- In this episode I upgrade my shocks to Bilstein B12s. I know I mentioned in the past that I would not, but something had to give. Fully class legal and at the limit with what I can do to stay in class.
….let’s just hope it makes a difference.

Doesn’t look like you had any install issues, given they’re designed for a C300… right?
Also, now that you’re a year out, how are they holding up? Any regrets or retrospective info to share?
They’ve been great, no issues. Did eliminate some of the body roll and made the car more stable. As for install, no issues at all, everything bolted up like oem

Nice video! Ive had my c63 for 10 years and next year I’ll replace factory suspension with coilovers, but worried about how it’ll handle daily driving over choppy mountain roads. How are you liking these Bilsteins for daily driving?
So far no complaints, although in NC we have pretty smooth roads and I don’t daily drive the car. However, some of the distances I drive for auto crosses or track days I have no complaints. I had to stay on original springs to stay class legal but if I didn’t have to, I would be on coil overs. There will be some compromise but the w204 chassis is pretty good and I think it won’t punish you even on much stiffer suspension.

I purchased them through tire rack, I bought a complete cup kit and used just the Bilstein shocks off it. Kit is the Bilstein B12 Pro Kit
You got a part number on the shocks? I thought they only made a cool over kit for the C63?
I could never find just the shocks, I bought a cup kit (spring and shock combo) and used the shocks from it. It’s a Bilstein B12 Pro Kit

Yes sir, always had good results with the EBCs. Suspension is a lot better I gained nearly a second at the last track, hard to know how much of it was a more car friendly layout vs suspension upgrade

Would u use them with a pair of springs if u could ? And which ones
If rules allowed I would swap the springs I have for it, I had to buy it as a cup kit so I’d run the eibach springs that came with it. B12 Pro Kit is what I bought to pull the shocks out of. I am sure I would see a huge performance upgrade with the springs installed

But I mostly street drive
I just wanted like a 1inch drop and better ride
This oem ride is a shit show man it’s like stiff and then it has body roll lol idk how to explain it.
It’s very skittish handling especially when the suspension compresses like I’ll get snap oversteer
@@elevatedperformance you may have bad shocks. I never really had bad performance stock. Body roll, yes…and that will for sure be on the springs. They use to make sway bars for the C63 but since discontinued them. I think a Bilstein cup kit would be a huge improvement though

Something like that, I don’t remember off the top of my head. If I were to choose between the two I would go for BC coils as you can dial those in to how you like it

Not yet, still sitting in storage. If it doesn’t sell I may continue messing with it.
