Hi Jelani...you are a very sensitive man...I can see that you are so moved...I'm moved too.....I remember when that tragedy happened,as Conor's mother is an Italian woman, fairly known in Italy,a kind of showgirl...she had other 3 children after losing Conor and incredibly only one is still alive...one died at only 6 months, for unknown reason, another one, named Loren, committed suicide when he was 19....anyway,Tears in heaven is such a sweet and tragic song, but there's a very positive mood in the lyrics....we all hope that one day we could join the ones we lost along the way....even if the loss of a four-year-old son in such a dramatic way is something that's too hard to bear...thank you for this beautiful song,a big hug to you and everybody here

Thank you soo much! I really appreciate those words. Being a father myself, the idea of even putting myself in Eric's place was too much for me to bear. That's why I admire him so much for being strong enough not only to right a song about this horrific tragedy but to share it with the world. That's a strong man for you.

Listening to music makes me feel as though I'm being cleansed of the negativity the world can throw at me.

I suppose if it started out as catharsis, and turned into tribute, you can understand him wanting to sing it, but I imagine there are more people who would bury it than play it. Each person uses music in there own way. Thank you for the reaction. 🙏👏

Absolutely and I respect Eric Clapton for being able to use music as a healing tool and them be able to share that out. It's something I doubt I could do. I've written very personal songs that till this day, I can't sing without getting emotional. Truly a powerful song.
