Dev of Steam 'n Rails and Numismatics here, just to clarify a few points. - Yes, the blaze banker being unbreakable is definitely a bug and will be fixed next update - The reason you couldn't bind the card to the blaze banker was because you had already bound it to yourself - The issue with being able to access an account you are not trusted with by clicking on the bank terminal with a card is also a bug, and will also be fixed in the next update. - While we are unsure whether or not we wish to include a system for selling fluids directly, as Create tends to be strongly against 1 block solutions, and as it is already possible to measure out buckets using spouts. If we decide not to, there will be a ponder included explaining how to create your own systems. - we have quite complex plans for a system of connecting numsimatics to the train network, which will allow for the automatic trading of items and fluids. - While both methods for introducing money into the economy that you suggested are great, we do also have plans for a future update to include a sort of global admin controlled market that will allow players to make certain trades only a limited number of times, for an easier to regulate economy. @@dejojotheawsome We'll definitely add status texts, but the reason you probably couldn't break the blaze banker is because there was money inside, that's done to prevent people from seriously messing up their shop networks accidentally (cause once you break the blaze banker, all the connected cards become effectively unbound) Edit: we aren't planning to add a whole series of protected versions of Create blocks, that's a task best delegated to protection mods. However (as Raz said), we are planning some level of integration for fluid sales
I think it might be a good idea to have some system to lock access to certain blocks behind bank account based permissions - chunk claiming could work (so long as the depositor can still be interacted with), but some stock management locks on storage blocks and related things would allow for a lot more confidence in creating shops for more complicated services without having to claim an entire chunk (like if you have a multi-story store with different people on different floors). On the bright side, I think you might already have everything you need for player locked wireless redstone - assuming the redstone links accept and differentiate between different id cards linked to different players, which will fix some parts of the problem where people can just go via the mechanism instead of the depositor.

Real life money has value because countries can exchange it for gold, but since you'd be able to farm almost anything in most modpacks, you could make the items be different each time and become less or more valuable each time according to economy

People can pay real money for generating currency, and can exchange this currency back to irl in half price or something like this. The difference will go into server maintenance. Everything will work, until microsoft sues you for eula violation or something like this.

I feel like another way you could introduce the currency into the server is via a questline along create progression. If someone has gotten to a certain device then they get a certain amount of money, with brass being like the final one, at which point players are encouraged to start trading to get more
imagine an addon to that addon that makes it so there's a chance for villages to be really advanced and villagers have actual shops set up with numismatics stuff, it would give numismatics a use in singleplayer which would be really cool
Tip: if you want to create a slot machine, get a depositor connected to a dropper randomized with 1 sword or bed and 8 blocks of different types, then plug a 2 redstone line into the output of the comparator of the randomizer and if a signal gets to the end then that means the roller won.
On my server, (since no one knows how to use create but me the only reason they’re there is Vampirism) I have two creative vendors, one you sell a emerald for a sprocket, the other you buy an emerald for a sprocket
Currency content like this and the industrial nature of Create can really create the perfect 1800's style industrial capitalism world. And I live for that in MC now
another suggestion for gaining the money is create missions, which is a mod where every week you get quests to gain diamonds that you can probably configure to give you money
I really wish there was compatibility between this and Enchantment Industry, like you could sell a certain amount of xp for money and that liquid xp goes into an internal tank or maybe an adjacent one
Wonder if the reason you couldn't type the word "Be" in the bank's name was because hitting the "E" key was trying to close you out of the bank inventory, even though the text edit box was selected? Maybe something to look into.
I feel like adding money to the economy is an interesting challenge for the admin and server sides. I've played on a vanilla economy server where you earn currency and prizes by voting for the server on various platforms. I feel like a similar method can be used to earn Numismatics currency on this server. Additionally, the server could automatically give a player a little bit of currency when they log in once a day. The best method would probably be that everyone gets like 1 sun when they log in for the first time.

couldn't you pin the price of a cog to something non-renewable like a diamond set up some creative vendors in spawn or thereabouts that exchange cogs for diamonds and vise versa or would diamonds be too easy to get later on with automatic mining machines and that kind of thing i do like the stimulus quest thing that refreshes every week idea

For economy to work you could have a few creative vendors at a lobby on spawn that buys certain items and maybe change the items every like week or so

Only downside is that it doesn't work with FTB chunk protection so it's not possible to protect both your shops build and have a functioning vendor.
I'm guessing the shop block would need to have the change stocked in order to accept higher coin levels

Massive mining drills can drill up thousands of diamonds will ease and relatively early on
