She Who Became the Sun is great but it is slower paced grim dark fantasy with lots of military strategy and commentary on gender 😊 It is a duology which is nice
I love She Who Became the Sun!!! The narrator of the audio book is Natalie Naudus, and I highly recommend it, particularly to help with some pronunciations.💚
As someone who does not read much YA anymore, I *adored* Throwback! It would up being in my top 10 last year. The character growth made me emotional, and I highly recommend the audiobook if you can grab it from your library! ***** I also read Pride and Premeditation last year and had a fun time with it! As mentioned above, it takes an incredible 1:1 blurb for me to read YA these days but I thought it was a super solid re-telling. I actually just (as of this morning) started Sense and Second-Degree Murder and like it so far as well. 💚
I think everyone gets happier and more active by spring/summer but especially if you live in places like England where winter seems neverending it makes such a difference! Even when the Spring/summer here is less sunnier than other places😢I swear I get fitter this time of the year but then I become a house potato once again wheb it gets dark soon.
she who became the sun/radiant emperor duology were my favorite books of last year but heads up, it's really an intricate political historical fiction with some magical realism & not fantasy at all
I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority, but I did not really enjoy She Who Became the Sun. I was so excited for it, and I did enjoy the first portion, but as it went on, it became more military and I slowly begun to lose interest. Hopefully you have a better experience with it!
I finished Love Theoretically today, actually and I really enjoyed it. Hope you love it, but almost hope it’s a 4.5 star ONLY because I feel like you’ll kick yourself for not picking it for your first book of the year 😬
It’s weird in this video you mentioned meditation. That always makes me think of the actor Andy Kaufman . I can recommend a good graphic novel about him . Is this guy for real the unbelievable Andy Kaufman by brain box brown . And one movie the real Andy Kaufman you should also try to see my breakfast with Blassie it’s a parody of my dinner with Andre based on the book with the same name .
I recently read she who became the sun and really didn’t enjoy it unfortunately 🥲 tbf I think that’s partly on me because I didn’t realise how much of it was really just about military strategy which just isn’t my vibe but if you’re more into that you might like it! I also found it really slow paced but when there was action it got rushed over so much so the pacing was just a bit odd imo, excited to see how you find it though!
