After this collab, the next one will be Toby wearing a grey mustache and wig, and calling himself "Terry" to take bouldering lessons from a gym employee, who will be shocked when he sends a V15 in rental shoes.
@@AbiSaysThingsit work a bit better when M climb with character that is entertaining… and knows how to work the camera audience , it fun to see a loud kid with the quiet one , but with 2 …. It’s how I fix my sleepless nights
The climbing was cool to see, but the casual conversation was even cooler. The whole video really felt pretty uncut and raw in the best way. Magnus mentioned to keep your videos “real” and I feel like you’ll have an easy time of it if they stay like this. Great stuff. 🙌🏼
We are spoiled with many epic climbing collaborations recently, and this is definitely amongst the coolest! Your channel is quickly becoming one of the cleanest, so thank you for all your hard work. Can't wait to see you climb in future world cups!!
It's just so lovely how genuine and awkward (in a good way) this is ☺️ You can really tell that comp Magnus admires comp Toby and UA-cam Toby admires UA-cam Magnus. It's been really impressive to see how Magnus has adapted to all his collabs in different vids recently. I hope that UA-cam can give Toby the confidence he needs on the wall. Man you're amazing ! Love you both and wish the best for you ❤
Got this in my feed just a few days after the Paris Olympic final. Congrats Toby for such splendid performance and gold medal 🥇! Cheers! Been following Magnus for a few years, such a wholesome and legit guy, a great friendship to cultivate.
2 of my favourite climbers, nice! I love that magnus can't not ask questions. Feels almost like a climb and interview cause he just wants to know what we all do xD.
Agree with what Magnus said about being yourself, as a viewer, its much nicer to see how the person feels, are they happy? Sad? Frustrated? I think i enjoy watching Magnus because he is always the same, humble, genuine, and fun. 👍Good vid btw👍
So cool!!! Magnus's been collabing with many great people! I came from his channel to yours and it's very nice to meet you Toby! Also watched your "6 World Cup gold medallists..." video! What a delight it was, you guys are crazy strong. Subscribed to your channel :) And good luck in further competitions and stuff
It finally feels like the UA-cam climbing space is getting into an area the audience truly loves. Simply just bagging a bunch of routes and climbing with other UA-camrs sometimes for the collabs. Past few months has been so great for gym climbing videos.
Toby's channel and also Maddy Richardson's channel give a really great insight into the competition live. It's really interesting to watch. I fully agree with Magnus that it's the honesty that make the videos so valuable.
A different type of video but still really nice to see. Great collab idea and some cool climbing too. The convos between you and Magnus are really interesting to listen to and the mutual respect formed between this pair of insanely strong climbers is nice to watch. Thank you so much for making fantastic videos and good luck with comps!!!!
Watching Magnus‘ videos kind of got me into climbing and your videos have brought me so much joy in the last year. Just awesome to see the two of you climbing together and having these super genuine talks🤩 Can‘t wait to root for you in the Olympic Games!🥳
Nice pieces of 'advice' from Magnus. Been watching Toby's channel from the start (as well as Magnus') and he has a very interesting take on this vlogging thing, which is fresh and super genuine and tongue in cheek at times. Keep going, you'll love these vids in 20 years time, as Magnus said it's your diary. Right attitude, super strong climbing and still a teen. Things aren't looking too bad. One day it'd be nice to see Toby outdoors. But then again I don't know if he's on the Ondra side of things on that front.
Thank you for the nice comment! I’m definitely psyched to go outdoors I am just prioritising training for the Olympics at the moment but I can’t wait to get outdoors 😈

I'm about to go to London on a trip and I will absolutely be going to this gym to try out the boulders for myself so I can appreciate how insanely strong you guys are! Thanks for another great video :)
Great collab. It's nice to see different aspects of climbing and the surroundings outside of it. I've followed magnus' channel for a while and that got me into enjoying watching comps, I admit I was definitely watching Adam Ondra at first but as a fellow brit your climbs were great to see. I'm sure you'll keep improving, keep up the great content Toby 👏🏼
Loved the video Toby, always a pleasure to watch! I'm curious to see Magnus' video now just to see what made him so tired ^^ And "It's a weird problem to have, but it's definitely a problem" is iconic :D

What an awesome collab! I love the raw footage of the conversation. It’s just my preference but I like the climbing sounds rather than background music. Been really enjoying the climbing videos - a cool insight to how you train!
@@patrickwhiting4831 well why even try to grade at that point? I definitely like the no grade boulders, but if you're going to set boulders with grades, the grade range shouldn't be more than 2.
@@g3rm422 it's kind of the same as having a V6+ category, except with a clearly defined limit rather than just 'oh i guess they probably wouldnt really set many V11 boulders'
@@joelcoool while this could in theory be right, i am fairly certain that the setters are not using such an approach, but rather not taking the time to find a suitable grade. in the end though, the only thing that matters is the quality of the climbs
It will be a grade range category to signify that it's "between the hardest grade we colour category and the hardest climb we would set", it's the problem with colour coded grading systems, the diversity of holds you need to set a 12 V grade range (VB-V10) in a predetermined colour in a gym means you'd need a huge number of holds in each colour, plus a range of colours that ultimately will not be accessible to colorblind climbers (or anyone once they are chalky enough). VB to V4 will most likely have a colour each and then anything above that level will be green and for climbers to estimate the actual grade. My gym has a similar system and if you ask the setters they will give you an actual V grade. Colour systems are more accessible and less intimidating for new/beginner climbers and tag labels are more useful for advanced climbers it's a definate tradeoff that a gym has to decide.
An absolute honor to climb with you🙌🏼
