Looking for an Iron Golem alternative for my mod pack. This looks really nice. I'd prolly change the recipes to include the Carved Pumpkin to essentially make them Golems, heh.
This mod will obviously and as shown here go well with another that is dedicated to regular enemy attacks on your base or structures that are lived in or built by the player. Without an accompanying mod that changes enemy behavior to be more smart - for example enemy mobs being able to destroy terrain or being able to climb up and down blocks, one could easily exploit it in a way so that it makes the game so easy, which usually leads to pointlessness. Also, if the turrets needed say constant power to fire, it would make it more interesting to figure out how to plan placing and wiring them. But maybe that's just me.
I could see this mod being in a modpack that is dedicated to surviving monster attacks or in another that adds abilities to mobs that normal mobs don't have - opening doors, turning invisible for a short period, seeing you from a great distance only to shadow your movements while closing in, using tactics like splitting into groups - one to draw the fire from the turrets so that the other group can try and get to cover. Without such accompanying mods I can see myself using these turrets as just another way to make mob farm, which isn't something I haven't done before.
Apart from the support needed to this mod from others outside of it so that it can truly shine, great showcase!
why does MMT not work??? plz i really want a mana and artifice pack with ice and fire and i really like your modding style.
Try a different launcher? 8GB RAM too. It doesn't have Ice and Fire FYI
