both try and tackle our book buying addictions.
I'd really like to do this too, I'm so overwhelmed by my TBR. I don't have 200, but I do have more than 100. What a great challenge. I think I'll join you!
That makes me happy to hear. Lets get our TBR's down.
I'm trying to cut my TBR in half before I go to college next month. We're at 220 rn, hoping to get down to at least 130.
I hope you are able to reach your goal.

Thank you so much. Hearing how much you have reduced your TBR definitely helps give me hope that I will be able to do it as well.
Overconsumption has plagued me too! I have 66 I believe but I'm sick of looking at the unread books on my unread books shelf. Doing this together!
I believe in us both. We both will be able to reach our goals.
So happy to find you through your TBR Zero challenge! I am doing one as well and started with over 350 books 🙊
I am hoping we are both able to accomplish our goals in getting our TBR down.
@@laurensbooklife me too 🙊😊

I am so glad libraries exist as well. It is just the worst when they don't have the books I want to read.
😅 i love second hand bookstores but i also just keep collecting. Good luck 👍
Thank you. I really wish I had good second hand bookstores around me but where I live there is none. Which is heartbreaking.
Yeah me too.. my TBR is 1000 I need help 😬
Wow 😮. That is wild that your TBR is 1000 books.
@@laurensbooklife yep! If you need an accountability buddy, let me know!

@@laurensbooklife oh that's good to know. I always get scared about having subscriptions as they're not always straightforward to unsubscribe from.
@@staceymichelle5576 Yeah I totally get what you mean. I am just so thankful that it is so easy to unsubscribe from kindle unlimited.
would you ever consider doing a bookshelf tour/overview? they look stunning!
Yeah I am definitely planning on doing one at some point. I just need to find the right time to film it.
We’ll need an update in 6 months
Okie. I will get that done.
Hey I love your channel and I'm really inspired by this decision to get through your TBR. How long do you reckon is feasible to read per day?
It really depends on how busy I am but on average I will read for at least one hour every day.
I have like 130. Gonna try to get it down. Not gonna lie, I’m still gonna buy more 😅, but i will read more .
@@MsIlovemusic07 I do exactly the same thing when it comes to buying books😂😭.
