@scraplifegarage Congrats Lee! I snuggled up on the couch with a cooler containing my future kidney and we watched the video together. Worth waiting for.
Don’t sweat it Lee! I worked in the collision repair industry for many years, and was one of the only automotive electricians at just about every shop I have ever worked at! Your “crude diagram” is exactly the way I would have done it! It doesn’t need to be beautiful, it just has to make sense to you!
Yep, you said it brother. I am a collision tech currently working for a big shop in Phoenix and often deal with electrical nightmares as well. I do all of the harness replacements and repairs, along with airbag system-related problems.
@@KGisthenameman Nice!! I’m in Phoenix, as well! I’m mostly retired now, building the occasional race car and doing the occasional salvage rebuild, when something interesting and challenging comes along.
I love that you show your troubleshooting and mistakes. Most people would cut it out but it adds a lot more personality and realism to the video. Much respect and keep up the great content bro
UPLOAD!!! Literally just decided to check the channel again to see if another demon video was out. lo and behold. Glad to see it built, Done is a word rarely used on this channel.
Impressive Lee , you don't give yourself enough credit you're a pretty good mechanic and a lot of blood , sweat & tears with it ...i'd never get rid of it
I've been following this build since it began, I'm so glad I was able to see this through. Lots of thought put into it, lots of soul too. I learned a lot myself about rebuilding, the process of swapping harnesses and electronics and fuel and even things I never would have thought about. Makes me appreciate my little Daytona 392 that much more.
After all these wiring headaches of swapping stuff between same models, idk if they're gonna want to deal with swapping an engine that isn't made to fit lmao. That being said, I REALLY HOPE THEY DO IT ANYWAYS. Even if it's just a Durango drivetrain swapped in, that'd be mental lol.
As an owner of a 2015 M6 Hellcat and an overall lover of anything manual trans, I've been super excited for this day! So happy for you Lee! 100% worth the blood sweat and tears. Can't wait for future updates about it!
THANK YOU!!!!! I had the exact same problem with my Crown Vic. No crank. Eventually, I watched my own footage and found that the car would crank with the jumper connected to the bell housing. Not the body, so I found my engine ground strap to be toast. I have been looking for a YEAR (maybe more) to find the right size o ring and cable, and just a glance from yours set me down the Mopar path, to a custom ground strap that was identical to mine, down to the exposed copper. I just ordered them and I can start my baby. Big win for me too!
Im really curious to see where this channel will be in a few years. I think these guys will get a lot more comfortable on camera showing off their personalities a lot more.
Finally, after over a year, the Demon lives! I've been waiting to hear it start for a long time and I am experiencing the same sigh of relief that the crew is.
Please add another couple ground straps to the motor from the chassis!!!!!!!! It’s starting slow and will only burn up the alternator, the red eyes, demons require extra grounds. Also, don’t forget to make sure launch control and the line lock work
9:25 yeaaaaaa....finally get to hear the Phoenix breathing fire...awesome job guys...all the hard work that you have put into the car paid off...button it up and go rippin...😅😅
I don't think I've ever seen you more excited to get a car running. It genuinely made me smile ear to ear to see your excitement as just getting the thing on the service road in front of your shop. I LOVE this build.
Congratulations! The fact that you tackled that build, figured out how to make it work and actually returned it to the road is in a word Awesome! Love your content and presentation style. Hats off to you Sir! For safety’s sake run a scatter shield…if that clutch lets go the floor is not going to protect your legs.
Congratulations been waiting for this video! BUT PLEASE NOTE THIS: if you guys have cooling problems in the future, it can be because you guys installed the wrong intercooler pump system, regular hellcats (which is installed) compared to redeye/demon/170 have different intercooler pump systems.
This is without a doubt my favorite build series in all of youtube. I loved the comedy bits, all of the challenges you showed building it, and really just the entire process from start to finish. You guys have become without a doubt my favorite channel to watch and im ready to get started with my own project car. Maybe ill hit you guys up when its done and let you feature it in a video? *hint 2000hp gtr. But we’ll see
I’ve watching this channel and have been hooked on just for THIS video. I’m thoroughly impressed with this build. How I would love a manual demon myself, BUT lack the talent and time to do this. Very impressed here. 👍 Also, great job in editing this entire story as always.
I'm so happy to see this thing running. This build is what started me on watching your channel and I'm glad to have been part of the journey. I can't wait to see more of what is to come from this car and your other builds. Thank you guys!
Your persistence, perseverance and dedication to this project is above unreal. For a Mopar guy one Demon is cool but to have a selection of Demon’s is over the top.
Lee, your enthusiasm and dedication to the project has inspired me to pull out my old corvette and fix it up again. Thank you for your content and ideas! ❤
Super happy for you bro this came a long way!!! I will say though I noticed you were saying stock Demons make 740ish horsepower but the stock ones make 840 on E-85 and I believe like 808 on pump fuel but it’s basically sitting where it should be for a stock Demon so keep up the good work🎉
This video just makes me happy on so many levels man I don't know what it is but to see Lee sitting in the Demon and doing a crazy burnout just makes my heart happy Im going on over to the truck video now!
So happy to see it drive, I followed the project from the start, patiently waited for every video, I mean it's my dream car so I had to, btw, stock Demons make 808 hp without the drag kit, so you passed it by around 20
Brother, it has been an absolute pleasure watching you and your team build this monster. Your genuine reaction and excitement from feeling that sense of success, made this all the more relatable. Great video.
After watching this from the very first episode and being so happy every release. This video was so satisfying I just watched it twice. The startup is ratchet and it's awesome, thank you.
A challenge absolutely crushed. This particular Demon has quite literally risen from the ashes like a Phoenix, and it'll be a fucking monster for the history books surely.
Dude, this is too serious of a killer beautiful car not to completely pain. It needs the full-on beauty. Love what you guys do and your content. Keep up the great work!!
Lee Junior you are officially a hellcat demon specialist one of the finest in the country now your phones gonna ring off the hook and you’re gonna help people in the hellcat demon community for free congratulations and thank you
@scraplifegarage I’m not a UA-cam watcher by any means but I’ve followed this from the beginning. I have 1 question… “is it a car now?” Not just a shell😂 this is awesome!
After all it took to be in this shape I’m so happy to see it running, thank you for this content Lee, you made me want to buy a demon someday in my life 👌🏻
Nice! I came in very near the end of this build, but I love that you did it! Looking forward to what else you can do with this Demon. I love the content on your channel. I rarely look away now. Take care!
If you guys would have started this channel like 5 years ago you would easily have 2 to 3 million subscribers but I think there are just so many of these channels now. Shame because your content is actually pretty good.
Car is so badass, I'm super proud you saved it, definitely not junk.. these cars are beyond awesome, it's been through hell, but so fuckin badass, congratulations man, I'm happy to see it in operation, and trial and error has paid off bigtime, thank you for saving these cars man, save em all Save the GMs too
I had the same thing happened to me . The ground cable on my 2013 srt Jeep got loose from the alternator to the chassis , So I cleaned it with some sand paper and retighten everything and boom the car started again 😅. Definitely a good kill switch if you don’t drive your mopars often. Just remove the ground cable 🤫
When are the demon headlights getting put into the demon cause it only has one set of demon headlights and the other set is hellcat redeye lights plus when is the dash gonna show the demon logo instead of the hellcat redeye logo when it starts

This series of videos about the demon is what made me subscribe.
Same here
Yes.
Same here man! 😂
Same
Yep same
I love that you show your troubleshooting and mistakes. Most people would cut it out but it adds a lot more personality and realism to the video. Much respect and keep up the great content bro
UPLOAD!!! Literally just decided to check the channel again to see if another demon video was out. lo and behold. Glad to see it built, Done is a word rarely used on this channel.
Well the builds are pretty insane on this channel
Bro literally did the same thing
Impressive Lee , you don't give yourself enough credit you're a pretty good mechanic and a lot of blood , sweat & tears with it ...i'd never get rid of it
Heck yeah! Been watching since the start.
Me to bro
Same. seeing it been turned from a burnt wreck to a running, whining Demon, it was time well spent.

Now make the first Pacifica Demon with a manual
After all these wiring headaches of swapping stuff between same models, idk if they're gonna want to deal with swapping an engine that isn't made to fit lmao.
That being said, I REALLY HOPE THEY DO IT ANYWAYS. Even if it's just a Durango drivetrain swapped in, that'd be mental lol.
Mid Engine Demon Pacifica😁
That would be so dope
There’s a pacifcat in my town 😂
Give the people what they want ! Maybe even a town & country so I can take a girl out on a date
CONGRATULATIONS! Thats a hell of an achievement and its been a blast to see it progress over the last year
There's a guy in Saudi who has a hellcat engine in a 68 dodge charger with a manuel transmission, absolute clean build (home made mostly)
You already know the Middle East, and places like Dubai.... the world's craziest builds -- bar none.
That would be dope if a 79' charger was a thing
Yeah sorry it's a 68 I got the dates mixed up, nice attitude to enquire about it tho wow.@@s0ljawitch503
It was built by cleveland power and performance I'm pretty sure
U sure its saudi or mexico? Because of manuel.

They are heads and tails above most the are authentic not putting on a act very genuine.
I disagree. Their personalities are already on full display...it what's makes this channel so great.
@@edwinblack-rw5xk Well said it's rare on UA-cam most car channels I can only keep interested so long.
@@edwinblack-rw5xkabsolutely agree@MOPAR GUYS!

Last dyno run at 26:18, the exhaust is pushing it self out of the back of the car. I don't know why or how I noticed it but figured I'd point it out
@Scraplifegarage
Congratulations. You know it’s making power when you can’t hear the blower whining. Coolest build of 2024.
9:25 yeaaaaaa....finally get to hear the Phoenix breathing fire...awesome job guys...all the hard work that you have put into the car paid off...button it up and go rippin...😅😅
This has been my favorite project. I needed this, to see that there was still dedication to 3-pedal cars. Awesome!
I don't think I've ever seen you more excited to get a car running. It genuinely made me smile ear to ear to see your excitement as just getting the thing on the service road in front of your shop. I LOVE this build.

Making a modern Dodge Demon rebuild took three Hellcat & 1 Scapac Challenger's this was amazing series Scraplife Garage
Congratulations been waiting for this video! BUT PLEASE NOTE THIS: if you guys have cooling problems in the future, it can be because you guys installed the wrong intercooler pump system, regular hellcats (which is installed) compared to redeye/demon/170 have different intercooler pump systems.
Wow I guessed 820 HP last video and I'm very satisfied with that accuracy
819 was mine. You win

NICE WORK! You know what would be cool is a short film about the car....almost like Christine..a cursed burnt demon..it writes itself.
FINALLYYYY
Proud man, Been watching since the series started even before. always loved watching the demon videos. Congratulations ❤
DAMN RIGHT!!!

I came to the comments to say this. I think he was thinking about Hellcat horsepower or something.
Seeing all the places I frequently go to is so cool to me. It’s awesome seeing stuff like this local to me. Good work on the car yall

i think you should keep the burned spots on the car other than the mirror of course to give it character and what its been through
A challenge absolutely crushed. This particular Demon has quite literally risen from the ashes like a Phoenix, and it'll be a fucking monster for the history books surely.
23:35 lol camera has the perfect frame rate so that the wheels look like they're not spinning 😂
I am SO SO excited to see this race, especially against your demon truck. Fantastic content, you guys have been doing great!
5:37 These are the moments. I need a compilation of all first cranks. You gotta include the build up too 😂
at 26:20 mark you can see the exhaust tips slowly start to pull out from the bumper when you do that pull. I'd check up on that
These build is so awesome. It’s a rebuild and you made it a 1 of 1 all at the same time. Such an awesome build series!
the demon was the reason i started watching this channel its so insane to see it finished

So does it know it's a demon or is it just a hellcat ecu tuned up to the bigger engine/charger combo?
Great job, it is nice to see the Demon visiting under the Narrows Bridge, enjoy the ride.
Awesome man finally got the demon running and driving. Sounds incredible.
Congrats Lee! So f’n awesome to watch the whole series with my son over the last year! Looking forward to seeing the Demon Truck 😮

Since the RF is sooo much heavier than LF, consider 2-3 psi more in the RF.
FRONT:
Caster: middle of spec (if you have roads that crown or slope down to the right, then LF caster is 0.2 to 0.3 deg more than RF to keep it straight),
Camber: 0 deg is good, I doubt you will road race it,
Toe-in: minimum of spec = least rolling resistance. I suggest: NOT 0 toe, NOT negative or toe-out.
REAR: still has the IRS, yes? Set toe to minimum of spec = least rolling resistance (I would suggest 0, but with IRS and bushing squish, I wonder if toe would go toe-out at the drags = unstable?).
