For a freebie, I'd add the Monastery Grand, from Melda - I think this is a gem, but a little effort to get it installed via the Melda installation mechanisms, though no more I guess than if you were going Kontakt. Yes, there are plenty of ambience adjusters and funky effects with the plugin, but if you just want the raw power and finesse of a well-sampled GP without the gimmicks, and for free, this is top of my list at the moment.
@@reynaldofix - Can I suggest StudioLogic's Numa Player (v2 just released). This has a few varieties of pianos and also some electric pianos and strings/pads, and all for free. Their Steinway Model D is very impressive for a freebie - hard to believe the quality in a 254MB download!!! Like some other apps that Dixon goes through in this clip you can layer any of the other instruments iike strings, pads, even a choir, over the piano for those dreamy/ambient piano mixes, but it also has a dead-simple zoning capability, so you can set up different parts of the keyboard for different sounds, and lots of standard effects. But what I really like about this, is that it has a stand-alone executable version in addition to a VST3 plugin - this is perfect for when you just want to flop down in front of the keyboard and play, play, play........ie, no setting up your DAW, no running Kontakt or other "shells". If your PC is running, and MIDI KB connected, you're set to play in the same time it takes to lift a real piano's lid :) Happy to hear about any others you may have tried out.
Oh look, a new Dixon video. New plugins. Great. Let me check if my laptop needs more plugins. Let me get the fire extinguisher first in case the fucker explodes.
@@DixonBeats You should be ashamed of yourself 😉 no all jokes aside, I have a serious question. I have a macbook pro from (2017) I was sitting at the beach near Amsterdam just trying out some plugins from your previous video’s. My laptop was fully charged but after 40 minutes it was already below 20%. I want to buy a powerbank or some kind of external powerstation. Do you have any tips? Great video again by the way. I love the house piano and the Noire Felt.
Hmmm not sure I’ve ever used a power bank i normally make do with my MacBook on 100%, I think the M1/2/3 MacBooks battery life is better that’s what have. Also, if it was a hot day that could’ve been a factor on draining your MacBook 🥵
The House Piano is a sampled M1 under the hood so if you already have M1 (50 bucks on sale) you will not need this one. I think the preset is called Piano'16 in M1.
Hy guys, I tried getting the free heavyocity banks but I have to get their portal but I can't download them from the portal due to install location. can someone help me?

Anytime!
Hm... Any tips on how to clear 256gb of storage on a 128gb SSD?
🥲🥲🥲
If money isn’t an issue what are your top three piano plugins? I’m not looking for free or budget-friendly options.
I like the KEYSCAPE pianos & Noir library for Kontakt
Thanks man

Thanks for letting us know mate! And if you don’t have the M1 you can just get this one for free instead? 👀👀
@@DixonBeats If you don't own M1 and want a free house piano, I bet House Piano is a decent alternative, yes. 🙂
for the life of me, I can't get attic grand. it's either gone or hidden, do you know which?
BOTH, they've started doing this thing now when they add a new library they take away one. :(
🔥
and this is good for house?
is labs still free?
Yesirrr

Nah I’m not sure about the location thing? No way to reset the location settings & reinstall?
@DixonBeats I may have to reinstall the whole portal. Tried changing the location but nothing happened.
